This is your TEMPLE PH 1000 Owner’s Manual. The following pages will describe as
succinctly as possible the assembly of your new TEMPLE. Although some operations are
self explanatory, we strongly suggest you read this booklet to better understand the
importance of the different key adjustments.
Your TEMPLE is a precision instrument and its performance will be affected by the different
adjustments. It is important to set up your TEMPLE with the utmost care for an outstanding

Today, we expand our analog line to include the Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage…another fabulous
piece of engineering, designed by Oracle Audio.
This new unit is one of the finest phono stages’ available delivering an outstanding level or realism, finesse and
refinement. The Oracle Temple PH 1000 justifies vinyl as the perfect music recording medium, with high fidelity
and musicality.
From the very first moment you experience the design, functionality and control of the Oracle Temple PH 1000
phono stage, you will better understand Oracle’s design philosophy. Natural reproduction of recorded music is
not only an elegant way to describe our product; it is a feeling that captures your full attention. The Oracle

FEATURES
Inputs / Outputs
There are 3 inputs and 2 outputs to meet the needs of the vinyl lovers who own more than one turntable. You
can easily change the inputs with the INPUT rotary switch on the front panel.
The XLR balanced output is ready for the balanced preamplifier.
If your preamplifier is balanced, we strongly recommend a balanced connection for an optimal performance.
yInputs: 3 pairs; MM, MC1, MC2 (RCA, Unbalanced)
yOutputs: 1 pair; RCA Unbalanced, 1 pair; XLR Balanced
Switch-selectable gain setting
The Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage is equipped with 6 different stages gain setting, by using this knob you
will be able to meet many cartridges specifications.
You will also be able to set the gain depending on the output from the cartridges from 40dB up to 60 dB.
Selectable load impedance
MM Load Impedance
Fixed at 47K Ohms for standard.
For lower impedance, you can try via MC inputs and select 25-470 Ohms load impedance through the rotary
switch on the front panel
MC Load Impedance
The 6 positions rotary switch will support the MC selection of different load impedance.
You can select from 25 Ohms to 470 Ohms depending on the load impedance of the MC cartridge.
Note: The load impedance selection rotary switch on the front panel doesn’t work when you select MM
input.

Switch-selectable capacitance for cartridge termination
Another 6 positions rotary switch is used for the selection of termination capacitance for the MM and MC.
You can change their capacitance by turning the rotary knob on the front panel for best suitable capacitance.
Careful listening is recommended for the decision of this capacitance setting between 33 PF and 1000 PF.
Capacitance: 0, 33,100,220,470, 1000 PF 6 positions selectable
Set-up transformers for MC cartridge
For a realistic experience within the finest world of analog, the Oracle Temple phono stage has adopted the
Sweden made Lundahl separate transformers for the MC stage. (Left & right). This unique combination will draw
every details and dynamics from your Oracle Temple PH 1000.
RIAA Equalization
The RIAA circuit is designed by following the true RIAA standard.
The accuracy of RIAA standard curve is +/- 1dB,
Low Cut Filter
The low cut filter button is used to cut the low frequency. This will prevent any rumbling and will also protect the
speakers
Ultra-high Grade components
All the components used in the Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage are ultra-high grade. These components
are used for higher Signal to Noise ratio and for a better musicality.

Gain Setting
Cartridge impedance and capacitance loading
yGain setting:
The Oracle Temple phono stage gain setting rotary switch will affect the MM and MC inputs. You
can choose 6 steps of gain setting from 40 dB to 60 dB
yStandard 47K Ohms MM cartridge load setting:
Standard 47 K Ohms impedance MM cartridge through the MM input RCA is connected
internally 47 K Ohms fixed, in this case the input impedance rotary switch doesn’t affect the
loading impedance.
yLow Impedance MM and MC cartridge load setting:
These two types of cartridges should be connected through the MC1 or MC2 RCA input.
25,50,100,200,330, 470 Ohms selectable through the input rotary switch.
yCapacitance setting:
The capacitors are terminated through the capacitance selection rotary switch. Depending upon
the capacitance termination, the capacitors are present at input of the line stage. Therefore, the
capacitance affects both MM and MC inputs.

CONNECTION PROCEDURE
GND
The post connecting from your turntable. The two GND posts on the rear panel are electrically the same.
MM /MC1 / MC2
Phono unbalanced RCA inputs from your turntable
Main Output
These outputs are to be connected to your preamplifier or integrated amplifier.
The Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage is working unbalanced and balanced at the same time.
DC Power
9 DIN D-Sub connector is used in the power supply box

SAFE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Front Panel Buttons
Function Key
Standby You will notice the main power switch on the separate power supply box, when
the green LED is OFF it will light indicate “STANDBY”. Whenever you push the
button, the indication light turns ON and OFF to show the system status.
Phase The “ON” state of the LED indicates inverting polarity of the outputs of the
Oracle Temple phono stage. The LED “OFF” state is original polarity.
Mono Whenever you press MONO button, the indication LED changes On and OFF to
show the status of the Oracle Temple phono stage. The LED OFF state is stereo
mode.
Low cut filter Pressing the button to cut the low frequency will prevent any rumble. The LED
ON state is cut low frequency.
Capacitance The 6 steps indicate terminating the cartridge with following capacitance. Each
steps affect all MM, MC inputs:
1: 0
2: 33
3: 100
4: 220
5: 470
6: 1000 PF

Impedance The 6 steps indicate terminating (loading) the cartridge. MM input is terminating
with 47 K Ohms fixed. This selection rotary switch doesn’t affect MM input. Only
for MC1 and MC 2 inputs:
1: 25
2: 50
3: 100
4: 200
5: 330
6: 470 Ohms

Any service work or modification must be carried by an authorized Oracle Audio Service Center. Contact your
local dealer or distributor.
Only Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage purchased from an authorized Oracle Audio dealer will have service
work covered under this warranty.
A valid proof of purchase must be supplied for all warranty services.
Any unauthorized work, modification or service rendered on the Oracle Temple PH 1000 phono stage will void
the warranty.
