1 Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing your OCEAN MATRIX® OMX-VGDA1x4
1:4 VGA/UXGA Distributor.
The OMX-VGDA1x4 is ideal for:
 Any professional system requiring high quality computer graphics (up to
at least UXGA) distribution to multiple monitors/projectors
 Expanding and creating larger systems

We recommend that you:
 Unpack the equipment carefully and save the original box and packaging
materials for possible future shipment
 Review the contents of this instruction manual
3 Overview
The OMX-VGDA1x4 1:4 VGA/UXGA Distributor is a high performance
computer graphics video amplifier for computer graphics video signals with
resolutions ranging up to at least UXGA, and is HDTV compatible. It accepts
one input, provides correct buffering and isolation, and distributes the signal
to four identical outputs.
The OMX-VGDA1x4 features:
 A video bandwidth of 400MHz that ensures transparent operation at all
graphics resolutions
 ID Bit control underside switches
 A front panel trimmer for UXGA equalization
To achieve the best performance:
 Connect only good quality connection cables, thus avoiding interference,
deterioration in signal quality due to poor matching, and elevated noise-
levels (often associated with low quality cables)
 Avoid interference from neighboring electrical appliances and position
your OMX-VGDA1x4 away from moisture, excessive sunlight and dust

To connect the OMX-VGDA1x4 1:4 VGA/UXGA Distributor, as the
example in Figure 3 illustrates:
1. Connect a computer graphics source (for example, a computer) to the INPUT
HD15F connector.
2. Connect the OUTPUT HD15F connectors to up to

four acceptors (for
example, display 1 to display 4).
3. Connect the power cord

(not shown in this illustration).
4. Adjust

the EQ. cable compensation equalization level, if required.
5. Set the ID BIT Control switches 4 and 11 on the underside to ON (by sliding
them to the left). This would enable a notebook or laptop (if connected instead
of a computer) to output an UXGA signal to an external VGA monitor.
