INSTALLATION
1a. On APA (ARIA Protection Adaptor)
Install APA as shown in its instructions and
read the warnings.

If the SGE mask has more lter connections, choose
the most confortable and remove the plug from it.

Screw the RD40-22mm adaptor on the APA or on the SGE lter connection.
Avvitare l’adattatore RD40-22mm su APA o sull’attacco della maschera SGE.

1b. On SGE Mask (150, 400/3, 400/3 BB)
Insert an HEPA lter (conical connector 22mm - ISO 5356-1) into the female connection.
Be careful to insert correctly the lter (double circle) on the adaptor.
Inserire un ltro HEPA (connessione conica 22mm - ISO5356-1) nell’adattatore.
Fare attenzione ad inserire il ltro nella giusta direzione, ovvero con la doppia concentricità
sull’adattatore.

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
• Remove any lter connected to the adaptor prior to sterilization.
• NEVER use any solvent, cleaner or abrasive product to clean the Mask, the APA Adaptor or the RD40 Adaptor.
• Clean each product (Mask, APA, RD40) by either:
TREATMENT IN DILUTED ETHANOL
1. Place the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors in a commercial solution of ethanol (dilution: 3-5% vol/vol) for 5-10 minutes.
2. Possibly, each mask and adaptors protection system should not overlap or cover the other ones.
3. After the sanication, remove carefully the maskand the APA and RD40 adaptors from the solution, rinse deeply under fresh water just to
remove all the alcohol residuals and allow the perfect drying in a safe and not contaminated environment.
TREATMENT IN DILUTED NaClO
1. Place the maskand the APA and RD40 adaptors in a commercial solution of NaClO-sodium ipochlorite (dilution: max 2.5-3% vol/vol) for
5-10 minutes.
2. Possibly, each mask and adaptors protection system should not overlap or cover the other ones.
3. After the sanication, remove carefully the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors from the solution, rinse deeply under fresh water just
to remove all the ipocholrite residuals and allow the perfect drying in a safe and not contaminated environment.
TREATMENT WITH SANITISING WIPES
1. Clean the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors with commercial alcohol based, benzalkonium chloride or ipochlorite based wipes,
allowing also a prolonged contact with the different components of the mask.
2. After the sanication, remove carefully the wipes, disposing them properly, and allow the perfect drying in a safe and not contaminated
environment.
TREATMENT IN BOILING WATER
1. Place the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors in boiling water for 5-10 minutes.
2. Possibly, each mask and adaptors protection system should not overlap or cover the other ones.
3. After the sanication, remove carefully the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptorsfrom hot water, allowing the perfect drying in a safe and
not contaminated environment.
TREATMENT IN DISHWASHER
1. Place the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors in a dishwasher for one (1) hour at 70°C using dishwasher soap. The dishwasher should be
sterilized prior to use. They should be the only objects in the dishwasher.
2. After the sanication, remove the mask and the APA and RD40 adaptors from the machine, allowing the perfect drying in a safe and not
contaminated environment.
PULIZIA & MANUTENZIONE
• Rimuovere qualsiasi ltro connesso agli adattatori prima della sanicazione.
• MAI usare solventi, detergenti o prodotti abrasivi per pulire maschera, adattatore APA e connettore RD40.
• Trattare ogni prodotto (maschera, adattatore APA e connettore RD40) con una delle seguenti modalità:
TRATTAMENTO IN ETANOLO DILUITO
1. Immergere la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 in una soluzione di etanolo in normale commercio (concentrazione: 3-5%
vol/vol) per 5-10 minuti evitando che i pezzi si sovrappongano.
2. Dopo la sanicazione, rimuovere con attenzione la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 dalla soluzione, risciacquando
abbondantemente sotto acqua corrente per rimuovere i residui di alcol. Assicurare una perfetta asciugatura in ambiente sicuro e non
contaminato.
TRATTAMENTO IN NaClO DILUITO
1. Immergere la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 in una soluzione di NaClO-ipoclorito di sodio in normale commercio (con-
centrazione: max 2.5-3% vol/vol) per 5-10 minuti evitando che i pezzi si sovrappongano.
2. Dopo la sanicazione, rimuovere con attenzione la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 dalla soluzione, risciacquando
abbondantemente sotto acqua corrente per rimuovere i residui di alcol. Assicurare una perfetta asciugatura in ambiente sicuro e non
contaminato.
TRATTAMENTO CON SALVIETTE IGIENIZZANTI
1. Pulire la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 con salviette igienizzanti a base di alcol, cloruro di benzalconio o ipoclorito di
sodio reperibili in commercio.
2. Dopo la sanicazione, rimuovere le salviette (smaltendole in modo controllato) e assicurare una perfetta asciugatura in ambiente sicuro
e non contaminato.
TRATTAMENTO IN ACQUA BOLLENTE
1. Immergere la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 in acqua bollente per 5-10 minuti evitando che i pezzi si sovrappongano.
2. Dopo la sanicazione, rimuovere con attenzione la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 dall’acqua calda. Assicurare una
perfetta asciugatura in ambiente sicuro e non contaminato.
TRATTAMENTO IN LAVASTOVIGLIE
1. Mettere la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 in lavastoviglie per 60 minuti a 70°C usando del comune detersivo per lava-
stoviglie. Sanicare la lavastoviglie prima di procedere. Non devono essere presenti altri oggetti durante il ciclo di lavaggio.
2. Dopo la sanicazione, rimuovere la maschera, l’adattatore APA e il connettore RD40 dalla lavastoviglie e assicurare una perfetta asciuga-
tura in ambiente sicuro e non contaminato.
1b. On SGE Mask (150, 400/3, 400/3 BB)

