Note about Safe, Logical Design
Other adapters may save you a moment by providing quicker alignment. However, other
adapters slip off and on the eyepiece without anything to lock them in place. They can
fall off damaging the smartphone or simply create bad images because of vibration. After
rigorous testing, our team chose this design to protect the investment you made in your
smartphone. Lastly, the Talon Adapter is designed to provide a true universal experience
by because of its fit with other monoculars, binoculars, telescopes, and microscopes.

Help Identifying Phone's Main Camera
When smartphones have several cameras, typically, only one camera is active by default.
If you find that is not the case, please see your smartphone's user manual to select one
camera or disable cameras if not set to a single camera by default.
TIP: Cover each camera, one at a time, with a finger or object to determine which
is active. The active camera's image will no longer be visible when covered.

Use a Tripod for shake-free images and to reduce blurring.
A tall tripod may be beneficial for standing images.
Use a Bluetooth Shutter Remote to avoid blurred images.
Orient the phone horizontally for panoramic/landscape views.
Use the adapter to take both videos & still photos.
The phone may be mounted to the adapter without the monocular
using the auxiliary tripod mount for selfies or other close-up
photography and does not require magnification.
Light is essential to quality photography. Be sure there is plenty of
ambient light. The Monocular is designed to maximize light with a
Multi-Coated Lens, BAK 4 Prism, and a large 42 mm lens. While able to
see in low light, the monocular is not equipped with night vision.
Monoculars with night vision are not available in this price range.

Photography Tips

- 13 -
1. If there are black edges or too much or too little light. Adjust the
"Eye Relief" (distance) between the Camera Lens and the Monocular
Eyepiece Lens. The "Eye-Relief" is 1/2", but may vary by phone.
2. If the image is blurred, adjust the focus wheel.
3. Clean the lens with a microfiber cloth to remove dust. An optics
cleaning kit is beneficial for superior cleaning.
4. When rapidly changing temperature, allow 2 hours for the monocular
and lens to acclimate to temperature differences.
5. If the image is dim, ensure that the ambient light is sufficiently bright.
6. If trouble persists, ensure that the lens caps are removed.
