INDICATIONS FOR USE
Air Next is intended to measure
the forced expiratory volume in
1 sec (FEV1) and the forced vital
capacity (FVC) in a forced expiratory
maneuver. These measures can be
used for detection, assessment and

lung function.
Air Next is intended to be used by:
• Healthcare professionals trained
to perform spirometry tests on

GENERAL INFORMATION
Air Next works with iPhone and
Android devices and connects via
bluetooth. Air Next is powered by
2 x 1.5 V AAA alkaline batteries.
Dispose replaced batteries and
discarded device as electronic waste.
Air Next is designed to work with
disposable and single use NuvoAir
disposable turbines. When perform-
ing a spirometry test, the user
exhales into the turbine. The air-


turbine. The disposable turbine is in-

CAUTION: RISK OF

MAINTENANCE
Handle Air Next device carefully.
Store it in clean and moisture free

that the device is free from dust,
contamination or any particles.
Air Next does not require profes-
sional maintenance. If, however,
the outside of the device needs to
be cleaned make sure to only use a
damp cloth without any detergents.
Air Next device uses replaceable bat-
teries. NuvoAir Disposable Turbines
are disposable.

ACCESS TO BLUETOOTH
Enable Bluetooth on your mobile
device in order to pair with the
Air Next. You can enable Bluetooth
in your mobile device settings.
Check your device manual on how
to do this.
BLUETOOTH PROXIMITY
Make sure that the Air Next is within
the Bluetooth proximity of your
phone. If your phone is too far away
from the Air Next, the connecton
could be lost.

Air Next ist für die Messung des forcierten
Ausatmungsvolumen innerhalb von einer Se-

Einmal-Turbinen von NuvoAir vorgesehen.
Bei der Durchführung eines Spirometrietests
atmet der Benutzer in die Turbine aus. Der
Luftstrom versetzt einen Rotor in Bewegung.
Air Next erfasst die Geschwindigkeit des
drehenden Rotors, wandelt sie um und
überträgt die Daten über Bluetooth an die
Smartphone-App.
LIMITATIONS OF USE &
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Ein Spirometrietest darf nur durchgeführt
werden, wenn der Benutzer sich in einem
Ruhezustand (keine Kurzatmigkeit) und guter
gesundheitlicher Verfassung und damit in
einem geeigneten Zustand zur Durchführung

Die Analyse der Ergebnisse eines
Spirometrietests allein reicht nicht aus, um
eine Diagnose eines klinischen Zustands
zu stellen. Die Interpretation des Tests
und die Behandlungsempfehlung müssen
durch einen Gesundheitsexperten erfolgen.
Die korrekte Durchführung eines Spirometrie-
tests hängt von der Fähigkeit des Nutzers
zum vollständigen und schnellstmöglichen
Ein- und Ausatmen der gesamten Luft ab.
Werden diese grundlegenden Bedingungen
nicht erfüllt, sind die bei dem Spirometrietest
erhaltenen Ergebnisse ungenau und daher
„nicht akzeptabel“.
Die Akzeptabilität eines Tests obliegt der
Verantwortung des Nutzers. Besondere
Aufmerksamkeit ist erforderlich, wenntesting

Das Gerät darf nie verwendet werden,
wenn es möglich oder wahrscheinlich
ist, dass die Gültigkeit der Ergebnisse
aufgrund externer Faktoren gefährdet

WICHTIGE SICHERHEITSHINWEISE
Air Next sollte nie mit einem Telefon
verwendet werden, das geladen wird.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Telefon ausges-
teckt ist, bevor Sie einen Spirometrietest
durchführen. Verwenden Sie das Gerät
nicht, wenn ein Wechselstromadapter
angeschlossen ist.
Überprüfen Sie das Gerät nach dem
Auspacken auf sichtbare Beschädigungen.
Sollten Beschädigungen vorhanden sein,
verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht und geben
Sie es beim Händler zurück.
