foregoing limited warranties apply only to the repair or replacement of defective parts and/or products and such determination will be
in the sole discretion of PAC. The limited warranties of this Section I.1 are further subject to those warranty exclusions set forth
below.
2. Aftermarket. The use of third party parts in the operation or maintenance of the product or repairs or servicing by unauthorized
service personnel immediately voids all further warranty obligations of PAC. PAC genuine consumables are sold on an as-is basis
and have no warranty beyond being shipped in good working order.
3. Limited Warranty Exclusions. Other than the warranties set forth in Section I.1., PAC disclaims any and all express or implied
warranties, including but not limited to the warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement of the

requirements, preventative or otherwise); (vi) use under inappropriate conditions or not in accordance with operating instructions; or
(vii) use in connection with the operation of a nuclear facility. There is no warranty for products determined to be, in PAC’s sole
discretion, damaged or impaired as a result of (a) misuse, neglect or accident; (b) improper application, installation, storage or use;
(c) improper or inadequate maintenance or calibration; (d) operation outside of the published environmental specification;
(e) improper site preparation or maintenance; (f) unauthorized repairs or replacements; (g) modifications negligently or otherwise
improperly made or performed by persons other than PAC; (h) BUYER-supplied software or supplies; (i) use in conjunction with or

Page 12 of 92 PAC L.P., All Rights Reserved, 2015
R6000S Operation Manual: Rev. G
indemnify and hold PAC harmless from any and all actions, claims, suits, damages and expenses arising from such use. PAC
provides no warranty on the oral representations made by its personnel while they are attempting to assist BUYER in the operation

discharge the above stated responsibility and that PAC shall not be liable for delays caused by resale product manufacturer. PAC
does not warrant products it does not manufacture except to the extent the warranty of the manufacturer of the product at issue
passes through or is otherwise assigned to PAC. BUYER further agrees that BUYER’s SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY for
PAC’s breach of the stated responsibility shall be limited to the difference between the resale product manufacturer’s price to PAC
and PAC’s price to BUYER for resale products.
5. Expenses for Non-Warranty Work. All repairs or replacements by PAC after the expiration of any applicable limited warranty
period will be performed in accordance with PAC’s standard rate for parts and labor. Further, if upon PAC’s inspection and review,

workmanship, but is the result of some other condition, including but not limited to damage caused by any of the events or
conditions set forth in Section I.3., BUYER shall be liable for all expenses incurred by PAC to conduct the inspection and review of
the product.
6. Exclusive Remedy. The limited warranty contained herein constitutes BUYER’s exclusive remedy with respect to products sold
by PAC and PAC’s liability shall be exclusively limited to the written limited warranty specified herein. No employee, representative
or agent of PAC is authorized to either expressly or impliedly modify, extend, alter or change any of the limited warranties expressed

on PAC’s liability are reasonable and reflected in the amounts charged by PAC for its products.

No product may be returned, whether in warranty or out of warranty, without first obtaining approval from
PAC, L.P. No replacements will be provided nor repairs be made for products returned without such
approval. A return authorization number must accompany any returned product. The buyer will pay for the

SAFETY AND INFORMATIONAL MESSAGES
The following symbols, Notices, Cautions, Warnings, and Dangers provide basic safety messages that
relate to the installation, operation, and servicing of this equipment/product. More specific safety
messages will occur within the procedures this manual illustrates. BEFORE FOLLOWING SUCH
PROCEDURES, READ AND ENSURE YOU UNDERSTAND ALL SAFETY MESSAGES. Exercise
caution at all times.
DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY COULD OCCUR IF NOT AVOIDED!
Multiple electrocution, explosion, fire, and other hazards may exist if installation,
service, or maintenance of the Flash Point Monitor is performed by anyone
except PAC factory-approved personnel.
HOW TO PROCEED: Installation, service, or maintenance of the Flash Point
Monitor should be performed only by PAC factory-approved personnel. Contact
PAC for help and guidance if you have any questions.
ELECTROCUTION HAZARD!
DEATH OR SERIOUS INJURY WILL OCCUR IF NOT AVOIDED!
An electrocution hazard exists because severe electrical shock hazards exist
when working around the high-voltage and/or 115/230 VAC components while
power is applied.
HOW TO PROCEED: Avoid hazard by turning OFF the unit with the ON/OFF
switch and remove the power connection or power cord from the unit to the
power source. Also, follow any required lock-out/tag-out procedures your
company policy requires.
To prevent electrical shock hazard DO NOT operate this equipment in rain or wet
conditions. To prevent electrical shock, make sure no water is present in the
system shelter while electrical maintenance is being performed. To avoid
electrical shock, shut OFF power to the system before you remove any electrical
components.
When you make electrical connections for the instrument, observe the guidelines
established by the U.S. National Electrical Code, ATEX, or other pertinent safety
codes for determining the size of service wires and for proper fusing. For
personal safety, this equipment must be properly grounded. The electrical
ratings are stamped on the equipment nameplate and stated in the specifications
section.
