FIRSTUSE
Before usingthe productthe firsttime, placeit on aflat,dryandheatresistantsurface. Then, switchit on
andletit workfrom3to5minutes withthe temperature controllerinhighestlevel,withoutputting
anythingon it.Thisallowsthe specialpre-useprotective coatingtoevaporate. Abit ofsmokeandsmell is
normal.
USING THEHOTPLATE
1. Set the glass-ceramichobon aflat,dryheat resistant surface.
2. Turn temperature controldial to"0", the lowest position.
3. Plug cord intothe outlet.
4. Turn control dial from "0"toanyselected setting (being “1”minimum one and “5”,maximum one).
5. HeatingElementwill begintoheatimmediately.DONOT touchwhileinuse, the surfaces will become
hot.
6. The lightindicates thatthe plateisgettingwarm.Onceit reaches theselectedtemperature, thelight
turns off again.
7. When notinuse, setthetemperaturecontrollerinthe lowestlevel,unplugthe cordfromthe wall
outlet and allowuntil it getscold.
Caution: DONOT use pans thatare unstableandeasilytipped.Use flat-bottompans toensure full contact
withthe heatingplatefor maximumheatefficiency.For long-lifeperformance, avoid droppinganyitemson
the heating plate.
CLEANING ANDMAINTENANCE
•Alwaysunplug unit and allowcooling before cleaning.
•Never immerse inwater.
•CleanHEATINGPLATEwithasoft,dampclothor anon-abrasive cleaner. Wipe dry.
