8.1. FanModeOperation

8.1.1. Manual Setting ofFanSpeed
-BasicFanSpeedcanbemanuallyadjusted(Lo, Medor Hi)by
using theFanSpeedSelection Button/Padat Remote Control or
MainUnit(TouchControl Panel).
8.2. Cooling ModeOperation
-Cooling inoperation according toRemote Control or MainUnit
(TouchControl Panel)setting.
8.2.1. Time DelaySafetyControl (3 minute)
-Whenthecompressor isstoppedbyOperation Switchat the
Remote Control or MainUnit(TouchControl Panel), itrestartafter
3minutes whentheOperation Switchat theRemote Control or
MainUnit(TouchControl Panel)isturnedON.
-Whenthesetting temperatureisreachedduring cooling operation,
thecompressor stopsand itwill notstartfor 3minutes.
-Protection ofcompressor tobalance thepressureinthe
refrigeration cyclefor 3minutes.
8.2.2. 7minutes Time SavedControl
-Thecompressor will startautomaticallyifithas stoppedfor 7
minutes eveniftheroom temperatureisbetweenthecompressor
ONtemperatureand OFF temperature.

8.2.3. Starting CurrentControl
-Whenthecompressor and fanmotor aresimultaneouslystarted,
thefanmotor will operate 1.6secondslater.
8.2.4. FreezePrevention Control
-Ifthetemperatureoftheindoor heat exchangerfallscontinuously
below34°Ffor 3minutes or more, thecompressor turnsoff to
protect theheat exchangerfrom freezing. Thefanspeedsetting
remainsthesame.
-Compressor restarts whentheheat exchangertemperaturerises
to54°F(Recovery).
*3minutes waiting ofTimeDelaySafetyControl isvalidfor
Cooling Operation.
8.2.5. Compressor Reverse Rotation Protection Control
-Ifthecompressor isoperating continuouslyfor 5minutes or
longerand thetemperaturedifference betweenintake airand heat
exchangeris4.5°For less for 2minutes, compressor will stop and
restartautomatically(TimeDelaySafetyControl isvalid).

8.2.6. Cooling Operation Time Diagram
8.3. EconomyOperation
-Purpose ofthisoperation isfor electricitycost saving.
-WhenEconomybutton ispressed, target temperatureisshiftedup
1°F, thiswill reduce operating timeofthecompressor and
thereforereduce powerconsumption. Itmay, however, take alittle
longerfor thecompressor tocycleon and therebyincrease the
room temperatureslightly.
-Compressor stopswhentheroom temperaturereaches thetarget
temperature. Itturnson againwhentheroom temperaturerises.
-Thisoperation automaticallywill berunning underLowFanSpeed.
-Economyoperation will stop if:-
-Economybutton/Padispressedagain.

-StoppedbyON/OFF operation.
-TimerOFF activates.
8.4. Random AutoRestartControl
-Ifthereisapowerfailure, operation will beautomaticallyrestarted
after3to4minutes whenthepowerisresumed.
Itwill startwithpreviousoperation modeand airflowdirection
(TimeDelaySafetyControl isvalid)as theoperation was not
stoppedbyRemote Control or MainUnit(TouchControl Panel).
-Restarttimeisdecidedrandomlywith5parameters:-
-Intake airtemperature.
-Setting temperature.
-Fanspeed.
-AirSwing bladeposition.
-Indoor heat exchangertemperature.
-AutoRestartControl isnotavailablewhenTimerisset.
-IfEconomyoperation isset during powerfailure, Economy
operation will notstartautomaticallyalong withprevious
operation modeafterpowerresume.

Basicfanspeedadjustment(3 setting, from Lo, MedtoHi)canbe
carriedoutbyusing theFanSpeedSelection Button/Padat the

-Thelouvercanbeadjustedbypressing theButton/Padagainat the
Remote Control or MainUnit(TouchControl Panel)tothedesired
louverposition.
-WhenstoppedwithRemote Control or MainUnit(TouchControl
Panel), thelouvervaneisreset, and stoppedat theclosing

8.6.2. Vertical AirflowDirection
-Theupward and downward airflowdirection vanecanbeadjusted
manuallybyhand.
8.7. Remote Control Signal Receiving Sound

-Toswitchoff thebeepsound.
Press the“Operation OFF/ONPad“ at themainunitcontinuously
for 10 second or more.
Repeat theaboveifyou wanttoswitchONthe“beep” sound.
*However, ifthe“Operation OFF/ONPad” havebeenpressed, the
previousoperation modewill beactivated. Ifyou do notrequire
thisoperation, you maychangeitbyusing theMainUnit(Touch
Control Panel).

10.1. Control Board Removal Procedure
1. Removethescrewsat thefrontand bothsides ofthechassisas
shownbelow:
2. Release thetabsat bothsides ofthechassis(dottedcircle) and
thenpull outthechassisas direction shown(arrow).

3. Removetwoscrewsat theback ofthechassis.
4. Removethree screws(dottedcircle) and release bothpiping and
intake airtemperaturesensor. Then, take outthesideplate as
shownbelow:

5. Holdthetop partofhorizontal vaneand pull itoutas showninthe
belowfigure. Then, removetheshaft (dottedcircle) insidethe
compartment.
6. Pull outthecontrol board as showninbelowfigure:

7. Electroniccontrollerisinsidethecontrol board. Removethe
screw(dottedcircle), release thehookand thebend thesideplate
outtheelectroniccontroller.
