Installing the Batteries
Your ONE FOR ALL 5 needs 2 new “AA/LR6” lk line b tteries.
1Remove the b ttery cover from the b ck of your ONE FOR ALL 5.
2M tch the b tteries to the + nd - m rks inside the b ttery c se,
then insert the b tteries.
3Press the b ttery cover b ck into pl ce.

2 Power (LED)
The POWER key oper tes the s me function it did on
the origin l remote control. The red LED (Light
Emitting Diode) underne th the POWER key will light
up every time key is pressed.
3 Number Keys (input select in AMP mode)
The Number keys (0-9, / -/--) provide functions just like
your origin l remote. If your origin l remote h s n
20 key, this function c n be found under the AV key.
In AMP mode, these keys m y (if v il ble on your
origin l remote) provide n IMPUT function. If your
origin l remote fe tures “function select“ or “input
select“ function you m y find this under the AV key.
4 AV Key
In TV mode you will obt in the AV / Input function. In
VCR mode you will obt in the “TV/VCR” function, if
v il ble on your origin l remote. In DVD mode you
will obt in the “TV/DVD” function, if v il ble on
your origin l remote. In DVD mode you will obt in
the “TV/SAT” or “TV/DTV” function, if v il ble on
your origin l remote.
5 red, green, yellow, blue
After pressing the TV key nd ccessing the text
mode, the keys m rked red, green, yellow nd blue,
llow you to ccess the F stext functions of your
television. If on your origin l remote control these
keys re used for Menu n vig tion, the ONE FOR ALL
F stext keys m y oper te in the s me w y.
6 uide
In TV, DVD nd/or SAT mode you will obt in the
“Guide” function (if v il ble on your origin l
remote).
7 M (MA IC) Key
The M (MAGIC) key is used to set up your ONE FOR
ALL 5.
8 Menu Key
The MENU key controls the s me function s it did on
your origin l remote.

9 Directional Keys
If v il ble on your origin l remote, these keys will
llow you to n vig te through the menu mode of
your device.
10 OK
The OK key will confirm your choice in menu
oper tion.
11 Volume +/- Keys
These keys oper te in the s me w y s the keys on
your origin l remote. In TV mode you m y obt in
Colour + / - when you press nd rele se the M
(MAGIC) key nd then press Volume + / - .
12 Channel +/- Keys
These keys oper te in the s me w y s the keys on
your origin l remote. In TV mode you m y obt in
Brightness + / - when you press nd rele se the M
(MAGIC) key nd then press Ch nnel + / -
13 Transport Keys (VCR / DVD)
These keys oper te the tr nsport functions (PLAY, FF,
REW etc.) of your device. To prevent ccident l
recording, the RECORD key mustbe pressed twice to
st rt recording.
14 Teletext Keys
After pressing the TV key, the tr nsport keys (REW, PLAY, PAUSE, FF)
re used to oper te the m in Teletext functions. The symbols below
the keys re for Teletext. The text keys re used to ccess the Teletext
functions of your television. Of course, your television must h ve
Teletext c p bility.
TEXT ON: Puts the television in the Teletext mode.
EXPAND: Shows the top h lf of the Teletext p ge in l rger letters.
By pressing g in, you c n see the bottom h lf of the Teletext
p ge enl rged. To return to regul r Teletext viewing, press the
EXPAND key g in, or press the TEXT ON key, depending on your
television.
TEXT OFF: Switches the television b ck to regul r viewing mode.
On some televisions, this m y be done by pressing the TEXT ON
key sever l times.
HOLD/STOP: Stops ch nging p ges.
MIX: Shows teletext nd regul r television simult neously. You
m y lso use this key for subtitling. On some televisions this
function is ccessed by pressing the text key twice.
16:9: This key provides you the (16:9) wide screen view function,
if v il ble on your origin l remote).
Important note:
For a more detailed expla atio of Teletext a d Fastext, please
refer to the ma ual of your televisio . Remember, differe t televisio s
co trol Teletext a d Fastext features i differe t ways. Not all of the
Teletext fu ctio s may be available for your particular model.

