If your television does not have Audio/Video terminals, an RF Modulator is necessary

Turn on the television and
select the appropriate
video input to suit the
connections to this unit.
(Select input with your TV’s remote
control. The button could be labeled
“TV/Video”, “Input”, or something
similar.)
Finalize....
After recording, it is necessary to finalize (close) DVD-R, DVD-RW and +R in order to be able to play them on other DVD
players (It is not possible to finalize DVD-RAM).
Press [e, r] to select the
language and press [ENTER].
The unit then proceeds with
Auto Clock Setting. The time
is displayed when finished.
Press [ENTER] to start
Plug-in Auto Tuning.
Press [e,r] to select
“Other Functions” and
press [ENTER].
Press [ENTER].
If you mistakenly select a different language, press and
hold [2CH] and [1CH] on the main unit at the same time
for more than 5 seconds. The setting is reset. Press [^DVD
POWER] and select the language again.
Press [^DVD POWER].
DVD-R DVD-RW +R
While stopped
Press [FUNCTIONS].
•The FUNCTIONS window
 is displayed.
Press [e,r] to select
“DISC MANAGEMENT”
and press [ENTER].
Press [w,q]to select
“ Start ” and
press [ENTER].
A message appears when
finished.
Press [ENTER].
Finalizing is completed. You
can play this disc on other
equipment.
Note
After finalizing
•DVD-R +R
 The disc becomes play-only and you can no longer record or
 edit.
•DVD-RW (DVD-Video format)
 You can record and edit the disc after formatting although it
 becomes play-only after finalizing.
•When finalizing a high-speed recording compatible disc, it may take longer
than displayed on the confirmation screen (approximately four times).
•You cannot finalize DVD-R, DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) or +R
 recorded on other manufacturers’ equipment.
Press [w,q] to select
“ Yes ” and press [ENTER].

the RF IN of this unit, no channels will be found
during the initial setup. Please connect the
appropriate 75 Wcoaxial cable.
If Plug-in Auto Tuning fails, refer to page 11 of the
operating instructions.
