2. Cleaning the bottom of the pond:
•Place the wand section into the pond/pool and switch on the vacuum.
•With the slide valve fully open minimal amounts of waste will be removed from
the pond/pool bottom, for best results set the slide valve half way. If heavy
deposits are found on the pond/pool bottom, close the slide valve.
•Please note: That when picking up heavy deposits that contain large amounts of
blanket weed and debris, all waste will be collected in the filtration basket fitted
inside the vacuum. The basket will need to be emptied if you are picking up a lot
of waste. 3. Cleaning the sides of the pond:
•To use the vacuum to clean the sides of the pond, connect the curved wand section
onto the hose end cuff.
•Connect the accessory kit to the end of the curved wand section, or if working at a
greater depth add the straight wand sections accordingly.
•Ensure the slide valve is fully open on the wand section, turn on the vacuum and
place into the pond; scrub the pond sides to remove algae and grime.
•4. Emptying the machine:
•When the vacuum is full of contaminated pond water note that the pitch of the
motors will change, and water will no longer be picked up by the vacuum.
•To empty the vacuum, ensure the dump hose assembly is fully uncoiled from the
back of the vacuum.
•Turn on the green pump switch fitted to the handle assembly of the vacuum
cleaner.
•Please note: that the barrel filter fitted to the pump assembly will need to be
removed and cleaned on a regular basis. The filter is found inside the drum
assembly of the vacuum and is coloured white.
•5. Things to remember:
