1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Before servicing, unplug the power cord to prevent an electric
shock.
2. When replacing parts, use onlythe manufacturer’srecommended
components.
3. Check the condition of the power cord. Replace ifwear or damage
isevident.
1
4. After servicing, be sure to restore the lead dress, insulation
barriers, insulation papers, shields, etc.
5. Before returning the serviced equipment to the customer, be sure
to make the following insulation resistance test to prevent the
customer from being exposed to shock hazards.
1.2. INSULATIONRESISTANCETEST
1. Unplug the power cord and short the twoprongs of the plug with
ajumper wire.
2. Turn on the power switch.
3. Measure the resistance value with an ohmmeter between the
jumpered AC plug and each exposed metal cabinet part
(screwheads, control shafts, handlebrackets, etc.). / "Note: Some
exposed parts maybe isolated from the chassisbydesign. These
will read infinity.
4. Ifthe measurement isoutside the specified limits, there isa
possibilityof ashock hazard. / The equipment shouldbe repaired
and rechecked before itisreturned to the customer.
Resistance=more than5 M ohm/ (at DC 500V)
1.3. BATTERYCAUTION
CAUTION:
2
Danger of explosion ifbatteryisincorrectlyreplaced. Replace only
with the same or equivalent type recommended bythe
manufacture. Discard used batteries according to following caution:
/
Disposal of lithium batteries shouldbe performed bypermitted,
professional disposal firms knowledgeableinstate government
federal and local hazardous materialsand hazardous waste
transportation and disposal requirements. / Batterycontinues to
have no transportation limitations as long as theyare separated to
prevent short circuits and packed instrong packaging. /
Commercial firms that dispose of anyquantityof lithium cells
shouldhave amechanism inplace to account for theirultimate
disposition. Thisisagood practice for all types of commercial or
industrial waste. /

2.3. EXPLANATIONOFCIRCUITOPERATION
2.3.1. POWER SUPPLY UNIT
1. DC voltage generation circuit:
A. Switching section
The switching frequencyis80kHz. Q1isPWM-controlled byIC1
inorder to regulate the output voltage. Secondaryvoltage
detection isperformed byR113, R114 and VR101, and changes
inthe secondaryvoltage with respect to the base voltage of
Q101 are isolated byphoto coupler PC1and sent to IC1.
B. Secondarycircuit
Atfirst, itproduces +26V DC voltage. And itproduces +5V DC
voltage from voltage drop chopper circuit.
2. Ringing signal output function:
Ringing signal (25Hz, 8Vac from mainboard) isamplified inpower
bypower amplifier circuits (including of IC301, IC304, R301-307,
C301-303 and D301). Ringing signal amplified inpower is
12
transmitted to the ringing transformer through pin7of CN101.
3. AC cut off detection function:
AC power failure isdetected byR31 -R36, R38, D31-34, C31 and
PC2. When AC power ison, pin4of PC4ishigh. When AC power
isturned off, pin4of PC2changes to low.
4. Batteryback up function:
Thisback up batteryadapter circuithas DC supplyfunction, from
battery(+24V) to service unitand DC charge function from service
unitto battery(+24V). Charge current is0.4A.
