1. Purpose
The Keypad-R (hereinafter referred to as the “keypad”) is designed to enter the arming/dis-
arming codes and transmit them to the Lun-R receiver that is connected to the Lun control panel
(more about for compatibility, see the documentation of the relevant control panel).
Product is not equipped with built-in cameras and microphones, devices and units for
hidden video and audio recording.
2. Safety Precautions
Only the employees, familiar with the module design, instructed on the safety arrangements
shall be allowed to install, routinely maintain and repair.
The device does not have open live parts, representing the danger of electric shock to a per-
son. No safety ground.
3. Technical specications
The keypad technical characteristics is shown in the Table 1.

. How to use
Keypad is designed in a plastic enclosure with a removable base (Figure 1). Keypad P B and
battery holder are set inside the enclosure.
A multi-color LED indicator and RESET contacts to initiate the process of binding with the
Lun-R radio are placed on the keypad P B.
Figure 1. Keypad-R
Depending on external actions, the keypad transmits the following events to the Lun-R re-
ceiver:
●If the voltage of the battery drops to 2.2V or lower – the event "Batter low" is generated.
In addition, the keypad transmits periodic test signals to the receiver to con$rm its operability.
When the test signals stop, the control panel generates the ke pad communication lost event.
To transmit a code combination to the Lun-R receiver, input the desired combination using the
number keys, and then press and release the key. If an error was made during the input (before
pressing the key), then all entered data can be deleted from the buffer by pressing the key.
Pressing any key is accompanied by a short-term activation of the keyboard indicator (see sec-
tion 4.1) and the backlighting of the remaining keys, as well as a short beep of the built-in sounder.
If the code is not completed by pressing a key, then after 3 seconds the keypad clears the
input buffer, accompanied by a triple short beep.
In the absence of user actions for more than 3 seconds, the keypad goes into power saving
mode. In this mode, the input buffer is cleared, and the key backlight turns off.

The arming/disarming command is accompanied by four short beeps of the siren and a blink-
ing indicator (see section 4.1).
When the communication loss with the receiver, the keypad continues to search it. Therefore,
when you turn off the receiver or control panel for a long time, it is recommended to remove the
keypad’s battery.
.1. LED Indication
The keypad has a built-in multi-color indicator on the front panel. The execution of the com-
mand is accompanied by the current security status indication with a four-time indicator Jashing:
armed – in red; disarmed – in green.
This indicator provides the display of the following keyboard operating modes:
Binding – blinking green while waiting for a signal from the Lun-R receiver to register in
the control panel memory;
Bound – when the binding is completed successfully – turning on red for 2…3 seconds;
Batter low – a single Jash in red when any key is pressed;
Batter normal – a single Jash in green when any key is pressed.
.2. Group Arming/Disarming
The keypad controls the security mode of the group where it is assigned to by the 4-digit
codes. The control codes must be set in the control panel con$guration previously.
To arm the group into normal securit mode, enter a digital code and a key, for example:
To arm the group into sta home mode, press a key then enter a digital code and a key,
for example:
To disarm the group enter a digital code and a key, for example:
The key is used to reset the already entered digital code until the key is pressed.
The execution of the command is accompanied by an indication of the current security state
(see section 4.1).
.3. Binding
A new keypad must be bound to the control panel in order to successfully transmit its com-
mands to the receiver.
To register a keypad, do the following:
1. In the control panel con$guration, pre-set the required number of radiozones, their type,
group membership and other parameters;
2. Turn on the control panel in the operating mode and switch to the desired control
panel’s group;
3. Switch the control panel to the wireless keypads binding mode (see the corresponding
control panel programming manual);
4. Install the battery to the keypad observing polarity;
5. Switch the keypad to the binding mode by short-circuit the RESET contacts for 2…3 sec-
onds (until the blinking green – the signal "Binding");
6. Binding will processed automatically and, if successful, ends by turning on the red LED
for 2…3 seconds (signal "Bound").
The keypad waits 70 seconds for binding. To reinitialize the binding process, brieJy close the
RESET contacts again.

. . Wireless signal strength
The keypad should be in the radio visibility zone of its receiver, therefore, after binding, before
installation at the facility, it is strongly recommended to recognize the wireless signal strength.
To do this, turn on and place the keypad and the control panel in the intended installation lo-
cations, and then press and release the key. The keypad indicator displays the wireless signal
strength as follows:
LED color Number of blinks Signal strength
Green
3 Best
2 Good
1Poor
Red 4 No connection
If the signal strength is poor or there is no connection, it is recommended to change the loca-
tion of the keypad and repeat the above process in order to form a reliable reception map or use
the Repeater-R device.
.5. Installing
To keypad installation:
1. hoose a place for installation, taking into account the signal strength in this place (see sec-
tion 4.4);
2. Unscrew the screw from the bottom of the keypad, and then pulling its lower part forward
and up, remove the keypad from the base;
3. Mark two places on the wall for mounting the keyboard along the oval holes in its remov-
able base. The keypad should be mounted in an upright position (as shown in Figure 1). Drill
holes in the wall according to the markup;
4. Fasten the removable base of the keypad in the selected place with two screws;
5. Install the front of the keypad – $rst engage the upper latch, and then its lower part. Tighten
the locking screw at the bottom of the keypad.
5. Maintenance
Keypad does not require any maintenance.
6. Operating conditions
1. Keypad is designed for continuous operation.
2. Keypad shall be used at the temperature of –20°С to +55°С and relative humidity of 5% to
85%.
3. If the transportation conditions differ from the operating conditions, then the keypad must
be kept in the operating conditions for 2…6 hours before switching on.

7. Storage
1. Storage temperature shall be of –50° ...+55° at the relative humidity of 5% up to 98%.
2. During handling operations, transportation and storage in warehouses, boxes with keypads
shall not be exposed to sharp bows. Stacking and $xing of the boxes to the transporter shall
not include their movement.
3. Keypad shall be stored in the manufacturer's package. Battery must be removed for the en-
tire storage period or insulator must be installed in the battery holder.
8. Transportation
1. Keypad transportation shall be carried out in the manufacturer's package.
2. Keypad is allowed to be transported by all types of enclosed transporters, subject to observ-
ing the shipping rules applicable for each type of transport.
3. Transportation temperature shall be of –50° to +50° at the relative humidity of 5% up to
98%.
9. Disposal
Keypad disposal shall be carried out according to electronic household appliance disposal
rules established by the legislation of the State, where the product is operated.
