2. Health and Safety Information
Please read the following important health and safety information before using this charging
cradle or AC adapter. Users should also refer to the important health and safety information
contained in the Nintendo 3DS XL Operations Manual.
The use of these products by children should only be allowed with the full supervision of a
parent or legal guardian.
•Do not disassemble or try to repair the charging cradle or AC adapter.
•Do not damage the charging cradle or AC adapter.
•Do not expose the charging cradle or AC adapter to excessive physical shock such as
dropping them or treading on them.
•Do not use damaged products. If you notice any damage to the Nintendo 3DS™ XL system
(SPR-001(EUR)), charging cradle (SPR-007) or AC adapter (WAP-002(UKV)), or any unusual
sounds, smells or smoke emanating from them, turn off the power to the system, remove
the AC plug from the plug socket, remove the system from the charging cradle and contact
Nintendo Customer Support.
•If the external flexible cable or cord of this product becomes damaged, it should be re-
placed by Nintendo Customer Support in order to avoid any potential hazards.
•Do not spill liquids on the charging cradle or AC adapter or insert any foreign materials
into them. This can lead to fire, electric shocks and/or malfunctions. If the products come
into contact with liquids or if any foreign materials are inserted into them, discontinue
use immediately and contact Nintendo Customer Support.
•This AC adapter can be used with the following:
– Nintendo 3DS XL system (SPR-001(EUR))
– Nintendo 3DS XL charging cradle (SPR-007)
– Nintendo 3DS™ system (CTR-001(EUR))
– Nintendo 3DS charging cradle (CTR-007)
– Nintendo 2DS™ system (FTR-001)

Using the AC adapter with an incompatible unit can cause fire, battery leakage, combustion,
explosion or electric shocks.
•This charging cradle can only be used with a Nintendo 3DS XL system. Do not use it with
any other system.

3. How to Use the Charging Cradle
The charging cradle allows you to recharge your Nintendo 3DS XL system quickly and easily.

Connect the DC connector plug to the charging cradle.
Note:
•Be sure the DC connector plug is the right way up before inserting it into the charging cradle to avoid
damaging either the DC connector plug or charging cradle.
•Be sure to place the charging cradle on a level surface.
Place the Nintendo 3DS XL system on top of the
charging cradle.
Note: Place the front edge of the system into the cradle first.
Starting from the back or sides may not allow the system to
sit correctly in the cradle, and using excessive force to correctly
position the system in such cases may cause damage.
Insert the AC adapter plug into the plug socket
and gently push until it is fully inserted.
The AC adapter should be plugged into an easily accessible socket that is near the
equipment to be charged.
The recharge LED on the system should light up to show that the system is recharging.
The recharge LED will go dark when recharging is complete.
When recharging is complete...
Remove the AC adapter plug from the plug socket and remove the Nintendo 3DS XL system
from the charging cradle.
Note: If you play a game while the system is recharging, the recharge LED may not always turn off once
charging has completed. This is not a malfunction.

•Do not dispose of the charging cradle or AC adapter in a fire. When disposing of them,
follow appropriate local guidelines and regulations.
•Do not expose the charging cradle or AC adapter to heat and heat sources such as heaters
or stoves, and try not to expose them to direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
•Do not use or store the charging cradle or AC adapter in very humid environments or in
places with high levels of dust or soot.
•This product is compatible with any 220 – 240-volt AC wall socket. Be sure to connect
the AC adapter to the correct voltage (AC 220 – 240V).
•Do not use the AC adapter if the cable or plug is damaged.
•Keep the AC plug clean by wiping it with a dry cloth.
•Do not plug too many devices into plug sockets or multi-plug adapters, and do not
connect multiple multi-plugs together.
•Be sure to plug in and remove the AC adapter properly.
•Do not place the charging cradle or AC adapter within easy reach of young children or pets,
or in places where there is a risk they could fall into their reach.
•For your safety, do not touch the charging cradle or AC adapter while charging during a
thunderstorm. Doing so could lead to electrocution from conducted lighting.
•Do not touch the terminals of the charging cradle with any foreign materials or metal
objects. Doing so can lead to fire, electrocution, short-circuits and / or malfunctions.
•If the charging cradle or AC adapter get dirty, wipe the exterior clean with a soft, slightly
damp cloth (use water only). Do not clean with paint thinner, alcohol or any other solvent.
•The AC adapter should be regularly examined for damage to the cord, plug enclosure and
other parts.
•The AC adapter is for indoor use only.
•Do not place the charging cradle or AC adapter directly in front of air-conditioning units
or in areas which experience sudden changes in temperature and / or are subject to
condensation.
•Should the charging cradle or AC adapter become exhausted, please do not dispose of
them in your general waste. Instead, please dispose of them separately in accordance
with your local recycling laws and regulations. Waste electrical and electronic equipment
may contain hazardous substances, which, if not treated properly, can be harmful to the
environment and human health. For more information on the separate collection systems
for waste electrical and electronic equipment that are available for consumers, free of
charge, near you, please contact your local municipal authority.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol means that this product should not be
disposed of in your general household waste. Waste electrical and electronic
equipment may contain hazardous substances which, if not treated properly,
could lead to damage to the environment and human health. Instead, please
contact your local authority for information on suitable collection and recycling
facilities available to you, or contact your local retailer to see if they have a
free collection facility. This way you will be helping to ensure that the equipment is properly
treated and its parts recovered, recycled or reused in an environmentally friendly way.

