
ORIGO 1500 and 3000 Alcohol Stoves
This is a reproductionof the Englishportionof the instructions that came withmystove in
1987.
INSTRUCTIONS
ORIGO 1500 and 3000 are non-pressurized alcohol stoves withthe fuelabsorbed ina non-
flammable pulp. Theyhave no valves to develop leaks, or other components in need of
regular service. This makes ORIGO 1500 and 3000 safe and easyto maintain.
As always - whenworking witha naked flame - certainprecautions are required. So,read
the following simple instructions carefullybefore using your newORIGO 1500 and 3000
stove.
If anaccident should ever occur, remember that burning alcohol canbe extinguished with
water.
LOCATION OF YOUR NEW ORIGO 1500 AND 3000
Your stove should be located ina well-ventilated space. Avoid excessive draft.If your
ORIGO1500 and 3000 is used inanopencockpit,it should be placed so that maximum
protectionagainst the wind is obtained. Mount the stove as far awayfrom combustible
materials as possible. Preferablymount the stove ina metal-lined space.
TO FILL, OPENTHE STOVE TOP
Turnthe knobs to 0 position,burner openings fullycovered. Pull the forward lower edge of
the stove top slightlyforward,while simultaneouslypressing the catchPRESS (photo 1).

Tank must notbe filled near anopenflame or a hot object.The stove top canonlybe
opened whenthe burner openings are completelycovered bythe regulating plates.Turn
the regulator knobs clockwise as far as theygo, and the flames are extinguished. Lift out
tank unit. It is essential that not only has the flame been completelyextinguished, but that
there is no heat grow onburner top.
