1.0 Int oduction
These a e su face mounted oom
ca bon dioxide (CO2) senso s which
also inco po ate a tempe atu e
senso .
They are designed to sense the room
conditions for residentia or commercia
office bui dings. There are separate
0-10V output signa s for CO2and
temperature readings and are suitab e
as input signa s for fans and contro s
with the faci ity to accept a 0-10V
signa .
CO2RM – CO2& temperature sensor
requires SELV power supp y by others.
CO2RMPP - CO2& temperature sensor
supp ied with SELV ac power supp y.
If the app ication requires direct
compatibi ity with Nuaire Ecosmart
contro system then the contro
ES-CO2RM and ES-CO2RMPP may be
more appropriate. P ease refer to
separate iteratures for detai s.
2.0 Ratings
Sensing ranges: 0-2000ppm CO2and
0-50oC.
Output: 0-10V dc proportiona output,
maximum oad 1mA.
Current consumption: typica y 10mA
p us pu ses of 0.3A for 0.3s (every 15s).
Warm up time: <5 minutes.
CO2RMPP – the mains supp y to power
pack must be 230V 1~ 50Hz.
CO2RM – the SELV power supp y (by
others) must have output of 24V ac
(+/-20%) or 15-35V dc.
P ease note that a proprietary 24V ac
transformer wou d on y produce 24V at
maximum oad. Due to the ow current
absorbed by the sensor; these wou d be
running at very high output vo tage
(typica y >30V ac) and are therefore
not suitab e.
If in doubt – use the CO2RMPP to
ensure compatibi ity.
3.0 Installation
Insta ed environment: 0-50oC and up to
90% RH non-condensing.
The insta ation must be carried out by
competent personne in accordance with
a oca and nationa statutory re4.0
gu ation; i.e. IEE, COHSE, HVCA etc.
The unit must be insta ed indoors, away
from direct source of heat (e.g. radiator,
direct sun ight), any water spray or
steam generating source.
The mounting surface must be free from
vibrations.
Do not insta the sensor in environment
containing high eve of contaminants;
e.g. dust; corrosive gases; commercia
kitchens.
Insta the sensor at approximate y head
height or s ight y high y for best response
rate.
Use a sma screwdriver to push in the
c ip at the bottom of casing to open the
front cover. Remove the top ha f and
store it in a safe p ace.
Use screened cab e to connect the 0-10V
output signa s from the sensor to fan
or other recipient of these signa s and
ensure the screening is grounded at one
end on y (norma y the fan end).
Use the base of unit as a temp ate to
mark the fixing positions. Dri and insert
appropriate fasteners (e.g. Rawp ug)
into the ho es.
Feed the cab e from the SELV side of
power pack through the arge ho e of
the base together with the output cab e
from the sensor.
Wire the cab es into the termina b ock
as per wiring diagram on the reverse
side of this document.

and wiring to ensure it has not been
damaged by the insta ed conditions;
e.g. unforeseen condensation etc.
Remove any accumu ated dust with a
soft brush.
