Caution Failure to observe the instruction may result in injury or property damage.
Warning
When handling the device
● Operate the device at the specified power supply voltage. Otherwise, it may cause fire, electric shock and failure.
● Do not remove the cover or disassemble the device. Doing so may cause electric shock with the equipped high-voltage circuit, or may cause a
malfunction.
Processes in abnormal case
Turn off the power in cases mentioned below. Operation under abnormal condition may cause a malfunction.
● When liquid or foreign substances enter the device
● When the device is dropped or its case is damaged
● When abnormal noise or foul smell is present
Caution
When handling the device
● Handle with care due to the precision product.
● Sensor and Processing Unit are used in pair. Do not change the combination.
● After installation and power on, keep idling for 15minutes before measurement.
● Connect all the cables prior to plugging into power outlets, following instructions of this manual.
● Turn on/off the power, following instructions of this manual.
● Keep an interval of 10 seconds whenever switching the power.
● Be sure to turn off the power when connecting and disconnecting cables to prevent trouble and damages.

4-2 setting
Place the TM-2070 head section so that the object will be irradiated with laser.
(About the details of dimensions , please refer to "9 dimensions.")
The distance between measurement object and head part (WD: working distance) is 0 to 110 mm
(
Meet each specification value
)
. It
can be used even more than 110 mm, but it becomes outside of each specification value, and when the WD becomes long, the measurement
field is reduced. ( Refer to the following graph)
In addition, it can be used in the optimum condition by measuring the WD after the installation and registering it as a parameter to
GP2000.
Always register with WD after installation.( Refer to「8-4 Parameter setting screen Tilt tab」for registration method.

13 / 49 TM-2070 Operation Manual CTS0358E 3ed Edition 220518
・As the WD becomes longer, the measurement range decreases
(Refer to the following graph)
● Caution:Do not give vibration to the device as long as possible(Vibration affects each measurement result).
In order to prevent the effect of vibration, choose a strong installation place(Around the pillars and walls),
or Equipment with sufficient strength. We recommend that you install it on the Shockproof platform.

5 A rough flow until the beginning of measurement
When installation and connection of each equipment are completed, the measurement starts with the following flow. Please check the
instructions for each procedure after the following chapter.
5-1Turn on the power~Inclination adjustment of head and object
① Turn on each device.
② Start PC software [GP-2000 Paramset].
③ Turn the laser on the Disp tab screen of the PC software[GP-2000 Paramset], and adjust the tilt of the head or measurement object
so that the spot enters the measurement range (in the screen).
※1. Other than the PC, terminals installed on Android OS are available.
For more details, please check『GP-2000 MONITOR use method 』.
5-2Laser power and camera shutter adjustment
When the spot enters the screen, adjust the laser power and the camera shutter to adjust
the spot brightness to the appropriate value.
There are three ways to adjust: The suitable brightness range is the range of PK120~240.
