lnstallation
'1 lnsert the suction cup hanger into the bracket slot.
2 Clean the interior surlace of the windshield.
3 Place the suction cup on the windshield and firmly push to have it lully
attached, then push up the suction locking knob to lock it into place.
4 Connect the car charger cable. Run the wire along the edges and push il
into the gaps, as shown in the picture below.
Connecting to Power
Powering the Car Black Box Recorder
You can power and charge this device in two ways:
1 Connect to a car charger;
2 Connect to a comPuter via USB
NOTE: When operating the Car Recorder on lithium battery power, you wiil
need 1o press the ON/OFF button to start or stop recording.
Connecting the 'l 2-24V Cat Cha(ger
. After you have started your vehicle, the Car Recorder will begin recording
automatically after a few seconds.
. The Car Recorder saves the recording as a lile
. About fifteen seconds after the vehicle's engine is switched off, the Car
Recorder will automatically turn off.
NOTE: Only a car charge source with 5V outpui can be used

Description of Functions
The Car Recorder has Vide R&ording mode, Photo Capture mode and
Preview mode.
IMPOTTANT NOTE
Before using this prcduct, you will n@d to insert a MicrosD card
(card is not included)
Recommended: Classl0 Mrcro SD card with a capacity between 4GB and 32GB.
Video Recording
lnsert a l\,4icro SD card before using (card not included).
. Press the ON/oFF button, or connect to the car chargef, The Car
Recorder will go into rsord mode and begin recording automatically.
. The recorded video liles are storcd on the Micro SD card. (When a
Micro SD card has ben inserted, an SD card icon will appear on the
lower right corner ol the LCD scren.)
. ln Video Recording mode, a vids camera icon will show on the top left
corner of lhe LCD screen. Press the OK button to stop recording.
TIPS:
. In video mode, press and hold the MODE button to turn on/oif Parking
mode (an icon will appear/disappear on the top of the LCD screen).
. ln video mode, press lhe UP button to enable/disable sound recording (a
microphone icon will appear/disappear on the top of the LCD screen).
. ln video mode and standby state, the remaining video recording time is
shown on lhe top right of the scren; 'this time is only for reference, as
video file size may vary betwen different video scenes.
Photo Capture
. Press the MODE button to enter Photo Capture mode. You will see a
camera icon on the top-left corner of the screen (along with the picture
resolution icon and picture quality settings icon).
. Press the OK button to take still images.

TIPS:
. ln picture mode, use the UP/DOWN buttons to zoom inlout. You can also
hold down the buttons lo zoom continuously (the zoom ratio will display
on the lowetrright of the screen; the digital zoom function is only available
in picture mode).
. ln picture mode, the number of photos you can take with the remaining
SD card space is shown on the upperright corner of the screen. This
number will update according to different image resolution settings.
This number is only lor rererence, as iile size may vary between different
images.
Preview mode
. You can preview all videos and photos recorded on this device
. Press the MODE butlon to enter Preview mode. A'play' icon will show on
the top left corner of the LCD screen.
. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to select lhe desired file for preview.
. Press the OK button to 'Play/Pause'.
Delete Function
. Press the POWER/MENIJ button.
. Press the DOWN button to select the 'Delete' menu and press the OK
button to enter
. You can select'delete one'or'delete all'.
. Use the UP/DOWN buttons lo make your selstion, then press the OK
button to confirm.
. Press the POWER/MENU button to exit.
TIP: lf the camera freezes, hard-reset the camera by pressing the RESET
button on the bottom of the camera.

Menu Settings for Video Mode
There are independent settings menus for each mode.
. When under the selmted mode, press the MENU button to enter the
settings screen for that mode. Use the UP/DOWN buttons to cycle
through the settings items and press the OK button to confirm a
selection.
. ln standby mode, pres the POWER/MENU button to open the menu,
then press the MODE button to switch to different tabs of the menu.
. Once the settings are done, press the MENU button to exit.
Video Size
Select from: 1920 x 1080 (interpotated),/ i2BO x 720 (defautt) / 640 x 480

Moiion Detection
Select Jrom: ON or OFE
When ON is selected, the Car Rsorder will automatically enter standby
mode when the vehicle is started. When an object moves within the camera,s
range of detection, vid@ rsording will start automatically. When lhe object
stops moving, the camera will be reording about 20 seconds then stop and
save the file.
Loop Time
Select the length limit for each rtrorded video file: l/2/S minutes. or OFF. lf
sei lo OFF, there will be no limit on rsording time.
Video Sound
Select rrom: ON or OFE When OFF is selected. sound will not be recorded.
Date Stamp
You can choose whether to display the date and time on the video jmages.
Select fromt OFF / Date Only / Date and Time.
When 'OFF' is selected, no time will be displayed on the video Iile.)
G-sensor
This will lock the current video when there is a shock detected (so that the
video can not be deleted, and you need to unlock the video before deleting).
Sensitivity can be set to: High/Middle/Low, or Off.

More Settings
ln standby mode, press the POWEB/lVlENU button to show the menu Press
the MODE button to move to the seltings lab for further settings options.
Park Mode: When the car is parked and the camera has been set to this
mode (the camera is then turned off), ii there is a shock or interference to the
car, the camera will turn on and record video automatically (video is locked).
Sensitivity can be set tor High/[.4iddle/Low.
Power Frequency: The trequency of the electricity used in the region.
Power Save: Set a duration after which the camera will turn off automatically
when there is no operation.
Panel Protect: Turns ofl the LCD screen automatlcally after the set time.
Date/Time: Set up the current date and time (use the Up/Down button to
change the value, and use the MODE button to move to the next digit).
Language: Select from 13 languages forlhe system.
Formati Format the SD card (this means all files on the SD card will be
deleted, so make sure you backup your files berore formating).
Reset All: Fleset to factory settings.

Vereion: Show system software version.

Resolution: Select the photo resolution.
Quality: Select the photo quality level.
Self Timer: Set lhe timer to take a photo.

Transfer files to PC and Using PC mode
1 Connect your computer to the Car Rfforder with a USB cable.
2 On the camera scrtrn, you will see two items: 'Mlass Storage' and 'PC
Camera'. Select 'Ma$ Storage' for file transfer and press the OK button.
3 Open the folder'DCIM/10oMED|A and download the file to your
computer
4 While connected to the computer, select'PC Camera' and press OK;
the camera can now be used as a PC camera for video chat (supports
Windows and Mac OS system).
NOTESi
. This video recorder has a cyclic reording function (see Loop Time
settings on page 12). When the storage is full, the video recorder will
store the recorded content lrom the very beginning of the storage
medium and cover the old file.
. To prevent old llles being deleted immediately, the saved files are
separated into strtions by 1/2/5 minutes. When the lvlicro SD card is full,
the old files will be oveNritten by strtion (videos that are locked will not
be replaced).
. When the lithium battery is low, the Car Recorder's screen will display
'Low Battery', then turn otf.
. lf any abnormalities occur in the system, please press the RESET bulton
on the bottom ot the camera to restart the camera.
