an v nt. An v nt is d fin d as a chang from a w t or dry stat wh r th
tip of th wat r s nsor prob is locat d.

INSTALLATION OVERVIEW
Your packag contains th following:
Installing your s nsor is a simpl proc ss.
1. Locat th ant nna and scr w it into th top-l ft corn r of th s nsor until
it is s cur . Sharp objects should be stored out of reach of children to
prevent injury.
2. Ins rt th batt ri s. On th top of th s nsor, slid op n th door and
ins rt two AAA alkalin batt ri s. Th insid of th s nsor indicat s th
polarity (+ and -) of th batt ri s. Clos th door aft r ins rting batt ri s.
Th s nsor do s not support r charg abl NiCad or NiMH batt ri s.
How v r, th s nsor do s mploy built-in pow r saving functionality.
3. Mount th s nsor.
Installing Your Wireless Water Sensor
Your s nsor can ith r b mount d on a wall or just sit on a horizontal surfac .
Wall Mount Your Wireless Water Sensor
Warning: When mounting near a indo , drilling too close to the glass
could break the glass and possibly cause it to shatter. The indo
extends deeper into the frame than can be seen; therefore, ensure
your scre is beyond the glass before drilling. Thoroughly clean and
dry the surface.
1. Mount th s nsor s cur ly using th scr ws in th
hardwar kit. Using th hol s on th drilling t mplat
found lat r in this guid , mark th position of th
hol s to b drill d. For drywall or oth r composit
surfac s us a 7/32” drill bit. Drill a hol for ach of
th mounting scr ws and ins rt a plastic wall anchor
into ach hol . For oth r solid surfac s, us a 1/16” drill bit.
Drill a pilot hol for ach of th mounting scr ws.
2. Ensur that fr sh batt ri s hav b n install d.
3. Mount th s nsor onto th scr ws and slid down to lock into plac .
Attaching the Water Probe
Th prob , which attach s to th Wat r S nsor, is imm rsibl and d sign d
to monitor th pr s nc of wat r.
1. Ins rt th plug into th bottom of th s nsor.
2. Plac th Wat r Prob in th location you
wish to monitor.
Wall Mount Drilling Template
Mounting tools: Scr wdriv r, l ctric drill or awl. On hard surfac s, it is
r comm nd d that you pr -drill 1/2-inch d p pilot hol s with a drill bit
slightly small r than th brack t mounting scr ws b for s curing th brack t
to th surfac . Wh n mounting a s nsor on soft surfac s lik sh trock, us
an awl to punch hol s in th mat rial slightly small r than th plastic anchors
includ d in th hardwar mounting kit.
