7.0 CALIBRATION MENU
Allow 5 minutes warm-up time (power on) before attempting calibration. In SETUP MENU, change standby time
to 10 minutes to stop the counter from switching off. When finished, reduce standby time to save battery power.
Calibration should be performed while the counter is running on battery power.
Place the counter on a flat, stable surface. Do not lean or make contact with thesurface during calibration. Make
sure the room is free from excessive air drafts
Press |} MENU key andselectOPTIONS
Select CALIBRATION MENU from the OPTIONS MENU
7.1 CALIBRATING SCALES
To maintain accuracy the counter canbecalibrated using a precise 100gweight
Select CALIBRATE SCALES from calibration menu
Start calibration and follow screen prompts (ESC key can be used to abort calibration at any time)
On completion, select one of two options:
If any banknotes or coins were previously calibrated, select USER CALIBRATED, other-
wise select FACTORY DEFAULT
7.2 CALIBRATING SCOOP
To use a different scoop to the one supplied, it needs to be calibrated first.
Select CALIBRATE SCOOP from calibration menu
Start calibration and follow screen prompts
7.3 CALIBRATING PACKAGING ITEMS
Calibration requires between 10 and 100 samples of packaging items such as elastic bands, paper clips,
etc. Use only elastic bands with consistent width and diameter.
Select CALIBRATE PACKAGE and the type of package to be calibrated
Select a sample quantity to be usedfor calibration
Select used quantity (1-12, number of packaging items used tomake a package)
Start calibration and follow screen prompts

8.0 PRINT FUNCTIONS
Press PRINT key to display the print optionsmenu

Use or key to change between coins and banknotesscreen
Press PRINT key to individually print afull breakdown of coins orbanknotes
Auto Print Press ENTER key to toggle automatic print option
(Every time a count is registered, it will be printed automatically with current time & date)
9.0 POWER MANAGEMENT
The money counter can be operated from the internal battery or mains charger. The counter is not supplied with
a charger and can be charged from a standard 5V-USB charger used for smartphones, tablets and similar devic-
es via the USB cable supplied with the counter.
To prevent damage to personnel and equipment, use only reputable brand chargers like Apple, Samsung, etc.
To save battery power, banknote and coin counter will enter standby after a period of inactivity determined by
the STANDBY setting. Selectshortest practicalstandby time from the OPTIONS MENU.
LCD backlight uses significant amount of battery power. The backlight will be reduced after a period of inactivity
determined by the BACKLIGHT setting. Select shortest practical backlight time from the OPTIONS MENU.www.noteandcoin.com

1.0 COUNTING MODES
Money counters models NCS15Band NCS15BM have 9 counting modes, described in sec-
tions 1.1 to 1.9. The money counter must be operated in the correct mode to ensure proper
counting. Counting modes can be enabled or disabled from appearing on the main screen.
Press |} MENU key,selectOPTIONSand then MODE SELECT MENU
Use orkeys to select and ENTER key to enable or disable currently selected mode
1.1 COUNTING LOOSE BANKNOTES AND COINS
Select NOTES & COINS counting mode using or key
For counting loose banknotes refer to section 1.2
For counting loose coins refer to section 1.7
1.2 COUNTING LOOSE BANKNOTES
Select LOOSE NOTES counting mode using or key
Select the required denomination using or key
Place up to 100 loose banknotes of the same denomination on the note counter
Add more banknotes or remove some banknotes if necessary
Final count will be registered when all the banknotes are removed from the note counter
1.3 COUNTING PACKAGED BANKNOTES - FLATS
10 banknotes of the same denomination retained with an elastic band, strap, clip, etc.
Select FLATS counting mode using or key
Select the required denomination using or key
Placea pack of flats on the counter. Add or remove one pack at a time if necessary
Final count will be registered when all flats are removed from the note counter
“NON-STANDARD QUANTITY!” warning will appear if a pack contains more or less than 10 banknotes
Packaging items such as elastic bands and others may have to be calibrated before use (section 7.3)
1.4 COUNTING PACKAGED BANKNOTES - BUNDLES
100 banknotes of the same denomination retained with an elastic band, strap, clip, etc.
Select BUNDLES counting mode using or key
Select the required denomination using or key
Placea bundle of banknotes on the counter. Add or remove one bundleat a time if necessary
Final count will be registered when all bundles are removed from the note counter
“NON-STANDARD QUANTITY!” warning will appear if a bundle contains < or > than 100 banknotes
Packaging items such as elastic bands and others may have to be calibrated before use (section 7.3)
1.5 COUNTING PACKAGED BANKNOTES – SLEEVES (SLEEVED BUNDLES)
100 banknotes of the same denomination retained with a paper or plastic strap
Operation is identical to Bundles above
Paper and plastic straps may have to be calibrated before use (section 7.3)
1.6 COUNTING PACKAGED BANKNOTES – BUNDLED FLATS
10 flats, each retained with one elastic band plus 2 elastic bands retaining the 10 flats
Operation is identical to Bundles above
Elastic bands may have to becalibrated before use (section 7.3)
1.7 COUNTING LOOSE COINS
To use a different scoop to the one supplied, it must first be calibrated (section 7.2)
Select LOOSE COINScounting mode using or key
Select the required denomination using or key
Placeeither an empty scoop or scoop with coins on thecoin counter
Add more coins of the same denomination or remove some coins if necessary
Final count will be registered when the scoop is removed from the coin counter
1.8 COUNTING BAGGED COINS
Coins of the same denomination in a plastic bag
Select BAGGED COINS counting mode using or key
Select the required denomination using or key
Placea single bag of coins on the coin counter
Add or remove one bag at a time if necessary
Final count will be registered when all the bags are removed from the coin counter
1.9 COUNTING ROLLED COINS
Coins of the same denomination wrapped in paper
Operation is identical to Bagged Coins above
2.0 AUTOCOUNT FOR BAGGED AND ROLLED COINS
AutoCount allows automatic denomination recognition of standard bagged/rolled coins and will recognise bags
and rolls that have up to 2 extra coins or short of 2 coins. AutoCount is only available for certain currencies.
To enable AutoCount:
Press |} MENU key andselectAUTOCOUNT
Select COIN RECOGNITION ON and press ENTER key
To use AutoCount:
Select BAGGED COINS or ROLLED COINS counting mode using or key
Place a standard coin bag or roll of any denomination on the coin counter
Correct denominationwill be recognised and displayed
Add or remove one bag or roll at a time if necessary
3.0 AUTOSCROLL FOR TILL COUNTING
Automatically selects next or previous denominations after a count. Available for all loose counting modes
To enable AutoScroll:
Press |} MENU key and selectAUTOSCROLL
Select direction of Low to Highor High to Low denomination and press ENTER key
4.0 CURRENCY (NCS15BM ONLY)
NCS15BM handles up to six different currencies simultaneously. The cash counter supports all major world
currencies and is supplied with AUD, NZD, USD, CAD, EUR & GBR as standard. It can also be customised for
any currency or a combination of currencies
To change currency:
Press |} MENU key andselectCURRENCY
Select the required currency from the currency menu
5.0 NON-CASH ITEM COUNTER AND WEIGHING SCALES
Press |} MENU key andselectSCALES
Press |} MENU key again to alternate between ITEM COUNTERand WEIGHING SCALES
5.1 ITEM COUNTER
Press key to calibrate the items to be counted
Select sample quantity and start calibration
Placeup to 3Kg of items to be counted on the item counter
Final count will be registered when all items are removed from the counter
5.2 WEIGHING SCALES
Use or key tochange engineering units
Place up to 3Kg of items to be weighed on thescales
Use key to tare the scales if necessary
