INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING AN OTICON R12 and T30/T31
1. Slide the R12 receiver onto the
hearing aid, close the battery door
and make sure hearing aid is “ON”.
2. Place the hearing aid with the R12
receiver attached onto your ear.
3. Turn on/off the T30 by pressing the
power button and holding until RED
light comes on. To mute/unmute, tap
the power button. The light will flash
red when muted.

4. Once the T30 is on, press the round
center button holding T30 about 4
inches in front of the hearing aid to
“SYNC” the hearing aid/R12 to the
T30. It’s ready to use.
a. If Team Teaching is intended,
turn on the T31 (main
microphone) and the T30. On
the T31 microphone make
sure the Team Teaching
button is pressed/engaged
(this looks like a T with a circle
arrow around it). On the
screen of the T31 you should
see two numbers (e.g. 01 and
in smaller print B6), on the T30
you should see just the smaller
print number (e.g. B6).
5. Clip the microphone approximate 6-8
inches from your mouth (collar bone
area) facing forward with nothing
rubbing against it.
6. Take the receiver off the hearing aid,
and place it in the case for the
evening.
