STRUCTURE DRAWING
A. Original Point Setting (Please do not forget this step)
1. Completely clear prism window .
Drop standard solution of distilled water to fill the prism window.
2. Hold “CAL” button for five seconds till it twinkles “rEF” on LCD. Within 10 seconds after
showing “rEF”, press Mes button and hold it for five seconds. The instrument start to set Ori-
ginal Point. After Original Point Setting is finished, “End” will be displayed on LCD.
B. Measurement
1. Completely clear prism window. Drop solution to fill the prism window.

2. Press Mes button
C. Conversion of Status of Scales
1. Turn it off.
2. Repeat step 1-2 to set other scale.(The chosen status of scale will be stored no matter if
power is off.)
3. Synchronously hold “CAL” button and Mes button. Turn it on by pressing On/Off button.
1. Battery replacement
In the case of no battery or low battery whit alert of “ “ on the upper left of LCD, you
should install or replace the battery. Open the battery cover on the back of the instrument,
install a battery or replace the old battery with a new one.
2. Power On and Off
Press the “On/Off” button to turn it on or off. Temperature in Centigrade will display when
power on. The instrument will turn off automatically if there is no any operation in three
minutes.
3. Measurement of Temperature
Temperature can be displayed at any time by press the button during measurement. The
conversion of Fahrenheit and Centigrade can be made by pressing Temp button.

1. Don’t expose the instrument to low, high temperature and sun light for long time, to avoid
LCD losing effectiveness.
2. Because the instrument is very precise, aviod violent shocks.
3. To avoid damage, don’t disassemble and assemble the instrument or change the inner circuit
and parts.
4. Zero-setting should be implemented strictly according to instrument.
5. Be sure to clean the prism surface and window of stage before and after every measure-
ment.
6. To avoid that accuracy is affected by evaporation, be sure to implement measurement imme-
diately after dripping solution on window of stage.
7. It might cause wrong results if kept measuring under low voltage.
8. Don’t use it under strong light (as sunlight, lamp etc.)
9. Don’t use the instrument in humid or corrosive environment.
10. Prevent liquid entering into battery house.

RECOVERY AND RECYCLING
Art.13 Dlsg 25 july 2005 N°151. “According to directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and 2003/108/EC
relating to the reduction in the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment
and waste disposal.”
The basket symbol on equipment or on its box indicates that the product at the end of its useful life
should be collected separately from other waste.
The separate collection of this equipment at the end of its lifetime is organized and managed by
the producer. The user will have to contact the manufacturer and follow the rules that he adopted
for end-of-life equipment collection. The collection of the equipment for recycling, treatment and en-
vironmentally compatible disposal, helps to prevent possible adverse effects on the environment
and health and promotes reuse and/or recycling of materials of the equipment. Improper disposal
of the product involves the application of administrative penalties as provided by the laws in force.

CONFIGURAZIONE STRUMENTO
A. Impostazione dello zero (non tralasciare questo passo)
1. Pulire completamente la finestra del prisma.
Applicare una goccia di soluzione standard di acqua distillata fino a riempire la finestra del
prisma.
2. Mantenere premuto il pulsante “CAL” per 5 secondi fino al lampeggio della scritta “rEF” sull’
LCD. Entro 10 secondi dalla comparsa della scritta “rEF”, premere il pulsante Mes e mante-
nerlo premuto per 5 secondi. Lo strumento inizia a impostare lo zero di misurazione, dopodi-
ché viene mostrata la scritta “End” sul display.
B. Misura
1. Pulire completamente la finestra del prisma.
Applicare una goccia di soluzione fino a riempire la finestra del prisma.

2. Premere il pulsante Mes.
C. Conversione della scala
1. Spegnere lo strumento.
2. Ripetere I passi 1-2 per impostare una scala diversa (la scala prescelta verrà memorizzata anche
se viene spento lo strumento).
3. Premere contemporaneamente I pulsanti “CAL” e Mes, e mantenerli premuti. Accendere lo stru-
mento premendo il pulsante On/Off.
1. Sostituzione batteria
Nel caso di assenza di batteria o batteria scarica (segnale “ “ nella parte alta a sinistra
del display), aprire il vano batteria sul retro dello strumento, installare o sostituire la vecchia
batteria con una nuova.
2. Accensione e spegnimento
Premere il pulsante “On/Off” per spegnere o accendere. Sul display verrà mostrata la
temperatura in gradi centigradi. Lo strumento si spegne automaticamente quando non
viene utilizzato per 3 minuti.
3. Misura della temperatura
La temperatura può essere mostrata in ogni momento durante la misura. La conversione
da Fahrenheit a centigradi può essere effettuata premendo il pulsante Temp.

1. Non esporre lo strumento a temperature troppo basse o troppo alte, o al pieno sole per lungo
tempo.
2. Evitare eccessive vibrazioni o colpi.
3. Per evitare danneggiamenti, non aprire o modificare le parti interne dello strumento.
4. Impostare lo zero di lettura attenendosi alle indicazioni.
5. Assicurarsi di pulire la superficie del prisma prime e dopo ogni misura.
6. Per evitare che l’accuratezza venga compromessa dall’evaporazione, assicurarsi di effettua-
re la misura subito dopo aver applicato la goccia di soluzione.
7. Le misurazioni a batteria scarica potrebbero causare risultati errati.
8. Non utilizzare sotto luce intensa (sole, lampada, ecc.).
9. Non utilizzare in ambiente umido o corrosivo.
10. Evitare che del liquido entri all’interno del vano batteria.

MISURE ECOLOGICHE
Ai sensi dell’articolo 13 del decreto legislativo 25 luglio 2005 n°151. “Attuazione delle direttive
2002/95/CE, 2002/96/CE e 2003/108/CE, relative alla riduzione dell’uso di sostanze pericolose nelle
apparecchiature elettriche ed elettroniche, nonché allo smaltimento dei rifiuti”.
Il simbolo del cassonetto riportato sulla apparecchiatura o sulla sua confezione indica che il prodotto alla
ne della propria vita utile deve essere raccolto separatamente degli altri riuti. La raccolta differenziata
della presente apparecchiatura giunta a ne vita è organizzata e gestita dal produttore.
L’utente che vorrà disfarsi della presente apparecchiatura dovrà quindi contattare il produttore e seguire
il sistema che questo ha adottato per consentire la raccolta separata dell’apparecchiatura giunta a ne
vita.
L’adeguata raccolta differenziata per l’avvio successivo della apparecchiatura dismessa al riciclaggio,
al trattamento e allo smaltimento ambientalmente compatibile contribuisce ad evitare possibili effetti
negativi sull’ambiente e sulla salute e favorisce il reimpiego e/o riciclo dei materiali di cui è composta
l’apparecchiatura.
Lo smaltimento abusivo del prodotto da parte del detentore comporta l’applicazione delle sanzioni am-
ministrative previste dalla normativa vigente.
