5 HARNESS FIT
+ The harness straps should wrap fully around the shoulders with no gaps
between the pack and back.
+ The padded part of the harness straps should end 1-2" / 2.5-5 cm
below the armpit. And the harness should have 1-2" / 2.5-5 cm of
webbing remaining.
3 TIGHTEN HARNESS
+ Tighten the shoulder harness straps to tension by pulling them down and
back.
4 TIGHTEN LOAD LIFTERS
+ Tighten the load lifters to tension by pulling them up and forward. This
will pull the pack close to the body to help stabilize the load.
1 POSITION THE PACK
+ Completely loosen the pack’s hipbelt, harness and load-lifter straps.
+ Load the pack with 10-20 lbs/4-9 kg of gear.
+ Put the pack on and make sure the hipbelt is centered and rests over the
hipbone. The hipbelt padding should sit halfway above and below the
hipbone.
2 BUCKLE HIPBELT
+ Buckle and evenly tighten the hipbelt using Osprey’s cross body ErgoPull.
+ The padding of the hipbelt should wrap around the hips with approximately
1-3" / 2.5-6 cm of webbing between the buckle and the hipbelt when
tightened.

6 STERNUM STRAP
+ Adjust the sternum strap to approximately 2"/5 cm
below the collarbone; buckle and tighten to tension.

An internal sewn-in hydration sleeve with reservoir hanger and a fully insulated,
dual-zippered harness router with a hypo-allergenic stretch garage provides
ice-free hydration.
Load your hydration reservoir into the sewn-in reservoir sleeve via the
backpanel entry and route the hose through the port into the right insulated
shoulder harness using the hook-and-loop attachment to secure.

TUCKAWAY ICE TOOL ATTACHMENT

The tuckaway ice tool attachment loops and bungee tie-offs provide secure tool
attachment.
1 Slide the tool shaft through the top of the ice tool loop and flip the shaft up
toward the top of the pack.
2 Unbuckle the upper webbing buckle beneath the center fabric divider.
Place handle of the ice tool under the compression strap. With one side of
the compression strap still running through the center fabric divider, buckle
the strap. Tighten the strap to secure the ice tool into place.
STOWAWAY HELMET CARRY

1 Locate the helmet icon and pull the helmet carry netting out of the pocket.
(42/40L helmet carry is completely removable. To engage the helmet carry, two
of the four hooks need to be engaged with the cord loops inside the pocket.)
2 Place the helmet on the front or top of the pack and stretch the helmet carry
over it. Secure the helmet by engaging the helmet carry hooks onto two
corresponding cord loops either on the front or top of the pack depending on
desired carry.
Front panel helmet carry accomodates A-frame ski carry while top-of-pack
carry accommodates diagonal or vertical snowboard carry.

FEATURES
FLAPJACKET
M - 42L W - 40L
The toplid of the Kamber 42L and Kresta 40L is removable for trips that require
less gear or hut-based day excursions. To remove the toplid, detach the two
buckles and unthread the webbing from the tension lock. Once removed, the
FlapJacket protects your gear from the elements. Reverse to attach.
ROPE COMPRESSION STRAP
M - 42L W - 40L
An integrated rope compression strap on the underside of the top pocket
allows for stable, secure rope carry.
To use:
1 Unbuckle the two top pocket retention straps and flip back the top pocket
to expose the rope compression strap.
2 With the pack full, loosen the rope strap, place the coiled rope through
the compression strap and tighten by pulling the strap.
3 With the rope draped over the main pack body, reconnect the top pocket
and cinch the top pocket retention straps. Additionally, the side A-frame
carry/compression straps can be utilized to secure the ends of the coiled
rope when skis are not being carried.

