Introducon
Thank you for choosing the UF1 to be a part of
your high performance music listening system.
Each UF1 is handcraed, using the very latest,
no compromise, cung edge technology and
componentry. This ensures the best possible
sound reproducon currently available and
guarantees many years of listening enjoyment.
We understand that you are eager to begin
listening; however, please take a few minutes to
read through this guide for useful informaon
concerning the operaon of your new amplier.
OAD Ultradelity equipment takes a considerable
me to run in before it performs at its best. The
duraon varies, but under some condions the
sound may connue to improve for over a month.
Beer and more consistent performance will be
achieved if the system is le switched on for long
periods. It is worth remembering however that
equipment le connected to the mains can be
damaged by lightning.
Aer reading this manual, if you have any further
quesons regarding your amplier, contact your
dealer or OAD Ultradelity customer service –
they will be happy to help you to make the most
of your new component.

Warnings
• To prevent re, or shock hazard, do not expose
your UF1 to rain or moisture.
• Do not place objects containing water on top
of this unit.
• This unit contains voltages which can cause
serious injury or death.
• Do not operate with covers removed.
• A power cord is shipped with your UF1 that
meets the required safety standards. It is
important for both safety and performance
that the standard cable supplied is not
modied.
• A switch at the front of the UF1 must be
accessible in case of emergency power
disconnect. For connued protecon against
re hazard, replace the fuse only with the
same type and rang (see page 3 for fuse
informaon).
• Your hi- system, including the UF1, can be
damaged by lightning and should be turned
o and disconnected from the mains when
there is risk of lightning strike.
• OAD recommends that all connecons to the
UF1 are made with either the mains power
cord disconnected or the front mains switch
le in the OFF posion.
• Refer servicing to your authorized OAD
Ultradelity dealer or service personnel.
Venlaon
Due to its highly powerful power supply the
UF1 will run warm to hot when in use. You must
allow for this in installaon, by providing for
free air circulaon around the product. Never
block any venlaon openings. Allow at least 60
mm of clearance around this product for proper
venlaon. Electronics should not be subjected to
sources of excessive radiant heat. Excessive heat
can shorten the life of the product.
Packaging
Save all packaging in a dry place away from
re hazard. Your CP1 is a precision electronic
instrument and should be properly boxed any me
shipment is made. It is very unlikely that you will
have to return your unit to the factory for service,
but if that should prove necessary, the original
packaging will protect your CP1 from unnecessary
damage or delay.
Interconnect Cables
RCA/XLR Interconnect plugs should be kept clean
and free from corrosion.
The UF1 is ed with silver plated oxygen free
copper RCA input sockets & Binding Posts that
will tarnish in me. Tarnished or oxidised silver
does not degrade the quality of contact. This is a
disncve property of silver plang. If you wish to
clean the connectors, switch o the equipment,
pull the plugs out of their sockets, and push them
back in again. Contact cleaners and “enhancers”
should not be used as the lm they deposit may
leave a deposit and degrade the sound.

1 AC MAINS INPUT
• The UF1 comes supplied with a detachable mains power cord. Connect corresponding end of the mains
power cord to the AC mains input of UF1 and the plug connected to a mains power source.
• Always disconnect the mains power plug from the mains power source rst, before disconnecng the
cable from the UF1’s AC mains input socket.
2 AUDIO IN
• The UF1 is ed with BALANCED and SINGLE-ENDED inputs.
• Single-ended inputs should be used with a preamplier (or electronic crossover, etc.) that has
single-ended outputs which do not invert overall phase or polarity. Disconnect any balanced cables.
• Balanced inputs can be used with a preamplier (or electronic crossover, etc.) that has balanced outputs.
Disconnect any single-ended cables.
3 SPEAKER OUTPUT
• The SPEAKER OUTPUT is the main output port that connects the UF1 to your loudspeakers. Use the best
available speaker wires. As your system improves in resoluon from the addion of quality components, it
becomes increasingly important to avoid the limitaons of inferior system interconnecons. It is important
sonically that your enre system be connected so that the audio signal arriving at the speakers has correct
absolute polarity or phase (i.e. is not inverted). Connect the black or (-) speaker terminal to the wire that
connects to the appropriate-channel (-) binding post on the amplier. Connect the red or (+) speaker
terminal to the wire that connects to the appropriate-channel (+) binding post on the UF1. Tighten the
binding posts rmly to ensure good contact for opmum sonic results.
4 FUSE HOLDER
• Your UF1 is already ed with a fuse. For protecon against re hazard, replace fuse with same type and
rang only. Installing an incorrect fuse may cause damage, thus voiding the warranty of your UF1.

Power Switch
Power Switch
The power buon denes the operang condion ON or OFF (blue ring LED). In operang condion OFF,
the loudspeaker terminals are muted.

In-built Protecon Funcons
In-built Protecon ensures safe operaon and a long lifeme. The UF1 Power Amplier has the following
protecon funcons:
Fuse
The mains connecon has a fuse which protects your UF1 against too high power consumpon. Please
replace with the same fuse type. The fuse is located within the mains switch on the rear side of the UF1.
Model 220 - 240 V, 50-60Hz 5A/250V an surge (T) M205
Model 100 - 120 V, 50-60Hz 7.5A/250V an surge (T) M205
Level Limitaon
If input signal levels become too high, then the so clip circuit will acvate. The acvated so clip circuit
may distort the output signal signicantly, thereby causing a reducon in sonic performance. Please ensure
that the input levels are within the limit of 2.6 Vrms for both single-ended and balanced connecons.
Over-Current
If the output current to the loudspeakers ever exceeds 15 amps, the speakers will electrically disconnect
from the UF1 automacally.
Over-Temperature
The temperature of the power transistors is permanently monitored. If the maximal operang temperature
is exceeded, despite the more than adequate cooling system, the power amp will automacally disconnect
from the speakers.

Warranty
OAD Ultradelity products are covered by a 3-Year Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty iniates from
the date of purchase, and is limited to the original purchaser. Outside Australia, the authorized imporng
retailer or distributor has accepted the responsibility for warranty of OAD Ultradelity products sold by
them. The specic terms and remedies for fullment of the Limited Warranty may vary from country to
country. Warranty service should normally be obtained from the imporng retailer or distributor from whom
the product was purchased. In the unlikely event that technical service beyond the ability of the importer
is required, OAD Ultradelity will full the terms and condions of the Limited Warranty. Such product
must be returned at the purchaser’s expense to the OAD Ultradelity factory, along with a photocopy
of the dated purchase receipt for the product, a wrien descripon of the problem(s) encountered, and
any informaon necessary for return shipment. The cost of return shipment is the responsibility of the
purchaser.
