1. This is a sensitive piece of electronic equipment, please take care of your camera
and do not let it fall.
2. Avoid having your camera near anything with a strong magnetic field or radio signal, this
can effect sound and image quality or prevent correct functioning of the product altogether.
3. Please do not expose the camera to direct sunlight or high temperature.
4. Please store your camera in a dry and protective area.
5. Lithium battery inside! Do not try to open the product and do not expose to heat, water,
moisture or direct sunlight.
6. Please take care when charging the batteries and keep away from children.
WARNING
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Please ensure that your devices (phone, tv, monitor, etc) are 4K compatible before
shooting in 4K with the Safari 5K camera. Devices that are not 4K compatible will be
unable to view any videos shot in 4K video resolution with the camera.

1. Transferring media to a computer
and charging the camera battery
Connect the camera to a computer using the
Micro USB cable. The camera will be powered
on and three options will appear on the screen:
USB Mode, PC Camera and Charging Mode.
USB Mode: is used to transfer media from the
camera to a computer. To select the USB Mode
press the Shutter/OK button .
PC Camera: is used to access the web camera
on the computer. To select PC Camera press
the Down button once and then press the
Shutter/OK button .
Note: This feature is not compatible with all
computers.
Charging Mode: is used to charge the camera.
To select the Charging Mode press the Down
button twice and then press the Shutter/
OK button .
The Charging Indicator light will flash red to
indicate charging in progress. The light will stop
flashing when charging is complete. Ensure
that the battery is fully charged before use.
Note: Charging can also be achieved by
plugging the camera into a USB wall charger. No
mode selection is needed to charge this way.

2. Using the Micro SD card
Push the Micro SD card into the slot until it
clicks into place. The label will face the rear
of the camera. To remove the Micro SD card,
press the tail of the storage card inward softly
and it will eject from the camera.
Note: Please use Class 10 - U1 / U3 Micro SD
cards up to 128GB only. Please turn off the
camera prior to plugging-in or pulling-out the
memory card.
3. Power On/Off
Power On: Press and hold the Power/Mode
button for 3 seconds, the screen will turn
on and the camera will be ready for use.
Power Off: Hold the Power/Mode button
for 3 seconds, when the camera is in the idle
state, to turn it off.
4. Busy Indicator
The Busy Indicator light will flicker blue when
the camera is recording videos, shooting
photos and etc. When not busy the indicator
light will be solid blue with no flicker.
5. WiFi Connection
To connect to WiFI on the camera, press and
hold the WiFi Up button for 3 seconds. A
WiFi information window will appear on the
screen and the WiFi Indicator will flash orange.
Go into the WiFi settings on your smart
device and search for the WiFi SSID. Once
you have selected the WiFi SSID, enter the
password that is listed on the camera’s WiFi
information screen.
Important Note: To quit the WiFi information
screen press the WiFi Up button .

6. Cycling Between Working Modes
The camera has 9 Working Modes: photo,
timer photo, burst photo, auto photo, normal
recording, slow recording, lapse recording,
recording+photo and dashcam. After the
power is on, press the Power/Mode button
to enter the Working Mode Menu. Using the
WiFi Up button and Down button select
the mode you would like to use, then press
the Shutter/OK button to enter the mode.
Note: Once in a working mode you can quick
access the Working Mode Menu by pressing
the Power/Mode button .
7. Working Mode Settings
In Working Mode Settings you can adjust the
video and camera’s resolution, recording size,
setting functions and much more.
To access the Working Mode Settings press
and hold the Shutter/OK button for 3
seconds while in a Working Mode.
Once in Working Mode Settings use the
Power/Mode button to toggle through
video, photo, gear or exit icons and press the
Shutter/OK button to select.
After selecting an icon, use the WiFi Up button
and Down button to toggle the secondary
menu and press the Shutter/OK button
to select.
Note: Working Mode Settings can only be
accessed while in a Working Mode. It cannot
be accessed in Playback Mode or Working
Menu Mode.

8. Formatting the Micro SD card
When using the Micro SD card for the first
time the message, “Please format SD card!”
may appear.
If the message appears please follow these
instructions:
a) With the camera turned OFF insert the
micro SD card (up to 128GB capacity).
b) Press and hold the Power/Mode button
on the front of the camera for 3 seconds
to power ON the camera.
c) Press and hold the Shutter/OK button
for 3 seconds to bring up the Settings
menu.
d) Press the Power/Mode button twice to
toggle down to the cogged wheel icon. The
icons on the left will be highlighted blue
when selected.
e) Use the WiFi Up button and Down
button to toggle until you reach the
“Format Card” option.
f) Press the Shutter/OK button to select
“Format Card.”
g) Press Down button to select the
“Confirm” option.
h) Press the Shutter/OK button to format
the card. Once completed you will see
“Format successfully!” message. The micro
SD card is now ready to use.
i) To Exit the settings screen, press the
Power/Mode button .

