Safety Instructions
Notice: Ensure you read and fully understand instructions before use
While every attempt is made to ensure the highest degree of protection in all equipment, we cannot
guarantee freedom from injury. The user assumes all risk of injury due to use. All merchandise is sold on
this condition, which no representative of the company can waive or change.
•Make sure all fastenings are tightly in place and that everything is in order before using the product.
This should be checked periodically by an adult.
•This product is intended for indoor use only.
•This product is not a toy, and is only to be used for its designated purpose.
•Do not carry out alterations or modifications to this product.
•Children should be supervised at all times when using the product.
•Leaving the product outside exposed to weather, especially direct sun and rain, will speed the
weathering process. This can be slowed by removing the product from these conditions.
•Do not discard any of the packaging until you have checked that you have all of the parts and fittings
required.
•Not dishwasher safe. Clean only with a damp cloth. Do not use strong industrial cleaning substances.
•You can use the program to aid the removal of stubborn stains. Add 800ml of water and a small
amount of mild detergent and use ‘blender’ or ‘pulse’ setting.
•This product is for domestic use only.
•To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse cord, plug or any part of this appliance in water
or any other liquid.
•Never operate electrical appliance in immediate vicinity of water sources.
•Ensure the power supply to the socket into which the appliance is plugged, is in accordance with
the rating label on the appliance and that the socket is earthed.
•This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory
and mental capacities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by persons responsible for their safety.
•When the appliance is not in use, always unplug from the mains socket.
•If the product is damaged or has any defects, please contact cservice@oypla.com
WARNING: the jug contains very sharp blades and should be handles with care at all time.
WARNING: heat/steam will be emitted from the lid. Care must be taken when removing the lid and food
chute.
WARNING: food high in starch or sugar is easy to burn on the bottom.

Operating Instructions
Parts List:
•Place the base unit of soup maker on a flat, heat-resistant, stable surface. Carefully
position the jug on the base unit aligning the connections in the base of the jug handle
with those in the base unit, ensuring the jug is secure.
•Press the button when open and close the lid. The blade will stop working when the lid is
open.
•Plug the soup maker to the mains power supply, fill with liquid to desired level (must be
above ‘water min’ marking) and fit the lid to the soup maker by aligning the ‘close/power
on’ symbol on the lid with the line on the top of the handle.
•Once aligned, turn the lid in the direction of the arrows on the lid until the lid lock symbol
aligns with the line on the handle. Ensure the measuring cup stopped is fitted to the top
of the lid.
•Press the START/STOP button to turn the soup maker on. The button will illuminate
indicating the soup maker is on.
•If at this point the alarm sounds, disconnect the soup maker from the mains power supply
and check that the lid is properly fitted and the fluid level is correct as described on the
shooting, then re-connect to the mains and power up.
•The soup maker has two programmed soup
settings to create a chunky or smooth soup.
•The product also has a function that can heat
precooked soup before serving.
•The built-in-blender blades can be used to
allow the soup maker to be used solely as a
blender to make purees, dips and dressings.
•The soup maker is fitted with several safety
features, including an interlocking lid cut-out,
a minimum liquid sensor, a hot liquid overflow
sensor for safe use at all times and safety
micro-switch cut-off on the motor base.

Press the START/STOP button, the indicator flashes,
load ingredients, choose the type of cooking
operation, the soup maker will beep 3 times which
means the cooking process has started.
During the cooking process, if the indicator blinks and
beeps continuously it means an error has occurred.
Checking the following:
1. Lid may not be properly locked
2. There may be insufficient water inside the jug.
The over-dry sensor may have activated.
3. Jug may not be properly placed in its main
body which may have activated the safety
micro-switch.
4. Heating base and/or motor may have over
heated and the overloading safety switch may
have activated. Separate the jug from the base
and allow to cool for 5 minutes.
5. Water or liquid may have exceeded the
maximum level and the hot liquids overflow
sensor may have activated.
6. Water or liquid may be below the minimum
level and the minimum liquid safety sensor
may have activated.
To completely stop the program at any time, simple
press the START/STOP button.

Note: the programs reply on uninterrupted
operation. Any interruption will result in the
cancellation of the program. Restarting a
program will result in the cooking stages being
repeated which may affect the final recipe.
Programs cannot be resumed once they have
been stopped.
Any ingredients to be added during the
cooking process can be added through the
food chute in the centre of the lid. Do not
unlock or remove the lid as this will stop the
program.
Once the program has finished, the soup
maker will sound an audible alarm and stop
heating. Soup can be poured straight from the
jug. Be careful when removing the lid from the
jug as it will be very hot.

Trouble Shooting
Problems
Potential Solutions
The unit is not
working and
beeping.
-The jug is not fitted to the base correctly.
-The lid is not fitted correctly.
-There is not enough liquid in the jug.
-The over-flow sensor has activated.
The unit has stopped
mid-program
-The lid is loose.
-Liquid level is too low due to evaporation during cooking.
-Liquid has exceeded the maximum.
-The jug has lost connection with the base.
Chunks are still too
large after the cycle
is complete
-Chunks were possible too large initially, use the blend function after
the cooking program.
-Incorrect function was selected.
-Insufficient water added: add more water.
The ingredients are
hard after the
cooking cycle
-Chop the ingredients into smaller pieced before adding.
-The wrong soup cycle has been used for the volume added.
-Too much water or food added.
-Filter is clogged
-Some foods require longer cooking times: select a heating function
until the food is fully cooked.
The soup is not hot
and the cooking
cycle appeared to
finish early.
-There was too much hot liquid in the jug –movement of the soup
during cooking reached the upper overflow sensor.
Food is burnt, and
stuck to the bottom
-Food to liquid ration is too high
-Sugary or starchy foods have been used.
