1. Purpose
The Smoke-R detector (hereinafter referred to as the “detector”) is designed to detect a smoke
inside of protected objects and transmit this events to the Lun-R receiver that is connected to the
Lun control panel (more about for compatibility, see the documentation of the relevant control
panel).
Product is not equipped with built-in cameras and microphones, devices and units for
hidden video and audio recording.
2. Safety Precautions
Only the employees, familiar with the module design, instructed on the safety arrangements
shall be allowed to install, routinely maintain and repair.
The device does not have open live parts, representing the danger of electric shock to a per-
son. No safety ground.
3. Technical specications
The detector technical characteristics is shown in the Table 1.

4. ow to use
The detector is placed in a plastic enclosure with a removable base (Figure 1).
A tamper switch, a battery holders, a multi-color LED indicator and R S T contact to initiate
the process of binding with the Lun-R receiver are placed on the detector’s CB.
Figure 1. detector and its base
Depending on external actions, the detector transmits the following events to the Lun-R re-
ceiver:
●If the sensor detects smoke, an alarm event is generated. Recovery is made by the ab-
sence of smoke or by the Reset command from the control panel;
●If there is no another events then the norm event is generated;
●If the sensor sensitivity decreases by more than 2.5 times or the sensor fails, the detector
fault event is generated;
●If the detector’s inner chamber is very dirty, the event chamber dust is generated;
●If remove the detector from the mounting base, the tamper alarm event is generated;
●If the voltage of the main battery drops to 2.2V or lower – the event Main battery low is
generated;
●If the voltage of the backup battery drops to 2.2V or lower – the event Backup battery
low is generated.
In addition, the detector transmits periodic test signals to the receiver to con$rm its operabil-
ity. When the test signals stop, the control panel generates the detector communication lost event.
When the communication loss with the receiver, the detector continues to search it. Therefore,
when you turn off the receiver or control panel for a long time, it is recommended to remove the
detector’s batteries.
4.1. Modes Indication
The detector modes displays by multicolored LED:
Norm – light off;
Alarm – Jashing red once every 1 second;
Smoke-R Version en_2 4

Binding – blinking green while waiting for a signal from the Lun-R receiver to register in
the control panel memory;
Bound – when the binding is completed successfully – turning on red for 2…3 seconds;
Communication lost – Jashing red once per 15 seconds.
4.2. Binding
A new detector must be bound to the control panel in order to successfully receive its com-
mands from the receiver.
To register a detector, do the following:
1. In the control panel con$guration, pre-set the required number of radiozones and ra-
diodetectors, their type, group membership and other parameters;
2. Turn on the control panel in the operating mode and switch to the desired control
panel’s group;
3. Switch the control panel to the wireless detectors binding mode (see the corresponding
control panel programming manual);
4. Install the batteries to the detector observing polarity – BACKUP $rst then the MAIN;
5. Switch the detector to the binding mode by short-circuit the R S T contacts for 2…3 sec-
onds (until the blinking green – the signal "Binding");
6. Binding will processed automatically and, if successful, ends by turning on the red LED
for 2…3 seconds (signal "Bound").
The detector waits 100 seconds for binding. To reinitialize the binding process, repeat the step
5 again.
4.3. Operability check
After registration, the detector should be checked for operability. To do this, insert the thin
(0.8…1.0 mm) wire to the drill in the upper part of the housing until it stop and hold for 6…8 sec -
onds. The indicator should start blinking, and the control panel indicate the detector alarm event.
To return to the “normal” state, remove the wire from the detector housing and enter a Reset
command by a control panel. Then the detector indicator should turn off.
A similar check of the detector's operability should be executed every year.

4.4. Wireless signal strength
The detector should be in the radio visibility zone of its receiver, therefore, after binding, be-
fore installation at the facility, it is strongly recommended to recognize the wireless signal strength.
To do this, turn on and place the detector and the control panel in the intended installation
locations, and then press and release the tamper button. The detector indicators display the wire-
less signal strength as follows:
L D color Number of blinks Signal strength
Green
3 Best
2 Good
1oor
Red 4 No connection
If the signal strength is poor or there is no connection, it is recommended to change the loca -
tion of the detector and repeat the above process in order to form a reliable reception map.
4.5. Installing
To install the detector:
1. Choose a place for installation, taking into account the signal strength in this place (see
section 4.4). The detector should be installed in a place where water does not enter the
detector housing, including from the mounting base. Also, the illumination of this place
should be minimal, and the distance to sources of electromagnetic interference and
heating appliances – maximum. The installation surface should be Jat, horizontal and
easy to maintain;
2. Turning the detector housing counterclockwise relative to its base and remove the base;
3. Fasten the detector base to the prepared surface using the self-tapping screws (it in-
cluded in the kit);
4. Install batteries in the detector housing observing the polarity or remove the insulators:
$rst BACKUP then the MAIN;
5. Install the detector on the base and $x it by turning it clockwise until it clicks. It may be
necessary to rotate the detector on the base until the latches are matched.
5. Maintenance
The product work should be checked annually.
6. Operating conditions
1. Detector is designed for continuous operation.
2. Detector shall be used at the temperature of –20°С to +55°С and relative humidity of 5% to
85%.
3. If the transportation conditions differ from the operating conditions, then the detector must
be kept in the operating conditions for 2…6 hours before switching on.

7. Storage
1. Storage temperature shall be of –50°C...+55°C at the relative humidity of 5% up to 98%.
2. During handling operations, transportation and storage in warehouses, boxes with detectors
shall not be exposed to sharp bows. Stacking and $xing of the boxes to the transporter shall
not include their movement.
3. Detector shall be stored in the manufacturer's package. Batteries must be removed for the
entire storage period or insulators must be installed in the battery holders.
8. Transportation
1. Detector transportation shall be carried out in the manufacturer's package.
2. Detector is allowed to be transported by all types of enclosed transporters, subject to ob-
serving the shipping rules applicable for each type of transport.
3. Transportation temperature shall be of –50°C to +50°C at the relative humidity of 5% up to
98%.
9. Disposal
Detector disposal shall be carried out according to electronic household appliance disposal
rules established by the legislation of the State, where the product is operated.