9. Video Recording Mode (Normal Rec)
After the power is on, the camera will start off
in video recording mode. Press the Shutter/
OK button .to start recording; press the
Shutter/OK button .again to stop recording.
Press the WiFi Up button and Down button
to zoom in and out.
Note: If the memory card is full or the battery
power is low, the camera will automatically
stop recording.
1 Video icon, indicating that the camera is in
video recording mode.
2 Text, indicating recording time of a video.
3 SD icon, indicating that the Micro SD card
is inserted in the camera.
4 Microphone icon, indicating that the
microphone is active.
5 Battery icon, indicating current battery
power level.
6 Red dot icon, indicating that the camera
is recording.
7 Stabilizer icon, indicating that camera shake
reduction is on.
8 Text indicating what mode you are
currently in.
9 Text indicating what resolution you are
shooting in.

10. Slow Rec, Lapse Rec and Rec+Photo Modes
After the power is on, press the Power/Mode
button .to enter the Working Mode Menu.
Use the WiFi Up button and Down button
and toggle to slow rec, lapse rec, rec+photo or
dashcam mode. Once in the select mode press
the Shutter/OK button to take a photo.
Slow Rec: This mode records video in slow
motion at FHD 1080p (90fps) or HD 720p
(120fps). To set the recording size go into the
Working Mode Settings menu.
Lapse Rec: This mode records time lapse
video at 10, 30, or 60 seconds and 200, 300,
500 minutes. To set the recording time go into
the Working Mode Settings menu.
Rec+Photo: This mode records and takes
photos simultaneously.
Note: Dashcam mode is available to record
while driving. The camera is also able to loop
record which can be turned on in the Working
Menu Settings.

11. Photography Mode (Photo)
After the power is on, press the Power/Mode
button .to enter the Working Mode Menu.
Use the WiFi Up button and Down button
and toggle to Photo, then press Shutter/
OK button to enter the mode. Once in
Photo Mode press the Shutter/OK button
to take a photo.
1 Photo icon, indication that the camera is in
photography mode.
2 Text, indicating how much space is left on
the inserted memory card.
3 SD icon, indicating that the Micro SD card
is inserted in the camera.
4 Microphone icon, indicating that the
microphone is active.
5 Battery icon, indicating current battery
power level.
6 Text, indicating what mode you are
currently in.
7 Text, indicating what resolution you are
shooting in.

12. Timer, Burst & Auto Photo Modes
After the power is on, press the Power/Mode
button .to enter the Working Mode Menu.
Use the WiFi Up button and Down button
and toggle to timer, burst or auto photo
mode. Once in the select mode press the
Shutter/OK button to take a photo.
Timer Photo: This mode takes a photo with
a delayed timer of 1, 3, 5, 10 or 30 seconds.
To set the delayed time go into the Working
Mode Settings menu.
Burst Photo: This mode takes multiple
photos of 3, 5 or 10 shots in 1 second. To set
the amount of photos the camera takes go
into Working Mode Settings menu.
Auto Mode: This mode capture a series of
photos continuously.

13. Playback Mode
After the power is on, press the Down button
for 3 seconds to enter Playback mode. In
Playback mode use the WiFi Up button and
Down button to toggle.
Deleting Media: Toggle to the trash can icon
and press the Shutter/OK button Once
gray boxes appear on the images, toggle to
the items that you wish to delete and press
the Shutter/OK button to select it. Then
toggle back to the trash can icon and press
the Shutter/OK button again. You will be
prompted to confirm or cancel the deletion.
Select & Deselecting: To select all images
toggling to the check mark icon and press
the Shutter/OK button . To deselect images
press the Power/Mode button .
Note: Playback Mode is not available when in
the Working Mode Menu.

I. How to obtain the APP installation
program
1. On Android and Apple (iOS) devices search
“Safari Connect 5K” in the Apple APP Store
or Google Play Store (depending on your
mobile device) proceed with installation
of the APP on your device.
II. How to connect the camera
to the mobile device
1. Please install the “Safari Connect 5K”
application program on your Android
or Apple (iOS) device.
2. Insert a Micro SD card into the camera
and then power it on.
3. Turn the WiFi on by holding down the
WiFi Up button for 2 second until the
WiFi logo appears on screen. Then the WiFi
information screen will appear providing a
name and password.
To disable the WiFi press the WiFi Up
button for 2 seconds.
4. Enable the WiFi function of the mobile
phone or tablet and wait for the “Safari5K”
network to appear; select the connection
and enter the password that appears on
the screen of the camera.
5. Tap and enable the “Safari Connect 5K” APP
on the mobile phone or tablet.
6. Select the camera name as it appears
on screen.
7. You can directly view the preview picture
transmitted by the camera, and then
conduct relevant operations.
8. Recorded photo and video files can be
viewed and uploaded from the camera to
the mobile device through the application.
Note: Previews appear in lower resolution
but high resolution files will be available
once uploaded to the mobile device.
9. Content can then be easily shared with all
of your friends through messaging or social
media platforms.