INSTRUCTIONS
Understand and follow all warnings and instructions.
1. Prior to use the adaptors, verify that the snorkeling mask properly works and that all parts are present, undamaged, and correctly installed.
NO modications, alterations or damages must be present on the snorkeling mask. If the mask would show one of the problems listed above, DO
NOT proceed with installation of the adaptors since the mask does not work properly.
2. After checking the mask correctly works, before to install the adaptors, clean the mask following the methods reported in the “Cleaning &
Maintenance” section of this manual.
3. The mask and the adaptors CANNNOT be used for snorkeling in water. To use the mask in the water, remove the adaptor and put on the snorkel
and the front cover in case in would be removed.
4. Never use the mask and the adaptors in an environment poor of oxygen (less than 17% of oxygen present).
5. NEVER use the mask as personal protection equipment without the APA and the lter (EN148-1 connection) properly installed, or without the RD40
adaptor with the HEPA lter (conical connector 22mm - ISO 5356-1) properly installed as well. Failure to properly use, store and maintain the
mask and the adaptors may result in serious physical injury, illness or death. Mestel Safety does not assume any responsibility about the lters
used by customers and about an uncorrect use of the parts.
6. The best way to use the adaptors is put on the mask without any disruption between the face and the seal. Always check the mask ts perfectly
before use being in a safe and controlled environment. Wear the mask with the adaptor in the right position over the face and make sure there is
no hair in the mask seal areas. The strap must be centered at the top back of the head. Adjust the strap tightening until a secure t and a perfect
seal is reached. Facial hair may prevent a perfect sealing.
7. One size will not t all faces. For a perfect seal choose your ideal size.
8. Always check that your equipment works properly before the use: try to breath before adjusting the straps.
9. NEVER change, deform or replace any part of the product.
10. To prevent serious injury DO NOT deform or add extensions to the original shape of the adaptors. DO NOT change or remove the valve and the seal
between the APA adaptor and the lter connection. DO NOT change or remove the two valves on the orinasal and the one under the cover over the
frontal side of the transparent visor (chin of the mask).
11. Never allow open ames or hot air blasts to come into direct contact with the product.
12. In case of discomfort and/or long-time use, if user’s breathing becomes uncomfortable, remove the mask with the adaptor in a safe and controlled
environment. If at any time the user feels uncomfortable or dizzy, if breathing becomes difcult; if the smell of contaminants enters the mask;
if airow becomes restrictive or completely stops; if the mask becomes foggy or blurry; and/or the user’s face, eyes, nose or mouth become(s)
irritated, the user must immediately leave the contaminated area and return to a safe location where contamination levels are low and the user
can safely remove the mask.
13. The APA adaptor is NOT compatible with any other mask which is not mentioned in this leaet.
14. The RD40 adaptor is NOT compatible with any breathing system lter other than with an HEPA lter (conical connector 22 mm - ISO5356-1).
15. Avoid touching the mask and the adaptors if it has not been sanitized to decrease the risk of contact transmission. Pathogens on the surfaces
can potentially be transferred by touch to the user’s hand, and thus risk infection through subsequent touching of the mucous membranes or
the face. Additionally, all parts may be contaminated by other pathogens that are acquired from people that have prolonged environmental
survival. These pathogens could then contaminate the hands of the user, and in turn be transmitted to yourself or to others via direct or
indirect contact transmission.
16. Store the mask with the adaptors in a controlled environment where access to these parts is reduced to prevent damage or contamination
of any component. The mask and the adaptors should not be stored in environments where there are potentially dangerous chemicals that
may corrode, pollute or permeate them.
ISTRUZIONI
Leggere attentamente e seguire istruzioni ed avvertimenti.
1. Prima di utilizzare l’adattatore, vericare che la maschera da snorkeling sia funzionante e che tutte le sue parti siano presenti, integre e
correttamente installate. Vericare che la maschera non abbia subito modiche, manomissioni e/o danneggiamenti. Qualora si vericasse una