12-MONTH WARRANTY – NINTENDO ACCESSORIES
MANUFACTURER`S WARRANTY
This warranty covers Nintendo accessories for use with Nintendo consoles (the “Product”) supplied by
Nintendo of Europe GmbH (“Nintendo”).
Subject to the terms and exclusions below, Nintendo warrants to the original consumer purchasing the Product
(“you”) that, for a period of 12 months from the date of the purchase of the Product by you, the Product will
be free from defects in materials and workmanship.
To make a valid claim under this warranty, you must notify Nintendo of the defect in the Product within 12 months
of the date of the purchase of the Product by you, and you must return the Product to Nintendo within 30 days
of notifying Nintendo of that defect. If, having inspected the Product, Nintendo accepts that the Product is
defective, Nintendo will (at its sole discretion) either repair or replace the part causing the defect, or replace
the Product without charge.
This manufacturer’s warranty does not affect any statutory rights which you may have under
consumer protection legislation as the purchaser of goods. The benefits provided by this
warranty are in addition to those rights.
EXCLUSIONS
This warranty does not cover:
• software, games or Nintendo consoles (whether included with the Product at the time of purchase or not);
• accessories, peripherals or other items that are intended for use with the Product but are not manufactured
by or for Nintendo (whether included with the Product at the time of purchase or not);
• the Product if it was purchased outside the European Economic Area and Switzerland;
• the Product if it has been resold, or used for rental or commercial purposes;
• defects in the Product that are caused by accidental damage, your and/or any third party’s
negligence, unreasonable use, modification, use with products not supplied, licensed or authorised for use
with the Product by Nintendo (including, but not limited to, non-licensed game enhancements, copier devices,
adapters, power supplies or non-licensed accessories), computer viruses or connecting to the internet or
other forms of electronic communication, use of the Product other than in accordance with the instructions
in the respective Nintendo Operations Manual or any other instructions provided with the Product (the
“Nintendo Documentation”), or any other cause unrelated to defects in material and workmanship;
• defects in the Product that are caused by the use of faulty, damaged or leaking batteries or battery packs,
or any other use of batteries or battery packs not in accordance with the instructions in the respective
Nintendo Documentation;
• gradual decrease over time in the capacity and performance of batteries and battery packs for Nintendo
consoles (including NTR-003, USG-003,TWL-003, UTL-003, CTR-003, SPR-003, and WUP-012) and for the
Product (which, for the avoidance of doubt, will not be deemed to be a defect in material or workmanship);
• the Product if it has been opened, modified or repaired by any person or company other than Nintendo or
its authorised partners, or if the Product has its serial number altered, defaced or removed;
• loss of any data that has been loaded onto or stored on the Product by any person or company other than
Nintendo or its authorised partners.
HOW TO MAKE A CLAIM

Before sending the Product to Nintendo Customer Support, you should remove or delete any private or
confidential files or data. You accept and agree that Nintendo will not be responsible for any loss, deletion or
corruption of your files or data that have not been deleted or removed. Nintendo strongly recommends that
you make a backup copy of any data that you do not remove or delete.
When sending the Product to Nintendo Customer Support, please:
1. use the original packaging where possible;
2. provide a description of the defect;
3. attach a copy of your proof of purchase, ensuring that it indicates the date of purchase of the Product; and
4. ensure that it is received by Nintendo within 30 days of the original notification of a qualifying defect.
If the above 12-month warranty period has expired at the time the defect is notified to Nintendo or if the
defect is not covered by this warranty, Nintendo may still be prepared to repair or replace the part causing
the defect or replace the Product (at its sole discretion). Independently of this, you may also have statutory
rights under consumer protection legislation as the purchaser of consumer goods. For further information or,
