correct installation, operation and maintenance are illustrated below, and are to be followed by the installer and user

This manual is an integral and impor-
tant part of the cylinder and is to be
given to the user. Carefully read the
instructions in this manual as they
provide important information concer-
ning safe installation, use and mainte-
nance. Keep this manual for future
reference.
Cylinder installation is to be imple-
mented in accordance with current
regulations, manufacturer instruc-
tions, and by professionally qualified
personnel.
Incorrect installation may cause injury
to people, animals, and damage to
property.
Manufacturer shall not be held liable
for any such injury and/or damage.
The cylinder is designed for domestic
hot water production and storage. It is
to be connected to a water heating
system, domestic hot water distribu-
tion system and water main network,
compatible with cylinder performance
and power specifications.
Cylinder use other than specified is
forbidden and manufacturer shall not
be held liable for injury and/or dama-
ge caused by improper or incorrect
use.
Packaging materials are to be dispo-
sed of as soon as possible and in
accordance to current laws and regu-
lations; they are a potential hazard,
particularly for children.
Cylinder exterior surface is to be clea-
ned by means of a cloth dampened in
products specifically made for the
purpose. Do not use abrasive pro-
ducts or solvent.
In order to validate warranty condi-
tions, cylinder installation is to be
implemented in accordance with cur-
rent regulations, and performed by
professionally qualified personnel.
Optional equipment to be installed to
the cylinder is to be manufacturer
approved.
Disconnect power source before
implementing any repair or service
procedure.
Should the cylinder malfunction, turn
it off and have it serviced by qualified
personnel.
Manufacturer recommends an appro-
ved and qualified Service Centre to
be contacted for servicing.

The cylinder is designed for DHW supply
in both domestic and industrial use.
It can be installed in any CH system.
The cylinder is to be connected to a
domestic cold water network through its
domestic cold water inlet coupling, and
to DHW withdrawal spots through DHW
flow coupling.
When DHW supply is required, domestic
cold water enters the cylinder and it is
heated to thermostat set temperature
(thermostat equipped cylinder only).
Manufacturer recommends keeping
cylinder water temperature to 60/65°C,
this set temperature allows for cylinder
best performance and:
- best hygienic conditions
- max. cost-effective DHW production
- reduced calcium deposit build-up
DHW in cylinder is heated by CH water
flowing through the heat exchanger.

WARNING: Installation is to be per-
formed exclusively by professionally
qualified personnel or else warranty
will be void.
A) Choose a location
It is advisable to install the cylinder
as close as possible to the boiler, in
any case it is important to insulate
the connection pipes.
B) Water connection and prelimi-
nary operations
- verify boiler output to be at least
15% larger than cylinder absorption;
- verify volume and pre-set pressure
of DHW expansion vessel to be sui-
table for system characteristics;
- should water be particularly hard,
install a properly adjusted water sof-
tener upstream from cylinder;
- should water main contain impuri-
ties, install a suitable filter and verify
the pumps to have adequate flow
rate capacity and pressure head;
- verify correct positioning of thermo-
stat and thermometer probes;
- verify operation of thermostatic
controls;
HYDRAULIC CONNECTIONS must
be implemented as shown in pic. 4.

Fill up cylinder with domestic cold
water and bleed air in the system by
opening a tap.
Fill up cylinder heat exchanger with
CH water and bleed air in the
system.
Set DHW temperature on control
panel, following the instructions pro-
vided. DHW temperature is best set
to 60/65°C.
The cylinder is to be started by qua-
lified personnel.
Periodically verify command, control
and adjusting devices operation.
In order to clean external surfaces
of cylinder, use a cloth dampened in
appropriate, readily available on the
market, cleaning products. Do not
use abrasive substances, solvents,
petrol-based products, alcohol, etc.
On a yearly basis, check magne-
sium anode fitted to the flange. The
anode can be inspected directly, by
releasing the flange (see pic.5) or
externally by means of a multi-
meter.
Should water be particularly hard,
the cylinder should receive a cal-
cium deposit removal treatment at
least once a year.
Calcium deposit removal procedure:
empty cylinder by opening the drain
tap, then remove the flange to
access the inside of the cylinder.
Remove any calcium build up by
means of a plastic or wooden spatu-
la and rinse with water.
During implementation of cleaning
procedure, be very careful not to
damage cylinder internal coating.
Upon completion of cleaning proce-
dure, install the flange and its sea-
ling gasket ( should it appear dama-
ged, fit a new one), close the drain
tap and fill up the cylinder, checking
for leaks from flange and drain tap.
