1. INTRODUCTION
Power amplifier mainframe. It has four slots that allow inserting amplifiers of the MP-WD1 series (models MP-120WD1, MP-
150WD1, MP-250WD1, MP-300WD1 and MP-460WD1), or amplifiers of the MP-WDC series (models MP-120WDC, MP-150WDC,
MP-250WDC, MP-300WDC and MP-460WDC (amplifiers not included).
Main characteristics:
•4 Slots for modular Class D amplifiers. High efficiency (90%).
•100-240 VAC Main input power.
•Secondary 24VDC input power supply independent for each power amplifier module (ONLY MP-WDC modular amplifiers
series).
•DC voltage output for amplifier surveillance.
•Amplifiers standby mode control.
•1u Rack height.
2. FRONT VIEW

3. DA-4PM/0 REAR VIEW
1) DA-4PM/0 Ground terminal.
2) 15A Mains fuse for 220-240 VCA. The device is set
up with a 15A fuse to operate on a main voltage of
220-240 VAC. To work with other main voltages
(100-127 VAC), replace the 15A fuse with the 30A
fuse supplied with the device.
ATTENTION: MAKE SURE TO DISCONNECT THE
POWER CORD FROM THE AC INLET BEFORE
REPLACING A FUSE.
3) 100-240V AC 50/60 Hz AC Inlet connector.
4) Slot 4 / amplifier 4 controls and connections.
5) Slot 3 / amplifier 3 controls and connections.
6) Slot 2 / amplifier 2 controls and connections.
7) Slot 1 / amplifier 1 controls and connections.
8) Amplifier DC Fuse receptacle (see section 6). ONLY for
MP-WDC amplifiers series with secondary 24 VDC power
supply.
9) Amplifier LINE OUTPUT SPEAKERS connection (see
section 4.1).
10) STANDBY Control. Link these two contacts to activate
standby mode (see section 4.3).
11) Amplifier INPUT RJ45 connector (see section 4.2).
12) STANDBY LED indicator. Yellow LED.
The LED lights up when the STANDBY MODE is activated
through the standby control contact of the rear power
strip.
The LED lights blinking when the amplifier hot swapping
screw is not fixed to the mainframe, so the amplifier is in
standby mode.
13) PRIORITY LED indicator. Green LED. Lights when priority
contact (see section 4.2) is activated by an external
device.
14) Amplifier VOLUME adjustment.
15) 24V DC Main connector (see section 4.4). ONLY for MP-
WDC amplifiers series with secondary 24 VDC power
supply.
4. CONNECTION
4.1.Speakers connection
The equipment has four channels (one
per amplifier) for the connection of
100V high impedance speaker lines.

WARNING:
The sum of the power ratings of the loudspeakers
connected to the output of an amplifier must not exceed
the power of the amplifier module.

The connection between the pin 8 and the shielding of the RJ45 connector to the GND
of the DA-4PM/0, and the connection between the GND to the earth of the DA-4PM/0,
is made through the internal jumpers. By default, they are linked. If the installation
requires it, you can isolate by means of these internal jumpers. See figure 5.
4.2.Inputs connection
RJ45 Connectors. Each of the inputs corresponds to an amplifier.
Unbalanced inputs. Sensitivity of 0dB (775 mV rms).
Pin 1: AUDIO INPUT HOT.
Pin 2: GND (or AUDIO INPUT COLD if audio signal input is balanced).
Pin 3: Power supply output. MP-WD1 amplifier series voltage: +15VDC. MP-WDC
amplifier series voltage: +30VDC. Used for amplifier surveillance or to
provide a voltage which can be used to power low consumption devices.
The maximum current supplied is 140 mA.
Pin 4:Not used.
Pin 5: Not used.
Pin 6: PRIORITY INPUT CONTACT. By connecting this contact to ground, the
amplifier is ON even though the STANDBY contact is activated. If the hot
swapping screw is not screwed, the amplifier would remain in standby
mode even if the priority contact is activated.

4.3.Standby mode control connection
Closed contact: Standby mode ON.
4.4.Main input power supply
The equipment has a 100-240VAC power input which
allows the connection of the equipment to the mains by
means of the supplied cable. Figure 7.
If you are using MP-WDC series amplifiers, the equipment
has 4 secondary 24VDC power inputs independents, one
for each power amplifier module. This allows for these
amplifiers (MP-WDC Series) to be used in safety
installations through their connection to a 24VDC battery
system. Figure 8.
If you use this connection, you must place the
corresponding 24VDC fuse (see section 6. AMPLIFIER
MODULE FUSE PLACEMENT).

5. INSERTING THE POWER AMPLIFIERS MODULES
1. Remove the frontal plate.
2. If you want to use slots 2, 3 or 4, remove
the corresponding slot panel.

3. Insert the amplifier module by fitting it into the slot guides.
4. Fasten the amplifier module by means of the hot-swapping screw.

5. Finally, fix the front plate.
6. AMPLIFIER MODULE FUSE PLACEMENT (ONLY MP-WDC AMPLIFIERS SERIES)
If you use amplifiers MP-WDC Series and the secondary
24VDC power supply connection, you must place the
corresponding 24VDC fuse. Two fuses are delivered with
each amplifier module (1 + 1 spare fuse).
ATTENTION: Each amplifier model
has a different value fuse, depending
of the amplifier power. See Table I.