delle condizioni sopra citate non procedere con l’inserimento dell’adattatore sulla maschera, perché essa NON è UTILIZZABILE.
2. Una volta vericato che la maschera sia funzionante e integra, prima di montare l’adattatore eseguire un lavaggio della maschera come riportato
nella procedura “Pulizia & Manutenzione”.
3. L’adattatore, una volta montato sulla maschera, la rende inutilizzabile per lo snorkeling in acqua. Per rendere la maschera riutilizzabile in
mare, rimuoverlo e rimontare lo snorkel e la copertura anteriore in caso sia stata rimossa.
4. MAI utilizzare la maschera con l’adattatore in un ambiente in cui sia presente una quantità di ossigeno inferiore al 17%, ovvero in carenza
di ossigeno.
5. MAI utilizzare la maschera come sistema di protezione senza aver innestato correttamente l’adattatore APA con un ltro (con connessione EN148-1)
o senza il connettore RD40 con un ltro HEPA (connessione conica 22mm - ISO5356-1). Utilizzare, conservare e manutenere in modo scorretto
la maschera da snorkeling e gli adattatori può comportare gravi lesioni, malattie e pericolo di morte. Mestel Safety non si assume alcuna
responsabilità in merito ai ltri utilizzati da parte del consumatore e ad un uso non corretto di tutti i componenti.
6. La funzione dell’adattatore è massima quando non ci sono zone d’interruzione di tenuta tra la faccia e la guarnizione. Prima di utilizzare il prodotto
assicurarsi di avere una perfetta tenuta, posizionandosi in un ambiente sicuro e controllato. Calzare la maschera con l’adattatore in posizione
corretta sul volto e assicurarsi che la guarnizione sia libera da capelli. I cinghioli della maschera devono essere centrati sulla nuca. Tirare i cinghioli
no a raggiungere una tenuta perfetta e confortevole. La barba potrebbe inuire sulla tenuta della guarnizione facciale.
7. Poiché una taglia di maschera non calzerà perfettamente tutti i volti, scegliere quella più adatta a garantire la massima tenuta quando l’adattatore
è montato.
8. Assicurarsi sempre che il sistema maschera con l’adattatore funzioni correttamente prima dell’utilizzo, facendo una prova di respirazione prima
di ssare i cinghioli.
9. Non modicare, sostituire o alterare per nessun motivo le parti del prodotto.
10. Per prevenire incidenti o danni gravi, NON deformare o aggiungere estensioni all’originale forma dell’adattatore. NON modicare né rimuovere la
valvola e la guarnizione presenti nella zona di raccordo dell’adattatore con il ltro. NON modicare né rimuovere le valvole sull’oronasale e nella
cover sul mento della maschera.
11. Mai avvicinare il prodotto a una amma libera o a un forte getto di aria calda.
12. In caso di fastidio e/o uso prolungato, qualora si vericasse uno stato di non comfort nella respirazione per l’utilizzatore, rimuovere la maschera
con l’dattatore in un ambiente sicuro e controllato. Se l’utilizzo diventasse poco confortevole o fastidioso; se la respirazione diventasse difcoltosa;
se si percepisse odore di agenti contaminanti nella maschera; se il usso d’aria fosse ostruito o del tutto interrotto; se la maschera si appannasse;
se viso, occhi, naso o bocca dell’utilizzatore subissero irritazioni, l’utilizzatore dovrà immediatamente abbandonare l’area potenzialmente
contaminata e tornare in un luogo sicuro e con una bassa possibilità di contaminazione per rimuovere la maschera.
13. L’adattatore APA NON è compatibile con altre maschere da snorkeling al di fuori di quelle riportate nelle presenti istruzioni.
14. Il connettore RD40 non è compatibile con ltri diversi dai ltri HEPA (connessione conica 22mm - ISO5356-1).
15. Evitare di toccare la maschera e gli adattatori non sanicati per ridurre il rischio di trasmissione da contatto. Gli agenti patogeni sulle superci
possono potenzialmente essere trasferiti tramite contatto e, quindi, aumentare il rischio di infezione a causa di un conseguente contatto delle
mucose del volto. La maschera, APA e RD40 potrebbero essere contaminati da altri patogeni che hanno una resistenza ambientale prolungata
e portati nell’ambiente da altre persone. Questi patogeni possono contaminare le mani dell’utente che a sua volta potrebbe contaminare se
stesso o gli altri tramite contatto diretto o indiretto.
16. Conservare il sistema maschera e gli adattatori in un ambiente controllato in cui l’accesso a queste componenti sia limitato per prevenire
danni o contaminazione. Si consiglia di non conservare maschera e gli adattatori in ambienti dove agenti chimici possano potenzialmente
corrodere, contaminare o impregnare questi ultimi.
