Disconnect transformer from outlet when not in use.

If cleaner is not working as it should or has been

The power supply should be positioned so that ROBO-KLEE PLUS
can reach all the walls of the swimming pool and must be at a
minimum distance of 10 feet from the edge of the pool.

Installation
Tighten the threaded plug cover so that
the cord cannot be accidentally pulled out.
To connect ROBO-KLEE PLUS to the
transformer, remove the cap on the
transformer output socket. Plug the
ROBO-KLEE PLUS cord into the socket.

Operation
a. Connect the cable to the power supply
b. Grasp the cleaner by a side handle and place ROBO-KLEE PLUS in the
pool.
c. Rock the unit from front to back and side to side, releasing trapped air,
until the unit slowly sinks to the bottom of the pool.
d. Start the unit at a 90˚ angle to a wall . CAUTIO : BE SURE MAI LI E
OUTLET IS PROTECTED BY A GROU D FAULT CIRCUIT I TERRUPTER
(GFCI) OR SERIOUS I JURY COULD OCCUR.
e. Press the top of the On/Off switch through the clear jacket on the power
supply. ROBO-KLEE PLUS will take an initial 10 seconds to scan the
circuit board and reset the memory. After the initialization is complete,
filtered water will be pumped to the top and the unit will start moving.
CAUTIO : Do not operate ROBO-KLEE PLUS out of the water. This may
result in damage to the pump motor seals and invalidate the warranty.
Optimum water temperature for the operation of ROBO
-KLEE PLUS is
65˚ F to 90˚ F.
Cleaning Pattern Adjustment
ROBO-KLEE PLUS features convenient cleaning
pattern adjustment. Simply adjust the knob that
controls the movement of the front wheels. At
the highest setting, the unit turns at a sharper
radius. For round pools, turn the knob to either
of the highest angles for best results. A smaller
angle works best in oval pools. Start the unit off
at the rounded end of oval pools.
This is all you need to do to adjust the cleaning
pattern. TO AVOID CABLE COILI G, REVERSE
THE K OB POSITIO AFTER EACH USE SO THE
PATTER IS REVERSED. During use, allow the
cord to lengthen out by removing coils and
giving the cleaner enough cord to easily reach
the furthest point of the pool. A coiled cord can
impede the movement of the cleaner.

Automatic Shutdown and Removal
ROBO-KLEE PLUS will automatically shut down after a work
cycle of approximately 3 hours. Should a second cleaning cycle
be required, switch off the power supply for at least 30 seconds
before restarting.
ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE REMOVI G
ROBO-KLEE PLUS FROM THE POOL.
Remove ROBO-KLEE PLUS from the water by gently pulling in
the cable. When ROBO-KLEE PLUS reaches the surface, lift it out
by the handle - OT by the cable. To minimize debris falling back
into the pool during removal, pull out of water and place upside
down on ledge.
Carefully reel in and coil the cable. Store ROBO-KLEE PLUS in a
dry shaded place at a temperature between 40˚ F and 90˚ F.

Maintenance
There are only a few simple steps to maintaining your ROBO-KLEE
PLUS.
a. Place ROBO-KLEE PLUS upside
down. Push the locking tabs to
the side to unlock the bottom lid.
Remove the bottom lid.
b. Pull one of the 4 red tabs out and
remove the filter bag from the bottom lid.
Turn the filter bag inside out. Use a garden
hose to wash it thoroughly. The bag should
be laundered periodically, using a regular
wash cycle.
c. Rinse the bottom lid parts and bottom brushes.
d. Refit the filter bag with the fluffy surface
inward. Start from one corner - align one of
the red tabs with the corner. Gently insert the
stitched edge of the filter bag into the double
walls (groove) of the bottom lid, and work your
way around.
e. Replace the bottom lid assembly in the body of
the unit and lock in place.
2) Impeller
Occasionally hair or linen may get caught in the impeller. If that
happens, take the top grill off by removing the 2 screws from the top.
MAKE SURE THE TRA SFORMER IS U PLUGGED. Remove the
debris. Replace the top grill and tighten the 2 screws.
3) Front Drive Wheels and Rear Idler Wheels
Remove debris or tree leaves caught in the axle bearing. CAUTIO : Do
not turn the drive wheels by force. This may cause damage to the
drive gear train.
4) Winterization
Do not store ROBO-KLEE PLUS where the temperature drops below
40˚ F. Freezing temperatures can affect seals and lubricants used in
the mechanism.

This product has been manufactured, tested and inspected by Smartpool, Inc. in accordance
with carefully specified engineering requirements. It is warranted to be free from defects in
materials and workmanship under normal use and service, subject to qualifications, conditions
and limitations described below.
Smart ool, Inc. 3 Year Limited Warranty:
One year full warranty, 3 years on Drive Motor and ump Motor. This warranty applies only
while using this product in the United States and Canada.
This warranty extends to the first consumer/purchaser for a period of 36 months from the
original date of purchase.
This warranty covers only normal and reasonable use. Any damage, defects, malfunctions or
other failures arising from its use without the original transformer or any use which does not
comply with the instructions in this manual, including failure of the purchaser to provide
reasonable and necessary maintenance, will void this warranty.
The warranty obligations of Smart ool, Inc. shall be limited to repair or replacement of the
product or any defective component, at the discretion of Smart ool, Inc. The repair or
replacement may include the use of refurbished components and/or units. Smart ool, Inc. will
not be liable or responsible under any circumstances or in any amount for any consequential or
incidental damages, for any injury or damages to persons or property using or used in connectio
n
with this product, or for loss of profits or other costs or expenses of any kind or character.
This warranty does not include replacements of the drive brushes, filter bag and bottom lid.

than others, caused by objects, such as brushes, floats, toys, chlorine dispensers, and
automatic pool cleaners, coming into contact with the vinyl surface. Such patterns can
be severely scratched or abraded merely by rubbing the surface with a brush. attern
ink can also rub off when it comes into contact with objects in the pool. Smart ool, Inc.
is not responsible for, nor does this limited warranty cover, pattern removal, abrasion,
markings on or damage of any kind to vinyl liners.
