•Makesurethatthemonitorisconnectedtoa mainsvoltagewiththe
characteristicsindicatedinthetechnicalspecificationssection.
вAvoidoverloadedelectricalsockets,powercableextensions,splitplugsand
worncables,astheycouldbedangerous.
•Donotplaceheavyobjectsonthepowercable:thiscoulddamagethecableor
causeelectricalshocks.
aDonotinstallthemonitorindamp,dustyordirtyenvironments,nearheat
sources,indirectsunlightorwherelightfromothersourcesshinesontothe
screen.Thelatterprecautionwillreduceeyestrain.
•Neverexposethemonitortorainorspillanythingonit:ifliquidpenetrates,
seriousdamagecouldbecausedtotheelectricalcircuits.
•Themonitorventilationinletsaredesignedsothattheheatgeneratedduring
usecaneasilybedispersed;itisthereforeoffundamentalimportancethat
theseinletsremainfree.Ensurethattheinstallationareaissurroundedby
sufficientventilationspace.
•Beforemovingthemonitor,checkthatthevideosignalcableandthepower
cablearedisconnectedfromthecomputerandfromthepowersupply
respectively.
ErgonomiePositioningoftheMonitor
Themonitordoesnotdamagehealth,butshouldalwaysbeusedcorrectly.
Thereforeitisadvisabletoadheretothefollowing guidelines.Positionthemonitorat
least50cmfromtheeyes,anoperationthatalsoallowsthekeyboardtobe
positionedcorrectly,thatisatleast15cmfromtheedgeofthetable.Locateitin
frontofyou,avoidingunnecessaryanddamagingrotationofthebodyandhead.
Onlylocatethemonitortoonesidewhenitisnecessarytoconcentrateonthe
documentratherthanonthetextdisplayed.Toavoidunsuitablepositions, donot
placethemonitoronthebasicunit,butplaceitdirectlyonthetable.
Illumination
Thecomputerimagesdisplayedmustbeeasytoread,withoutreflectionsfrom
artificiallightsourcesorwindows.Forthispurpose,positionthemonitor
perpendicularlytoa windowtoavoidworkingagainstthelightsource.Adjustthe
contrastandbrightnessaccordingtoenvironmentallightconditions.A numberof
adjustmentscouldberequiredduringdaylighthours.Donotstareatthescreenfor
toolong;everysooftenglanceawayandfocusonanotherobjectintheroom.
Posture
Holdyourbackstraight,leaningthelowerbackagainsta backrest.Adjustthechair
heightsothatyourfeetrestcomfortablyonthefloor withouthavingtobendyour
thighs.Donotmaintainthesamepositionfortoolong:getupatleastonceanhour.