Direct code set up
Example: To set up the ONE FOR ALL 5 for your television:
1Find the code for your device in the Code list (p ge 143 -
165). Codes re listed by device type nd br nd n me.
The most popul r code is listed first. Make sure your
device is switched on (not on standby).
2Press the TV key on the ONE FOR ALL 5 for the device
you wish to Set-Up.
3Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key
until the red LED underne th the POWER key
blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
4Enter your (four-digit device code) using the number
keys. The red LED will blink twice.
5Now, im the ONE FOR ALL 5 t your device nd
press POWER If your device switches off, the ONE
FOR ALL 5 is ready to operate your device.
6Turn your device b ck on nd try ll the remote’s functions to ensure
they re working properly. If the functions do not work properly,
repe t steps 1-5 using nother code listed under your br nd.
7 If your device does not respond, follow steps 1 to 5 with
each code listed for your brand. If none of the codes listed
for your brand operate your device, or if your brand is not
listed at all, try the search method described on page 6.
Setting up the ONE FOR ALL 5
Before you start, please read these instructions carefully
Important notes:
- Most TV’s do not switch on pressing the POWER key. Ple se try pressing
“number” key or the “TV-text off” key to switch your TV b ck on.
- Some codes re quite simil r. If your device does not respond or is not
functioning properly with one of the codes, try nother code listed under
your br nd.
- If your device’s origin l remote control does not h ve POWER key, press
PLAY inste d of POWER when setting up your device.
- Remember to press the correct device key before oper ting your device.
Only one device c n be ssigned to device key. If your origin l remote
oper tes more th n one device, you need to set up e ch device sep r tely.

The Search Method
If your device does not respond to the ONE FOR ALL 5 fter you h ve tried
ll the codes listed for your br nd, try se rching for your code. The Se rch
Method llows you to find the code for your device by sc nning through ll
the codes cont ined in the memory of the ONE FOR ALL 5. The Se rch
Method m y lso work if your br nd is not listed t ll.
Example: To search for your TV code:
1Switch your television on (not on st ndby) nd im your ONE FOR ALL
t your TV.
2Press the TV key on your ONE FOR ALL 5.
3Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key
until the red LED underne th the POWER key
blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
4Press 9 9 1. The red LED will blink twice.
5Next, press POWER.
6Aim the ONE FOR ALL 5 t your Television. Now press CH+
over nd over, until your Television turns off (everytime
you press the CH+ key the ONE FOR ALL 5 will send out
POWER sign l from the next code cont ined in the
memory). You m y h ve to press this key m ny times (up
to 150 times) so ple se be p tient. If you skip p st code,
you c n go to the previous code(s) by pressing the CH-
key. Remember to keep pointing the ONE FOR ALL 5 t
your Television while pressing this key.
7As soon s your television turns off, press the M (MA IC)
key to store the code.
Important notes:
- Most TV’s do not switch on pressing the POWER key. Ple se try pressing
“number” key or the “TV-text off” key to switch your TV b ck on.
- To se rch for the code for nother device follow the instructions bove
only press the ppropri te device key inste d of TV during step 2.
- If your Video’s origin l remote control does not h ve POWER key, press
PLAY inste d of POWER during step 5.

Once you have Set-Up your ONE FOR ALL 5, you can blink back your
SET-UP CODE for future reference.
Example: To blink out your Television code:
1Press TV once.
2Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key
until the red LED underne th the POWER key
blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
3Press 9 9 0. The red LED underne th the POWER key will
blink twice.
4For the first digit of your four-digit code, press 1nd
count ll the red blinks. If there re no blinks, the digit is
"0".
5For the second digit, press 2nd count ll the red blinks.
If there re no blinks, the digit is "0".
6For the third digit, press 3nd count ll the red blinks.
If there re no blinks, the digit is "0".
7For the fourth digit, press 4nd count ll the red blinks.
If there re no blinks, the digit is "0". Now you have
your four-digit code.

Before you st rt:
- M ke sure your origin l remote control is working correctly.
- M ke sure neither your ONE FOR ALL, nor your origin l remote control
is pointing t your device.
Example: To copy the “mono/stereo” function from your original TV
remote onto the ”Red”key of your ONE FOR ALL 5.
1Place both remote controls (the ONE FOR ALL 5 and your
original) on a flat surface. Make sure the ends which you
normally point at your device are facing each other. Keep
the remotes at a distance of 2 to 5 cm.
2Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key
until the red LED underne th the POWER key
blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
3 Press 9 7 5 (the red LED will blink twice).
4Press the device key (on the ONE FOR ALL remote) to
select the mode to which you w nt to copy the le rned
function (Example: TV key).
5 Press the key (on the ONE FOR ALL remote)
where you w nt to pl ce the le rned function
(Example: ”Red” key). The red LED will
fl sh r pidly.
6 Press and hold the key (on your original remote)
th t you w nt to copy until the red LED blinks twice
(Example: “mono/stereo” key).
7If you w nt to copy other functions within the s me mode, simply
repe t steps 5 nd 6 pressing the next key you w nt to copy by
le rning.
8To exit the le rning mode, press nd hold down
the M (MA IC) key until the red LED blinks twice.
9Le rning is mode specific. To ccess your le rned function,
press the ppropri te device key first.
The Learning Feature
(How to copy functions from your original working remote

