Instruction Manual

Pacvac Pty Ltd warrants all machines and their components which are wholly of their manufacture
against faulty material and/or workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase to
the original user and subject to the following conditions:
1. In the case of proprietary components used by Pacvac such as electric motors, switches and
the like, Pacvac will pass on 12 months warranty given by the original, manufacturer.
2. The warranty shall not apply to any part of a machine which is expendable, such as the lead,
dustbag, brush and drive plate.
3. No warranty shall apply to any machine or component that has been altered, abused, neglected,
repaired or modied in any way. Only genuine Pacvac components to be used. The Company
reserves the right to repair or replace parts claimed as faulty at its discretion.
4. The placing upon a Pacvac machine of any attachment or equipment not manufactured or sold
by the company or authorized by it, shall void any warranty.
5. Pacvac shall not in any event be liable for any consequent or contingent loss or damage whatsoever.
6. Labour on any warranty will be covered within the rst 12 months. Labour costs on claims after
12 months will be the purchaser’s responsibility.
7. Warranty repairs can only be carried out by and authorised Distributor or Service Agent who is
a licensed Electrical contractor and freight costs will be the purchaser’s responsibility.

1. Read the Product Manual before using the
machine and always follow the Safety and
Maintenance Instructions.
2. Do not unplug the machine while it is turned
on. Turn the switch OFF – then unplug.
3. Always unplug the machine before connecting
or disconnecting the brush or pad holder.
4. Do not leave the machine when plugged in.
Unplug from the power outlet when not in use
and before servicing.
5. Use only the Manufacturer’s recommended
attachments.
6. Do not restrict the machine’s airow. Maintain
the machine regularly so that all openings are
free of dust, lint, hair or anything else which
may affect airow. Refer to the Maintenance
Instructions in this Product Manual.
7. Regularly check the power cord for damage,
such as cuts, abrasions, exposed wiring or
aging. If the power cord or plug is damaged,
the complete power cord must be replaced
by your local Authorised Pacvac Service Agent
in order to avoid a hazard. (The power cord
must be replaced with the same specications.
8. If the machine has been dropped, damaged,
left outdoors or the handle, vacuum unit or
motor comes into contact with water or
moisture, return it to your local Authorised
Pacvac Service Agent for a safety check.
9. Do not unplug the power cord by pulling on the
power cord only. To unplug, grasp the plug
and pull gently.
10. Do not pull or carry by the power cord. Avoid
closing the door on the power cord and pulling
the cord around sharp edges or corners. Avoid
running the machine over the power cord.
Keep the power cord away from heated
surfaces.
11. Do not handle the machine, power cord or
plug with wet hands.
12. Do not use the machine to pick up ammable
or combustible liquids, such as petrol etc., and
do not use in areas where they may be present.
13. This machine is not suitable for picking up
hazardous dust (Pacvac are able to provide
specic equipment for this use).
14. Do not use the machine without lters in place.
15. Store the machine indoors. Put away after
use to prevent tripping accidents.
16. This machine is not intended for use by
persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack
of experience and knowledge, unless they
have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the machine by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with
the machine.
17. Keep hair, loose clothing, ngers and all parts
of the body away from moving parts and openings.

• Fit brush or drive plate to machine by locking the handle in the
upright position and secondly laying it back on the oor.
• With the machine in this position, the brush can be engaged to the
quick release locking plate clockwise until it locks.

• Return the machine to the upright position. Lift the wheels so that
the machine is resting at on the oor. Adjust handle to a comfortable
position, starting at waist height.
• Recheck with wheels in the upright position.
• Ensure that the skirt assembly is sitting evenly on the oor.
• The machine is controlled by balance rather strength. Tilt handle
slightly upwards and the machine moves to the right, Tilt handle
slightly down and the machine moves to the left. When the handle
is in the intermediate position the machine stays stationary.
• To switch ON the vacuum motor simply depress the vacuum motor switch conveniently located on
the left hand side of the handle face plate (from operator position) when machine is running.
• Unwind all the mains lead and plug into a power point. Check that
neon light at the front of the handle top is on.
• Grip both handles grips securely. If right hand is to be used to operate
the switch lever, push the safety switch on the handle face plate with
the right nger. Whilst held in this position, squeeze the left hand lever
which will start the machine. The safety switch may now be released, it
will return automatically to the OFF position and the safety mechanism
will re-set.

• Detach dome lid and remove dust bag from
machine. Push dust bag inside out over bin,
then brush or vacuum bag.
• Do not hit bag against the wall and do not
wash bag.
• Clean the motor lter daily.
1. Replacement of Filter every three months
is recommended.
2. Replacement of Dust Bag every twelve
months is recommended.
• Check for any obstructions in the vacuum
hose. Also check that the inlet slots on the
skirt assembly are facing inwards.
• Replace the vacuum hose if split or damaged.
• Replace skirt assembly if slots are broken or
cloth is torn.
• Wipe mains lead and wind up on hooks.
Lift handle upright before wheeling. Brush
or pad must be removed and washed after
use, then stored hanging on the wall.
• Check main lead regularly for damage and
if damaged have replaced by an electrician.
