Close supervision is necessary
when this appliance is used by,
on, or near children or individuals
with certain disabilities. Never use this
appliance while drowsy or sleeping.
WARNING: ELECTRICITY- BURN HAZARD
Keep appliance out of reach of young
children, particularly during use and cool
down. When the appliance is connected to
the power supply, never leave it unattended.
Always place the appliance with the stand, if
any, on a heat-resistant, stable surface.
As with most electrical appliances, electrical
parts are electrically live even when the switch
is OFF. To reduce the risk of electrocution:
1. Only use with 100-240VAC, 50/60Hz
power supply.
2. The appliance should never be left
unattended when plugged in.
3. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged power cord or plug, or if it is
not working properly.
4. If the power cord or plug is damaged,
contact Olivia Garden or an authorized
distributor in order to avoid a hazard.
5. Keep the power cord away from heated
surfaces. Do not wrap the power cord
around the appliance.
6. Always unplug the flat iron immediately
after using.
7. Do not use an extension power cord with
this appliance.
8. Do not use a voltage inverter or
generator with this appliance.
9. Your Olivia Garden product is a
class II electrical appliance and should
not be connected to an earth connection.

WARNING: KEEP AWAY FROM WATER
Any appliance is electrically live even
when the switch is OFF. To reduce the
risk of death or injury by electrical shock:
1. Do not use your flat iron while bathing,
showering, or in any other application
where it could come into contact with
water or other liquid.
2. Do not place or store your flat iron where
it can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
3. Do not place in or drop into water
or other liquid.
4. Do not spray or apply wet styling aids
directly onto your flat iron.
5. If your flat iron falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do NOT reach into water.
6. Always unplug your flat iron immediately
after using.
WARNING: HOT SURFACES
This iron gets extremely hot. Please use caution
when handling. To reduce the risk of burns, fire
or injury to persons:
1. This appliance should never be left
unattended when plugged in.
2. Use this appliance only for its intended
use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by
manufacturer.
3. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
4. Never place objects on the iron plates.
The plates get extremely hot and objects
may melt or damage the plates.
5. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol products are being used or where
oxygen is being administered.
6. This unit is hot when in use. Do not let eyes
or skin touch heated surfaces.
7. Do not place the heated unit directly on
any surface (unless it is high heat resistant)
while it is hot or still plugged in.
Operating Instructions
This appliance is for salon or household use,
and may be plugged into your AC electrical
outlet (100-240VAC 50/60Hz). If you are
traveling, use the appropriate adapter to plug
in your electricity outlet. Your flat iron will then
automatically adjust itself to the adequate
voltage and function normally.
Getting Started
IMPORTANT
• Keep heated surfaces away from contact
with all skin areas and eyes. Do not touch
straightening plates with your fingertips.
• For shorter hair, place a thin plastic
comb between scalp and iron to avoid
touching scalp.
• Test small section of hair before styling
whole head.
PREHEATING
1. Place the iron on a smooth and flat
surface, ideally on your heat resistant
mat, and then plug into the outlet.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch once to turn
the flat iron ON.
3. The LED Digital number will light up.
4. Press the ‘+’ or ‘-’ buttons to adjust to
desired temperature.
5. Allow 1 minute (or less) for flat iron to
reach selected temperature (heat-up time
depends on chosen temperature).
6. To switch the temperature reading from
°F to °C (or vice versa), press and hold
the ‘+’ and ‘-’ buttons simultaneously until
the desired temperature scale is visible.
7. Press the ON/OFF switch for 3 seconds
to turn your flat iron OFF.
STYLING
1. When using the flat iron for styling,
please use caution.
2. Work with hair sections that are no more
than 38mm wide and 6mm thick.
3. Place hair between hot plates and press
down firmly.
4. Pull through hair, maintaining a constant
tension.
5. Release pressure from handle and allow
hair to slip out. CAUTION: Hair will be
hot. Let hair cool before touching.
6. Repeat until desired result is achieved.
7. Unplug the iron.
8. Keep iron off skin and surfaces until it
has cooled to avoid burning.

ERROR MESSAGE “ERR”
If the digital screen shows an “ERR” message,
it means that the flat iron switched to standby
mode for safety protection. Please follow the
following steps:
1. Turn flat iron OFF and unplug it from
outlet.
2. Wait about 2 minutes leaving the flat iron
unplugged. Then plug in your flat iron
into outlet and turn it ON.
3. If the “ERR” message has disappeared,
you can resume using your flat iron.
4. If the “ERR” message is still visible,
discontinue use of the flat iron and
contact Olivia Garden or your local
authorized distributor.
5. Refer to the warranty section of this book
for more details.
Note: An “ERR” message can be a sign that
the flat iron is not functioning properly or that
it is not reaching the temperature as expected,
and that the iron switched to a standby mode
for safety protection.
Care & Maintenance
To ensure optimum performance of your
Olivia Garden flat iron, the plates should
be cleaned regularly.
• Before cleaning, ensure that the flat iron
is switched OFF, has cooled down and is
unplugged from the power supply.
• Use a soft cloth slightly moistened with
water to clean the plates. Do not apply
water or cleaning agents directly onto
the plates.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or
abrasive surfaces that may scratch and
damage the plates.
• To clean the external surface of the
housing, use a soft cloth slightly
moistened with water. Do not spray or
apply liquids or cleaning agent directly
on the body of the flat iron.
Warranty
This Olivia Garden flat iron carries a limited
warranty against defects in material or
workmanship for 24 months.
This limited warranty DOES NOT COVER:
• Normal wear and tear such as shorts in
the power supply cord or plug.
• Damage due to external factors, misuse
or abuse such as but not limited to:
dropping, foreign objects being placed
on the plates, wrong voltage supply,
neglect in safety precautions
• Tampering such as repair or attempted
repair by an unauthorized party
• Damage resulting from use of
unauthorized attachments

Contact your local distributor for warranty
terms and service. Flat iron must be purchased
from an authorized Olivia Garden reseller.

Recycling & Disposal
Your Olivia Garden flat iron is an product
classified as an ‘electrical or electronic
equipment’ and must not be disposed of with
other household or commercial waste at the
end of its working life. When you have no
further use for your Olivia Garden product,
please dispose of it according to your local
authority’s recycling procedure. For more