Important notes:
- The ONE FOR ALL 5 c n le rn pproxim tely 25 – 40 functions.
- You c n repl ce le rned function by pl cing nother le rned function
on top.
- Upon ch nging the b tteries, your le rned functions will be ret ined.

Shifted Learning
You c n lso le rn function on key of the ONE FOR ALL without
s crificing the origin l ONE FOR ALL function. A Shifted Le rning function
cn lso be put on ny key EXCEPT for the following: Device keys, MAGIC
key, Number keys. To inst ll Shifted Le rning function, simply follow steps
1-8 on the previous p ge. During step 5, press M (MAGIC) once before you
press the key where you re pl cing the le rned function.
To ccess the shifted function, press M (MAGIC) nd then the key you h ve
le rned on.
To delete a learned function:
1Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key until the red LED
underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
2Press 9 7 6 (the red LED underne th the POWER key will blink twice).
3 Press the device key in which the function will be deleted.
4 Press twice on the learned key which will be deleted (the red LED
underne th the POWER key will blink twice).*
5 If there is nother key which you wish to delete, repe t steps 1-4.
6 The origin l functions of the ONE FOR ALL 5 will now be present.
* To delete Shifted Le rned fe ture, press M (MAGIC) before you press
“the le rned key to be deleted” (during step 4).
To delete all learned functions within
a specific mode:
1Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key until the red LED underne-
th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink once then
twice).
2 Press 9 7 6 (the red LED will blink twice).
3 Press the ppropri te device (mode).
Operational Reset
The Oper tion l Reset will er se ll le rned functions cross ll modes nd
some other progr mmed functions like Key M gic nd M cros.
1 Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key until the red LED
underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink once
then twice).
2 Press 9 8 0 (the red LED will blink four times).

It is possible to ch nge the mode of ny device key. This is useful if you
w nt to set up two of the s me devices on the ONE FOR ALL 5. The code
cn be set up using “Direct code set up” (p g. 6) or “Se rch method” (p g.
7). To ch nge device key, see the three ex mples below.
Example 1) if you w nt to progr m second TV on the VCR key.
Example 2) if you w nt to progr m second TV on the DVD key.
Example 1:
To progr m second Television on the VCR key (for ex mple), you need
to ch nge the VCR key into TV key, so press:

The VCR key has now become a second TV key.
Now enter the Set-Up code for your second TV by pressing:

Example 2:
To progr m second Television on the DVD key (for ex mple), you need
to ch nge the DVD key into TV key, so press:

Now enter the Set-Up code for your second TV by pressing:

Resetting a Device key
Ex mple: To reset the VCR key to its origin l mode, press:

Volume Punch Through
You m y be ble to use some functions of your Television, Video recorder,
DVD pl yer, Amp./Tuner, S tellite receiver or C ble converter t the s me
time. For ex mple: if you re w tching progr m on your video recorder,
you c n djust the volume ( TV function) without pressing the TV mode
key on your ONE FOR ALL 5.
To punch through to TV volume while in the VCR, DVD, AMP or
SAT mode:
1. Press and hold down the M (MA IC) key until
the red LED underneath the POWER key blinks
twice (the red LED will blink once then twice).
2. Press 9 9 3.
3. Then press the TV key nd the red light will
blink twice.
To cancel the “Volume Punch Through” per mode:
(Ex mple: to c ncel the “Volume Punch Through” for the VCR mode)
1. Press VCR once.
2 Press and hold down the M (MA IC) key until
the red LED underneath the POWER key blinks
twice (the red LED will blink once then twice).
3. Press 9 9 3.
4. Then press the Volume (-) key nd the red light
will blink four times.
Result: being in VCR mode, you will be ble to control VOL+/- or MUTE
functions of your VCR (provided it h s volume control).
To cancel the „Volume Punch Through“:
1 Press and hold down the M (MA IC) key until
the red LED underneath the POWER key blinks
twice (the red LED will blink once then twice).
2. Press 9 9 3.
3. Press the Volume (+) key nd the red light will
blink four times.

