Weight Capacity
Warning Statements
The wall, floor or ceiling should be capable of supporting a weight of at least five (5)
times the monitor’s weight. If it cannot, the wall, floor or ceiling must be reinforced.
Proper installation procedure by qualified personnel as outlined in the installation
instructions must be adhered to Failure to do so could result in serious personal injury.
CAUTION! The entire installation instructions should be fully read and understood,
including all of the safety symbols and safety precautions before beginning installation.
The installation instructions should be read, understood and followed to prevent
personal injury or proper damage. Keep these installation instructions in an easily
accessible location for future reference.
CAUTION! The ceiling structure must be capable of supporting a maximum weight of
400 lbs. If not, the ceiling must be reinforced. Proper installation procedure by qualified
personnel as outlined in the installation instructions must be adhered to. Failure to do
so could result is serious personal injury.
CAUTION! Make sure to hold the plasma display, or projector, securely and remove it
from the mount to make the height adjustment prior to loosening the adjustment
screws. Do not remove the screws completely from the extension loosen all at once.
Loosen, remove, adjust then re-tighten the screws. Failure to do so could result in
injury and or damage to the plasma display or projector.
Indicates that the power plug is to be disconnected from the power outlet.
Safety precautions must be taken at all times.
Warning and caution in general
Maximum flat panel weight: 160lbs THE CEILING STRUCTURE MUST BE CAPABLE OF
HOLDING FIVE (5) TIMES THE WEIGHT OF THE
FLAT PANEL AND MOUNT. IF NOT, THEN THE
CEILING STRUCTURE MUST BE REINFORCED.

2.1 Attaching CMH-01 to the Ceiling Adapter

Minimum four (4) complete
turns
A 1-½ ״threaded pipe must be firmly secured to the ceiling
structure before performing the following steps.
1. Align the CMH-01 threaded coupler with the
threaded end of the 1-1/2 threaded pipe.
2. Threaded the CMH-01 onto the
1-1/2 threaded pipe and rotate the
CMH-01 coupler clockwise until the
coupler is fully threaded onto the 1-1/2 theaded
pipe.
The coupler must be threaded onto the 1-½ threaded
pipe a minimum of four (4) complete turns.
Step2
Once the CMH-01 has been firmly threaded to the 1-½
threaded pipe, use a screwdriver to tighten the Phillips set
screw on the threaded coupler.

2.2 Selecting the Appropriate Mounting Hardware
1. Insert the Thread Depth Indicator into the thread inserts found on the back of
the flat panel
2. Use a pencil to mark the depth of the thread insert on the Thread Depth
Indicator, as shown in Figure 1.
3. Insert the Thread Depth Indicator into the remaining thread inserts to compare
and verify their depth.
4. Locate the correct diameter screw for the thread insert.
5. Test each size of the screws provided.
If the screw you selected is longer than the mark on the Thread Depth Indicator, as
shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3, do not use this screw. The screw length must not
bypass the mark.
Select another screw length until you fi nd a screw that comes closest to the mark
without going past the mark.
The correct screws should thread easily into the mount point and not pull out when
tension is applied.

2.3 Griplate™ Washer Installation
Griplate™ Washers are designed to accommodate the
various M4, M5, M6 and M8 hole sizes required by flat panels.
zFor Griplate™ installation, the dimples must be facing
the flat panel for the lower mounting points. For the upper
mounting points, the dimples must be facing away from the
flat panel.
zDo not place excessive pressure on the back of the fl at
panel, as this may damage your fl at panel.
zThe Griplate™ Washer must be installed between the
head of the mounting screw and the mounting bracket as
shown.
Does your flat panel have:
zRecessed mount points?
zUneven mount points?
zA curved back?
zAny obstruction near the mount point?
If Yes, you must install nylon spacers. Remove the mounting
brackets, Griplate™ washers, and mounting screws from the back
of the fl at panel. Proceed to the “Nylon Spacer Installation”
section..
Nylon Spacer Installation
Nylon spacers allow you to attach the mounting bracket to
flat panels which have recessed or uneven mount points.
Each nylon spacer will add distance between the mounting
bracket and your flat panel.
zThe nylon spacers must only be installed between the
mounting bracket and your fl at panel. The nylon spacers
will fit M4, M5, M6 and M8 screw sizes.

Flat Panel Installation
Step1
Step2
Install the mount according to the instructions
provided by Premier Mounts. Perform all structural
reinforcements before attaching the flat panel to the
ceiling mount.
Do not release the flat panel until the mounting
bracket arms are fully resting on the elliptical
mounting bar.
Raise the mounting bracket arms and the
attached flat panel over the elliptical mounting
bar of the CMH-01
The cable access ports face the rear of the flat
panel. It may be easier to pre-wire any cables
prior to flat panel installation (see Page 10).

Lower and center the mounting bracket arms with the
attached fl at panel onto the elliptical mounting bar of the
CMH-01.
zDo not release the fl at panel until the mounting bracket
arms are resting fully on the elliptical mounting bar.
Proceed to “Attaching the Decorative Covers” section.

Attaching Decorative Covers
Step1
When attaching the decorative covers, verify the direction
of the covers. The smaller mounting hole should be in
position above the larger mounting hole.
1. Place the first decorative cover over the first
mounting bracket arm and push firmly into
place.
2. Repeat Step 1 for the second decorative
cover and mounting bracket arm.
Step2
1. Align the mounting holes.
2. Insert and tighten a M4 x 6mm Phillips
screw (smaller mounting hole).
3. Insert and tighten a M6 x 25mm Phillips
screw (larger mounting hole).
4. Repeat Step 2 and 3 for the second
decorative cover and mounting bracket
arm.
Cable Management
Route cables through the cable access
holes and to their respective locations.
The cables must then be routed through
the coupler, up the ceiling adapter (not
included) and into the ceiling to a pre-
determined source.

Tilt Positioning
Adjusting the Flat Panel Friction
Tilt Angle
1. Place one hand at the center top edge of the
flat panel.
2. Place the other hand on the center bottom
edge of the fl at panel.
3. Using the upper hand, gently pull the top of
the fl at panel towards you while the lower
hand gently pushes the bottom of the fl at
panel away from you.
Adjusting the Flat Panel to the
Original Position
1. Place one hand at the center top edge of the
flat panel.
2. Place the other hand on the center bottom
edge of the fl at panel.
3. Using the upper hand, gently push the top of
the fl at panel towards the wall while the
lower hand gently pulls the bottom of the flat
panel away from the wall.
* If additional tilt friction is required, tighten the lower
nut and lower bolt only, to increase the tilt friction.

The CMH-01is designed for use with either a standard piece of 1-½˝pipe or any the following ceiling mount
adapters from ORION Images. Please refer to the ceiling mount adapter installation instructions when
