Please read these operating instructions
carefully. They are brief but very
important. You are urged to save this
manual for the time when you may wish
to order a replacement part. Please
complete the attached warranty card
and mail to us. This will ensure you are
entered in Klopp’s company database
and are eligible for future service and
conversion information.

PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS THOROUGHLY
BEFORE OPERATING YOUR KLOPP SORTER:
Our basic Sorter will separate 25, 10, 5 and 1¢ coins. If you
ordered a Sorter to separate coins from tokens, your Sorter
type is listed on the invoice.
Your KLOPP was 100% inspected at the Factory and has
been operated with all denominations of coins & tokens.
You should receive years of trouble-free service. On the
very remote chance that you should have a problem or
even just a question, please call KLOPP SERVICE at 800-
356-9080.
Assemble your Sorter. These instructions apply only to the
Electric Model SE. Be sure to rmly attach the rigid reserve
coin tray to the Sorter. You will nd mounting screws on
the at surface above the hopper and in the end of the tray
support legs.
4. To operate your KLOPP Sorter, do the following:
Be sure it is level.
Fill the hopper 1/2 full for efcient operation--DO NOT
OVERFILL.
On the Electric Model SE, the motor controls the proper
speed for sorting. On the Manuel Model SM, turn the
crank at an even, comfortable speed. Turning too fast will
cause missorting and possible jams.
Coins or tokens of a size larger than those for which the
Sorter has been designed will remain in the hopper.
If you have a jam, see the attached “CLEARING A BENT
COIN JAM” Instruction Sheet.
5. Maintenance:
Several times a year oil the disc shaft with 2 or 3 drops
of #20 machine oil through the oil opening on the surface
of the disc.
The rotating disc and nger rail should be relatively clean
for efcient operation. Clean as needed with a cloth
dampened with rubbing alcohol. Dry thoroughly before
using the Sorter. Lint may collect on the lower rail on
which the coins roll. Excessive lint can cause a missort.
Clean off the lint with a knife point. Never use any type of
spray coating on the disc or rails.
6. Miscellaneous Information:
An Optional Rigid Coin Tray Assembly is available for the
Manuel Model SM Sorter. Call Klopp for details.
Factory-adjusted Sorters are available to separate a
variety of coins/tokens up thru 1.125” in diameter.
The Model SMW Manuel Sorter will sort WET coins/
tokens--just turn the crank 20% slower.
If you have questions or need service, call KLOPP

KLOPP WILL FIX IT -- Box up your Sorter and send it to the
factory either FED EX or UPS PREPAID. Do not send via the
Post Ofce. Attach a note stating which part is worn or how
the machine is malfunctioning. Don’t forget to clearly show
your return shipping address (no PO Box) and a daytime
phone number. We will repair and return your KLOPP FED
EX- GROUND. Our normal repair schedule is IN DAY 1-
OUT DAY 2 (Monday-Thursday). If you want an estimate
by phone before work is done, you need to state this in your
note. We will make 3 attempts to reach you. After that, your
machine will remain at our factory until we hear from you.
Normally, we repair and return equipment without an estimate
because KLOPP owners normally say “I can’t operate without
my KLOPP.” If you want an estimate, be sure to ask for it.
YOU CAN FIX IT -- Following is a pictorial parts manual.
Note that not all of the parts in your KLOPP are pictured.
We have pictured only the parts which the average KLOPP
owner with basic mechanical aptitude can easily and
properly replace. This is based on years of eld experience.
We have not pictured parts that require special tools,
gauges, or special assembly training to install and adjust. A
KLOPP is not as easy to take apart and put back together
as it appears. Our reputation is based on the fact that we
use the highest quality materials and assemble them very
precisely.
To order parts, simply call or send us a letter. We will be
happy to assist you in ordering the correct parts. Various
nuts, bolts, and screws are not pictured in this Manual
because the need to replace them seldom occurs. They are
readily available and we will be happy to supply them upon
request. Parts are usually shipped within a day or two by
FED EX- GROUND.
If you insist on ordering parts other than those pictured in
the Manual, we will be happy to quote prices. However,
we strongly suggest that attempting to make these more
complex installations yourself may necessitate the ultimate
shipment of your KLOPP to the factory to have these parts
reinstalled properly. Past experience has shown that this
policy is the best way that we can serve you.
BEFORE ORDERING PARTS, YOU NEED TO KNOW:
Model and Serial Number of your KLOPP. Parts for manual
and electric models may look similar but can be slightly
different.
Part number and name/description -- this will avoid ordering
the wrong part.
Street address and zip code for shipping -- FED EX does
not deliver to a PO Box.
Daytime phone number.

KLOPPS are very heavy duty and will almost literally “last
forever”. Our one-year factory warranty on both parts and
labor, when returned to the factory prepaid and undam-
aged, gives you full protection for 12 months from the
date of original purchase.
Eventually, some parts will probably wear. It may take 3
years or 10 years, but someday it will happen. To replace
a worn part you have 2 choices of action.