Macros (Direct)
You c n progr m your ONE FOR ALL 5 to issue sequence of comm nds t
the press of one button. Any sequence of comm nds you regul rly use c n
be reduced to one key stroke for your convenience. For ex mple, you m y
w nt to turn off your TV, VCR nd DVD Pl yer t the s me time.
Example: To set up the Macro mentioned above on the “red’ key
on your ONE FOR ALL 5:
1Press and hold down the M (MA IC) key until the red LED
underneath the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will
blink once then twice).
2Press 9 9 5.
3Then press the “red” key to which the M cro will be ssigned.
4Next press TV, POWER, VCR, POWER, DVD, POWER.
5To store the M cro, Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key
until the red LED underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red
LED will blink once then twice).
6Whenever you press the “red” key, the ONE FOR ALL 5 will turn off
your TV, VCR nd DVD pl yer.
• To erase the Macro from the “red” key, press:
M* 9 9 5 “red” key M*
* Here you must hold down THE M (MAGIC) KEY until the red LED
underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink
once then twice).

Shifted M cros
You can install a Shifted Macro on any key, except for the device
keys (TV, VCR, SAT and DVD), the M (MA IC) key, and the
NUMBER keys.
If for example, you want to program a shifted Macro on the POWER
key, simply press M (MA IC) once then the POWER key during
step 3.
Now everytime you press M (MAGIC), then the POWER key, the ONE FOR
ALL will turn off your TV, VCR nd DVD Pl yer.
• To erase the Shifted Macro from the POWER key press:
M* 9 9 5 M POWER key M*
* Here you must press nd hold down the M (MAGIC) key until the red LED
underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink once then
twice).
- E ch MACRO c n consist of m ximum of 15 key strokes.
- M ke sure th t you progr m M cro on sp re key th t you don’t use in
ny mode.
- Once you progr m M cro on specific key, the sequence will work
reg rdless of the mode (TV, VCR, SAT, DVD nd AMP) you re using.
- To void ccident l recordings with the ONE FOR ALL 5, you must press the
Record key twice to begin recording. Bec use of this, you c nnot ssign
M cro or Shifted M cro to the Record key.
- If you h d to hold down key for few seconds on the origin l remote
control to get function, this function m y not work in m cro on your
ONE FOR ALL remote.
- If you progr m M cro on key, the origin l function will become shifted
(excluding CH+/- nd VOL+/- keys). Press M (MAGIC) key then the key to
ccess it. If you pl ce M cro shifted on digit key, ccess the origin l
function by pressing the M (MAGIC) key twice nd then the digit key.
- If Shifted M cro is pl ced on the Ch nnel nd Volume keys then the
Colour nd Brightness fe ture will be s crificed.

Key M gic is n exclusive ONE FOR ALL fe ture. The design of the ONE FOR
ALL ensures th t m ny functions of your origin l remote control c n be
oper ted - even those th t do not h ve their own key on the ONE FOR ALL
keyp d. Frequently used functions c n be ssigned to key of your choice
using the Key M gic fe ture of your ONE FOR ALL.
In order to progr m cert in function with Key M gic you need to know
the corresponding function code. As these function codes v ry with
different types of devices, they c nnot be found in the m nu l. You c n
request your function codes c lling our consumer service or by sending us
fx or e-m il.
Ple se mention:
• The 4-digit set-up code your device is working with.
• How the function w s l belled on your origin l remote control.
Once you obt in(ed) your function code(s) from customer service,
progr mming the code is e sy:
1Press the device key (TV, VCR, SAT, DVD nd AMP).
2Press nd hold down the M (MA IC) key until the red LED
underne th the POWER key blinks twice (the red LED will blink
once then twice).
3Press 9 9 4. The red LED underne th the POWER key will blink
twice.
4Press the M (MA IC) key once.
5Enter the 5-digit function code (provided by customer service).
6Press the key to which the function will be ssigned. The device
key will blink twice.

