General:
The hand sander is designed for a 60 mm sanding belt. If you want to use the abrasive paper cut 280 x 230mm you have to shorten the base plate
and the handle for 2cm. This is pointed out again in the instructions.

After drying, grind down the glued handle for approx. 1 mm with
sandpaper.

Hand Sander - Wood
Cut out the template on page 5 and glue it on the plywood (2) by using
adhesive tape. Saw out the handle and clean the saw cuts. The size of
the handle depends on the use of the sanding paper!
Cut out the template on page 5 and glue it on the modelling plywood
(3) by using adhesive tape. Drill both parts (3a + 3b) for 1,5 mm as
shown. Saw out the holder and clean the saw cuts.
Measure and mark four 60 mm long pieces on the wooden strip
(5a+5c). Then cut the strip along the marks and clean the saw cuts. In
addition drill two ø 1,5 mm holes into two strips (5c) as shown.
Mark a notch according to the shown dimensioning on one wooden
strip (5a, 5b, 5c, 5d). Then saw out the notch.
Glue a wooden strip (60mm) flush to the front edge of the wooden
handle as shown. Moreover glue the in step 4 cutted part (5b) inside
to the back of the wooden handle. Use the wooden strips without
drilling holes.
If necessary, use the
dashed template, which
is 20 mm shorter!

Fix the handle in the base and mark the drillings with the drill. Then re-
move the handle and drill approx. 5 mm deep holes into the markings
on the base .
Drill through the handle a ø 4mm hole, that is approx. 30 mm inden-
ted. See picture!

The length of the base plate depends on the used sandpaper! Glue
the wooden strip (1) on the foam rubber plate (7). After the glue has
dried, cut the protruding pieces with a tinker knife. Tip: weight the
strip!
Glue part (3a) flush and centric on the wooden strip (5c) and fix it with
2 screws (8) as shown. .
Glue part (3b) flush and centric on the wooden strip (5c) and fix it with
2 screws (8) as shown. .
If necessary shorten the
base by 20mm!
Glue a woodcutting (5c) flush to the outer edge of the base (1) as
shown. On the opposite side measure and mark 20mm then glue the
other woodcutting (5c) on the base.

Shorten the rod (4) by 60 mm. Clean the saw cut and glue it into the
hole of the wooden ball (6).
Insert the sandpaper as shown and fix it through inserting the handle.
Insert the fixing pin. Done!
