Important safety instructions
This symbol warns the user of dangerous voltage levels localized within the enclosure.

This symbol advises the user to read all accompanying literature for safe operation of
the unit.
- Read, retain, and follow all instructions. Heed all warnings.
- Only connect the power supply cord to an earth ground AC receptacle in accordance with the
voltage and frequency rating listed under the AC input on the rear panel of this product.
- WARNING: To prevent damage, fire or shock hazard, do not expose this unit to rain or moisture.
- Unplug the power supply cord before cleaning the unit exterior (use a damp cloth only).
Wait until the unit is completely dry before reconnecting it to power.
- Maintain at least 6 inches (15.25 cm) of unobstructed air space behind the unit to allow for proper
ventilation and cooling of the unit.
- This product should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers,
or other products that produce heat.
- This product may be equipped with a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other).
This is a safety feature. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact an electrician
to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of this plug.
- Protect the power supply cord from being pinched or abraded
-The power supply cord of this product should be unplugged from the outlet when left unused
for a long period of time, or during electrical storms.
- This product should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:the power supply cord
or the plug has been damaged; or objects have fallen, or liquid has been spilled onto the product;
or the product has been exposed to rain; or the product does not appear to operate normally or
exhibits a marked change in performance; or the product has been dropped,
or the enclosure damaged.
- Do not drip nor splash liquids, nor place liquid filled containers on the unit.
- CAUTION: No user serviceable parts inside, refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
- Orange amplifiers and loudspeaker cabinet systems are capable of producing very high sound
pressure levels which may cause temporary or permanent hearing damage.
Use care when setting and adjusting volume levels during use.
- Hazardous voltage may be present within the chassis even with the power switch off and power
cord connected. therefore, disconnect the power cord from the rear panel power inlet socket
before servicing. The power inlet must remain readily operable.

About Your Amplifier (important safety guidelines)
IMPORTANT!
Before connecting
your amplifier to a power source, please check the following:
Ensure your speaker cabinet is connected to the correct impedance with the
Terror Bass unit,(see Rear Panel section for guidance), using a good quality
speaker speakon cable. Do not use guitar leads.
When powering up your amplifier, switch to the 'Standby' position first and
leave for one minute before switching to the 'On' position.
The function of the standby switch is to allow the pre stage valves to be
pre-heated before the high voltage is switched to them.
If you are unsure about any of the above points please consult your local
Orange supplier.

After one minute the pre stage valves will be at the correct operating temperature.
Now the amp is ready to be switched from standby to ON and ready to be used.

Front panel explanation.
1. Power Switch:
In the up position the amplifier power is off.
In the central position the amplifier is set to standby.
In the down position the amplifier is on.
2. Power Indicator Lamp:
When light, the amp is switched on.
3. Volume Control:
Control the output volume level of the amplifier.

4. Treble Control:
An active tone Control that varies the high frequency boost or cut.
5. Middle Control:
An active tone Control that varies the middle frequency boost or cut.
6. Bass Control:
An active tone Control that varies the low frequency boost or cut.
7. Gain Control:
Controls the input gain of the preamp stage. If distortion is heard, the
Gain control may be set too high. In this situation, decrease the Gain
control(turn counterclockwise) and increase the Volume(3) control.

9. Input Jack:
This 1/4" mono input will accept signals from all types of bass pickups.

8. Input Selector switch:
When placed in the "Active" position,this switch activates a -10dB pad
for use with those bass guitars with active pickups.
Often, signal produced by active pickups is so strong that it overdrives
the input stage of the preamp. In order to prevent this type of distortion
this function is provided. Standard bass guitars with passive pickups
(no battery) should use the "Passive" position.
RH Side panel explanation
10. BALANCED OUTPUT:
Industry standard locking XLR output,which provides a low impedance
electronically balanced output signal. Always feed this output into a
balanced input. It is not designed to be fed in to a 'single side input' which
unbalance the signal.
11. GND LIFT switch:
In case of hum when using the Balanced output, the GND lift switch allows
the disconnection of the unit chassis from Pin1 of the XLR, help prevent
"hum loops".

12. SEND/RETURN:
This is low-level (1V RMS) pre-EQ effects patch. To patch an effects unit,
connect the SEND jack to the input of the effects unit.
Next, connect the output of the effects unit to the RETURN jack.
Remember to always use high-quality shielded cables for these connections.

Rear panel explanation
This is where your mains lead plugs in. Also the mains fuse is located here.
Please refer to the Technical Specification section for fuse ratings.
Never use two 4 ohm cabinets at the same time.
Terror Bass amplifiers should not be used with speaker cabinets rated at 2 ohms.

This unit provides professional SPEAKON-type high-performance connectors,
which offer mechanically and electric secure connection that complies with
any safety standards.
Additionally, SPEAKON-type connectors allow utilizing high-perfomance
bass cabinet cables with diameters of up to 2 x 2.5mm .
Warning: The symbol representing the speaker connectors indicates the
presence of touch-sensitive voltages,which can cause harm to body and health.

The Terror Bass provides full power at 4, or 8 ohms impedances. It is required that
you selector the impedance switch to the proper setting for your speaker load.
If your speaker cabinet is 8 ohms (this information is usually on the jack plate of
the speaker cabinet) simply set the impedance switch to 8 ohms.
The same applies for a single 4 ohm cabinet.
If you are using two 8 ohm cabinets in parallel (both connected directly to the
back of the amp), the impedance value is halved, and the impedance switch
should be set to 4 ohms.
Your amp needs to be set at the proper impedance for full power and reliability.
Note two speakon connectors are wired in parallel.