Dual zippered panel-loading access to main
compartment for dry gear and hydration storage.
Or, alternatively, the main compartment is sized to
accommodate most avalanche safety kits including
shovel and probe. An additional font panel pocket
can be used as a separate dry gear storage for small
items, such as gloves.
AVALANCHE SAFETY COMPARTMENT

Separate dedicated front panel avalanche safety kit
compartment provides quick access to snow safety
gear including shovel head and separate shovel
handle and probe sleeves. The extra-large front panel
J-zip includes a third red safety zip for ease of access
in emergency situations.

Dual zippered backpanel entry provides
convenient and easy access to dry gear and
hydration reservoir storage even when pack
is equipped with A-frame or front-panel ski or

SKI AND SNOWBOARD CARRY
A-FRAME SKI CARRY

Dual, lower reinforced ski carry loops and upper reinforced carry/compression straps
combine for A-frame-style ski carry.

1 Slip the ski tails through the lower reinforced ski carry loops tips up.
2 Clip the upper carry/compression straps around the skis.
3 Re-engage the buckles and tension the straps around the skis for stable A-frame ski carry.
4 For a more secure carry, use a ski strap to compress the tips of the skis together.
5 Reverse to remove skis.
Take care in your surroundings when putting a pack on or removing it while ski or snowboard carry is engaged.

DIAGONAL SKI CARRY

Diagonal ski carry utilizes one side of the bottom front panel webbing
and secures on the opposite side of the top front panel webbing.
2 Unbuckle the upper webbing
buckle. Place upper portion of
ski beneath the reinforced area
of upper compression strap so
they are diagonal across the
pack. Run the webbing beneath
the center fabric divider and
buckle strap.
1 Unbuckle the lower front panel webbing and pull it out of
its tuckaway sleeve. Place skis diagonal across pack with
the tails down and away from the buckle. Re-buckle and
tension the webbing strap.
2 Untuck the upper webbing strap. With the skis placed
diagonal across pack, run one side of strap through the
center fabric divider. Re-buckle and tension the webbing
strap securing the skis into place.
1 Loosen or unbuckle the lower webbing buckle, slide ski
tails underneath webbing on one side of the center fabric
divider. Place skis diagonal across the pack. Re-buckle
and tension webbing strap making sure the strap is
threaded through the center fabric divider.

2 Untuck the upper ski strap webbing from the tuckaway
pocket over the left shoulder of the pack's harness. Run the
webbing through the center fabric divider on the top of the
pack and buckle the strap over the skis you placed diagonally
in step 1. Tension the webbing to secure the skis into place.

FEATURE DETAILS
1 Undo the upper and lower
webbing straps completely, place
the snowboard on the pack
and re-buckle the lower strap,
securing the snowboard to the
pack with the webbing running
under the lower boot binding.
Tension the strap.
HORIZONTAL SNOWBOARD CARRY

Reinforced hipbelt wings allow you to carry your snowboard
between your back and the backpanel of the pack to prevent
damage from sharp edges.
1 Remove the pack and place it on the ground with the foam
backpanel surface facing up.
2 Slide your snowboard through the harness straps with the
base surface facing up (your bindings should face the ground)
until the middle of the snowboard lines up with the middle of
the pack’s backpanel.
3 Lift the pack from the ground, taking care to keep the
snowboard balanced so that it does not slip out of the
harness straps.
4 Put the pack on and buckle the hipbelt and sternum strap.
5 To reverse the process, remove your pack and set it on the
ground, take care to keep your snowboard balanced so that
it does not slip out from the harness straps, and slide the
snowboard out.
VERTICAL SNOWBOARD CARRY

Dual upper and lower reinforced strap wings on the reinforced fabric front panel of the Kamber provide
stable vertical snowboard carry.

2 Re-buckle the upper strap and tension the strap securing
the snowboard to the pack.
M - 22L W - 20L
2 Untuck the upper strap webbing from the tuckaway pocket
over the left shoulder of the pack's harness. Run the
webbing over the snowboard and buckle the strap into the
female buckle located over the right shoulder of the pack's
harness. Tension the strap securing the snowboard into
place.
