S31 UserGuide
S31 SmartSocketis awifi wireless smart socketthatcanconnectanyhome
appliancesandelectricdevicesviawifi,allowingyoutoremotecontrolon
iOS/AndroidAPPeWeLink. Afteradding thesmartsockettoyourAPP,youare
abletoremoteturnonoroff yourconnecteddevicesfromanywhereatanytime.
Also,youcansettiming schedules, sharecontrolofthedevicetoothers,
managegroup andscenewith theAPP.
Hi, welcometouseS31 SmartSocket
1. Download eWeLink”app.
Search eWeLink”inAPP Store for iOSversion or Googleplay for
Android version.
2. Add device
1.Pluginand power up yourS31 Socket.

2.Press thebuttonfor 7secondsuntilthegreen LED
this:
Open eWeLink,click”+”.You’ll see thepairing icons.
For Android users,
pleaseselectthe1sticon, clicknext.
For iOSusers,selectthepairing icon accordingly.Then goto
Setting>WiFi>connecttheWiFibeginswith ITEAD
default
password 12345678.Goback toeWeLink,click next.
3.Itwill auto-search
and connectsmarthomedevicearound you.
4.InputyourhomeSSID &password:
4.1If nopassword, keep it blank.
4.2Now eWeLink
only support2.4G WiFi communication
5G-
WiFi isnotsupported.
5.Namethedevicetocomplete.
6.Maybethe
deviceis Offline”on eWeLink,for thedeviceneeds1
minutetoconnecttoyourrouter and server.WhenthegreenLEDon,
thedeviceis Online”,if eWeLink showsstill Offline”,pleaseclose
eWeLink and re-open.
2.Press thebuttonfor 7secondsuntilthegreen LED

3. APP features
1.WiFiremotecontroland devicestate
Turn on/off by tapping on deviceicon. Devicestate
alwayssimultaneousdisplay onAPP.
2.ShareControl
Theowner can share thedevicestoother eWeLink accounts.
Whilesharingdevices,bothshouldstayonlineoneWeLink.Becauseif
theaccountyouwanttoshare isnotonline,he/shewill notreceivethe
invitation message.
How tomakeit possible? Firstlyclick Share,inputtheeWeLink
account (phonenumber or email address)youwant toshare,tickthe
timer permissions(edit/delete/change/enable)youwant togive,then
clickNext.Theother account willreceivean invitationmessage.
ClickAccept, thedevicehas shared successfully.Theother user will
haveaccess tocontrolthedevice.
3.Timing

Supportmax 8enabled single/repeat/countdown timing schedules
eachdevice.Presettimerscanworkevennetworkisunavailable,but
thedevicemustkeeppoweron.
4.Setdefaultpower on status
InDeviceSetting,you can setdefaultdevice
status:ONorOFFwhen thedeviceispower on.
5.Scene/SmartScene
Sceneallowstriggering on/off yourdevicesautomatically.Scene
Settingsisintheupper right corner of DeviceList. You cansetup
scenesor smartscenestotrigger on/off thedevice.
Usersshould select Click toexecute”inthecondition,add different
existing devices,namethesceneand saveit.
6.Securitymechanism
Onedeviceoneowner.Other peoplecannotaddthedevicesthat
havealready beenadded.Ifyou want toadd yourdevicetoanother
account, don’tforgettodeleteitfirst.
7.Update
Itwillauto-remind you of newfirmware or version. Please
updateas soon asyou can.
4. Problems andsolutions

1.My devicehasadded successfullybutstays Offline”.

Answers:Thenewlyadded deviceneed 1-2min toconnecttoyour
router and theInternet. Ifitstaysofflinefor along time,pleasejudge
theproblem bythegreen led status:
1.1.Green led quickly blinksonetimeand repeats,whichmeans
devicefailedtoconnecttotherouter.Thereason maybeyou have
entered wrong WiFi password or yourdeviceistoo farawayfrom the
router,whichcausesaweakWiFi signal.Thedevicecannotbeadded
tothe5G-wifi-router,only the2.4G-wifiisOK. Atlast, makesure that
yourrouter isMAC-open.
1.2.Green led slowly blinksonetimeand repeats,which meansthe
devicehas connected torouter and server butfailed tobeadded to
thedevicelist.Thenpower onthedeviceagain, ifit still notworking,
justadd thedeviceagain.
1.3.Greenledquicklyblinkstwiceandrepeats,thismeansthedevice
has connectedtotherouter but failed toconnecttotheserver.Then
pleaseconfirm yourWiFirouter worksnormally.
2.Why theAPPcan’tfindthedevicein pairing status?
Answers:That’sbecauseof yourphone’scache.Pleaseclosethe
WLANof yourphonethen open it after aminute.Atthesametime,
pleasepower off thedeviceif you can, then power up totry again.
3.My WiFi isexpired, canIconnectthedevicestoLAN?
Answers:theS31 supportstobecontrolled by LAN(Updatein
15/10/2017,LANfunctionhas beenstopped).
4.Thegreenledkeepsoff,evenifthedeviceispoweredon.Press the
buttonbutthedevicedoesnotwork.
Answers:Thecircuitmaybebroken, pleasesend it back fortesting.
Returnshipping postageandpackagingwillbeatbuyer’sexpense,if
thedeviceisdamagedby thebuyer,andthebuyer shouldbearextra
repaircost.

toradiocommunications.However,thereisnoguaranteethatinterferencewillnot
occurinaparticularinstallation.Ifthisequipmentdoescauseharmfulinterferenceto
radioortelevisionreception,whichcanbedeterminedbyturningtheequipmentoff
andon,theuserisencouragedtotrytocorrecttheinterferencebyoneormoreofthe
followingmeasures:

ThisequipmentcomplieswithFCCradiationexposurelimitssetforthforan
uncontrolledenvironment.Thisequipmentshouldbeinstalledandoperatedwith
minimumdistance20cmbetweentheradiator&yourbody.