2 POWER (LED)
Power-t sten styrer den s mme funktion, som den
gjorde på den origin le fjernbetjening. Den røde LED
(lysemitterende diode) under POWER-t sten vil tænde
hver g ng, der trykkes på en t st.
3 Nummertaster (input select i AMP-indstilling)
Nummert sterne (0-9, / -/--) h r helt de s mme funk-
tioner som på din origin le fjernbetjening. Hvis din
origin le fjernebetjening h r en 20-t st, k n du få
denne funktion ved t trykke på AV-t sten. I AMP-
indstilling vil disse t ster (hvis de v r til rådighed på

4 AV-tast
I TV-indstilling vil du få AV- / Input-funktionen. I VCR-

I DVD-indstilling vil du få “TV/DVD”-funktionen, hvis
den v r tilgængelig på din origin le fjernbetjening. I

hurtigtekst-funktionerne på dit fjernsyn. Hvis disse
t ster på din origin le fjernbetjening bruges til
menun vig tion, vil ONE FOR ALL hurtigtekst-t sterne
muligvis fungere på s mme måde.

I TV-, DVD- og/eller SAT-indstilling vil du få “Guide”-

13 Transporttaster (VCR / DVD)
Disse t ster styrer tr nsportfunktionerne (PLAY, FF,
REW etc.) på dit pp r t. For t undgå utilsigtet
opt gelse sk l OPTAGE-t sten trykkes ned to g nge
for t påbegynde opt gelse.
14 Tekst-tv-taster
Efter t h ve trykket på TV-t sten bruges (REW, PLAY, PAUSE, FF)
til t styre de vigtigste tekst-tv-funktioner. Symbolerne under
t sterne er til tekst-tv. T sterne bruges til t få dg ng til tekst-tv-
funktionerne på dit fjernsyn. Dit fjernsyn sk l selvfølgelig kunne
vise tekst-tv.
TEXT ON: Sætter fjernsynet i tekst-TV-indstilling.
EXPAND: Viser den øverste h lvdel f tekst-tv-siden med stor
skrift. Hvis du trykker en g ng til, k n du se den nederste h lvdel
f tekst-tv-siden forstørret. Hvis du vil tilb ge til lmindelig vis-
ning f tekst-tv, sk l du trykke på EXPAND-t sten igen eller trykke
på TEXT ON-t sten, lt fhængigt f dit fjernsyn.
TEXT OFF: Skifter fjernsynet tilb ge til lmindeligt tv-billede. På
nogle fjernsyn gøres dette muligvis ved t trykke på TEXT ON-t s-
ten dskillige g nge.
HOLD/STOP: Stopper sideskift.
MIX: Viser tekst-tv og lmindeligt fjernsyn på s mme tid. Du k n
muligvis også bruge denne t st til undertekster. På nogle fjernsyn
er denne funktion tilgængelig ved t trykke på tekst-t sten to
g nge.
16:9: Denne t st giver dig (16:9) widescreen-billedefunktionen,
hvis den v r tilgængelig på din origin le fjernbetjening).

1 Find koden til dit pp r t i kodelisten (p ge 143 - 165).
Koderne er nført efter pp r ttyper og f brik t. De mest
populære koder kommer først. Sørg for, at dit apparat
er tændt (ikke står på standby).
2 Tryk på TV-tasten på din ONE FOR ALL 5 for det pp r t,
du ønsker t progr mmere.
3 Hold M (MA IC)-t sten nede, til den røde
LED-l mpe under Power-t sten blinker to
g nge (den røde LED blinker først én g ng,
dernæst to g nge).
4 Indt st din (fire-cifrede apparatkode) med nummer-
t sterne. Den røde LED blinker to g nge.
5 Ret nu ONE FOR ALL 5 mod dit pp r t og og tryk på
POWER. Hvis dit apparat slukkes, er ONE FOR ALL 5
klar til at styre dit apparat.
6 Tænd igen for dit pp r t og prøv lle fjernbetjeningens funktio-
ner for t være sikker på, t de fungerer korrekt. Hvis funktioner-
ne ikke fungerer korrekt, bør du gent ge trin 1-5 med en nden
kode, der er nført under dit f brik t.
7 Hvis dit apparat ikke reagerer, bør du følge trin 1 til 5 med
hver kode i listen for dit fabrikat. Hvis ingen af koderne i
listen for dit fabrikat fungerer med dit apparat, eller hvis
dit fabrikat slet ikke står på listen, bør du prøve

dit fjernsyn igen.
- Nogle koder er meget ens. Hvis dit pp r t ikke re gerer eller ikke virker
ordentligt med en f koderne, bør du prøve en nden kode nført under
dit f brik t.
- Hvis dit pp r ts origin le fjernbetjening ikke h r en POWER-t st, bør du
trykke PLAY i stedet for POWER, når du progr mmerer dit pp r t.
