The fun of fingertip shooting control
The COOLPIX S60 not only adds further polish to the elegant sophistication, smooth
curves and beautiful finish of Nikon’s compact wave-surface design, but it also introduces
a new dimension of fun and intuitive operation via a new 3.5-inch TOUCH PANEL LCD
screen. One touch will prove that taking pictures has never been this fun before.
HOME screen
The HOME screen presents you with large icons that are easy to understand, and that
offer easy selection of operating modes or controls, without hesitation or error. It’s as
easy to switch between modes at a touch while operating the camera, and even to
control the zoom via icons on the TOUCH PANEL.
Face-priority Auto Zoom
Touch the panel to select your subject for automatic zoom
Advanced features include the ability to lock autofocus and exposure on your subject
by simply touching the corresponding location on the panel. Face-priority Auto Zoom
lets you touch the panel to select a subject and have the camera zoom in automatically
to capture the frame as you’d wish.
• Nikon In-Camera Innovations
•In-Camera Red-Eye Fix™

of red-eye in the camera. You may
never see red-eye again
•Improved Face-Priority AF

A whole new world of playback pleasure
Touch controls bring a whole new dimension of fun to viewing images on the large
3.5-inch TOUCH PANEL LCD, from flipping through thumbnail images with your fingers,
to quickly selecting and switching between images. You can even use the TOUCH PANEL
LCD and supplied stylus to write handwritten memos to accompany selected images.
HDMI connectivity allows you to enjoy high-quality playback and slide shows on an HDTV.
Sample photos for illustrative purposes.
The 3.5-inch LCD newly developed for the COOLPIX S60 is a delight to both the eyes and
the fingers. The monitor’s amazing size, high resolution, 16:9 widescreen display, and 160°
wide-viewing angle alone make picture-taking and playback more fun and exciting. But it’s
the addition of intuitive TOUCH PANEL control that introduces the simplicity and outright
pleasure of easy fingertip control over most camera operations. And the panel features
a hard-coated finish that protects against damage and wear.
