General Information
Omcan Manufacturing and Distributing Company Inc. and Food Machinery of America, Inc. dba Omcan
are not responsible for any harm or injury caused due to any person’s improper or negligent use of
this equipment. The product shall only be operated by someone over the age of 18, of sound mind, and
not under the inuence of any drugs or alcohol, who has been trained in the correct operation of this
machine, and is wearing authorized, proper safety clothing. Any modication to the machine voids any
warranty, and may cause harm to individuals using the machine or in the vicinity of the machine while
in operation.
CHECK PACKAGE UPON ARRIVAL
Upon receipt of an Omcan shipment please inspect for external damage. If no damage is evident on the
external packaging, open carton to ensure all ordered items are within the box, and there is no concealed
damage to the machine. If the package has suffered rough handling, bumps or damage (visible or concealed),
please note it on the bill of lading before accepting the delivery and contact Omcan within 24 hours, so we may
initiate a claim with the carrier. A detailed report on the extent of the damage caused to the machine must be
lled out within three days, from the delivery date shown in the shipping documents. Omcan has no recourse
for damaged products that were shipped collect or third party.
Safety and Warranty
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precaution should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instruction carefully.
2. Before using the unit, check if the voltage indicated in this unit corresponds with the convenience outlet
(110Va.c.).
3. Do not use any appliance with a damaged cord or plug. If the cord is damaged it should be replaced with
the same type and size or bring the unit to the nearest authorized service center.
4. In case of malfunctions, please bring the Rice Cooker to nearest Customer Service Center.
5. The power cord must be closely plugged into the outlet. Do not plug into multi-sockets with other
appliances.
6. The appliance is not intended for use by person (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliances by the person responsible for their safety.
7. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliances.
8. Keep curtains, furniture, ammable materials, etc. away from the Rice Cooker.
9. Do not place on or near gas stove or electric stove.
10. Use the rice cooker only with the supplied inner pot. Do not use the inner pot for other purpose.
11. Do not use the Inner pot on direct re.
12. The steam vent is very hot while cooking; keep face and hands away from the steam vent.
13. Do not allow cord to touch hot surface of the Rice Cooker.
14. Do not loop the cord around the Rice Cooker after use.

The packaging components are classied as normal solid urban waste and can therefore be disposed of
without difculty.
In any case, for suitable recycling, we suggest disposing of the products separately (differentiated
waste) according to the current norms.

HOW TO USE
1. Put the rice into the inner pot, measure the desired amount of rice using the measuring cup supplied with
the unit.
2. Wash the rice several times until the water in the bowl is relatively clear.
3. Measure water on rice for cooking.
● One cup of rice measure.
● Use waterline inside the pot as cooking guide. The right line corresponds to liters of water, and the left
line corresponds to cups of rice.
● Never add water higher than the maximum waterline.
4. Wipe the bottom part of the inner pot, put the inner pot inside the unit, and turn it slightly from left to right to
ensure that the pot is properly tted into the heater plate, level the rice.
● Do not heat the inner pot on top of the gas stove or electric stove, it will cause the pot to be deformed by
the high temperature.
● Never use a different inner pot than the type supplied.
5. Close the Lid until it locks.
6. When ready to cook. Plug the unit into the convenience outlet (110Va.c.).
7. Press down the switch knob. The “cook” light will turn ON and rice will start to cook.
● If the switch knob failed to push down, the “warm” light will turn ON, the rice will not be cooked.
8. When cooking is nished the switch knob will pop-up and a click sound will be heard, and the light will turn
to “warm” position.
● After the cooking cycle ends, keep the cover closed for about 15 minutes. The rice will be ufer.
The inner pot of this Rice Cooker has a non-stick coating to avoid scratches. Use only the spatula supplied
with this unit.
TIPS TO KEEP COOKED RICE WARM AND TASTY
1. Rice Bran may give an unpleasant odor to cooked rice. To prevent this, thoroughly wash rice prior to
cooking.
2. To prevent dry, discolored and unpleasant effect of the cooked rice, keep lid tightly closed.
3. Do not leave the rice spatula or anything inside the inner pot during keep warm cycle.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
2. Allow the unit to cool before cleaning. Never clean when the rice cooker is still hot.
3. Dew collector, inner lid, spatula, and inner pot are washable with soap and water.
4. Wipe the body with damp cloth.
5. Do not immerse the unit in water or in any other liquid.
6. Always keep the bottom part of the inner pot and the heater plate clean.
7. The inner pot of this unit is coated to avoid scratches. Do not use abrasive materials and use only the
supplied spatula.
