■To use TAM (Telephone Answering Machine)
When you leave home, press (

( ) or press ( 1) on the base unit
to turn on the indicator.
(To deactivate, press ( ) or
press on the base unit again to turn off the
indicator.)
When receiving a call while TAM is activated,
it answers the call automatically in Japanese,
and records the incoming messages. Then,
the auto answer indicator starts flashing and
“新しい用件が録音されました ” is displayed.
When you return home, press
( ) to play back the messages. The
answering mode is deactivated.
After playing back the messages, press
twice to erase the messages or press to
keep the messages.
To play back the messages while TAM is
deactivated, press ( )

Preparation before you leave home
Store a remote control number.
Press

Enter the desired 4-digit number. Press

When you leave home, press
( ) or on the base unit.
Then auto answer indicator lights up.
To hear messages
Dial your home phone number. While the
outgoing message is played back, enter your
remote control number. Announcement.
Press 4. You will hear recorded messages if
any.
NOTE
●This operation can be made only from a
touch-tone phone.
●The number after the button shows the location
of the button described in the previous page.
Cordless handset 1
■To make a call
Lift the cordless handset 1 from the base unit
and press (

■To receive a call
When the phone rings, lift the cordless handset
1 from the base unit and press . Talk.
To end the call, place the cordless handset 1 on

■To make a call using the speakerphone
(Hands-free talk)
Lift the cordless handset 1 from the base unit
and press (

Talk to the microphone (

call, place the cordless handset 1 on the base
unit or press .
●Speak clearly about 50 cm away from the
microphone.
●Speak alternately with the other party. The
sound may cut in and out if you both speak at
the same time.
■To receive a call with the speakerphone
(Hands-free talk)
When the phone rings, lift the cordless handset
1 from the base unit and press . Talk to
the microphone. To end the call, place the
cordless handset 1 on the base unit or press
.
■To place the current call on hold
Press ( 9) during a call with the cordless
handset 1.
(You can place the cordless handset 1 on the
base unit.)
■To retrieve the held call
Press .
■To transfer the held call to another cordless
handset
Press during a call. Press
- (Intercom No.). Press when
the other party answers.

When the phone rings, lift the cordless handset 2
from the charger and press . Talk. To
end the call, place the cordless handset 2 on the
charger or press .
■To make a call using the speakerphone
(Hands-free talk)
Press . Dial the phone number. Talk
to the microphone. To end the call, place the
cordless handset 2 on the charger or press .
