Thank yo for choosing a Panasonic shaver ES-LF71. With
o r WET/DRY technology, yo can enjoy sing yo r
Panasonic shaver dry or in the shower or bath for gentle
and easy shaving. Please read all instr ctions before se.
Important
This shaver has a b ilt-in rechargeable battery. Do not throw into
fire, apply heat, or charge, se, or leave in a high temperat re
environment.
► Before se
This WET/DRY shaver can be sed for wet shaving sing
shaving lather or for dry shaving. Yo can se this watertight
shaver in the shower and clean with water. The following symbol
means s itable for se in a bath or shower.

Treat yo rself to wet lather shaves for at least three weeks and
notice the difference. Yo r Panasonic WET/DRY shaver req ires
a little time to get sed to beca se yo r skin and beard need
abo t a month to adj st to any new shaving method.
► Using the shaver
Caution
The o ter foil is very thin and can be damaged if not sed
correctly. Check that the foil is not damaged before sing
the shaver. Do not se the shaver if the foil is damaged as
yo will c t yo r skin.
■ Terminate the sage when there is an abnormality or fail re.
■ Do not share yo r shaver with yo r family or other people.
Doing so may res lt in infection or inflammation.
• This appliance is not intended for se by persons (incl ding
children) with red ced physical, sensory or mental capabilities,
or lack of experience and knowledge, nless they have been
given s pervision or instr ction concerning se of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children
sho ld be s pervised to ens re that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Persons sing an implanted medical electronic device, s ch as
a pacemaker, sho ld not allow this nit to to ch the skin where
the medical electronic device is implanted beca se this may
ca se a malf nction.
► Charging the shaver
• Never se the AC adaptor in the bathroom or shower room.
• Do not se any power cord or AC adaptor other than the AC
adaptor (RE7-59).
• Pl g in the AC adaptor into a ho sehold o tlet where there is
no moist re and handle it with dry hands.
• Hold the AC adaptor when disconnecting it from the ho sehold
o tlet. If yo t g on the power cord, yo may damage it.
• The s pply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged,
the AC adaptor sho ld be scrapped.
► Cleaning the shaver
Warning
Disconnect the power cord from the shaver before
cleaning it in water to prevent electric shock.
• Keep both the inner blades inserted. If only one of the inner
blades is inserted, the shaver may be damaged.
• If yo clean the shaver with water, do not se salt water or hot
water. Do not soak the shaver in water for a long period of
time.
• Clean the ho sing only with a soft cloth slightly dampened
with tap water or soapy tap water. Do not se thinner, benzine,
alcohol or other chemicals.

► Storing the shaver
• Store the shaver in a place with low h midity after se.
• Do not store the shaver where it will be exposed to direct
s nlight or other heat so rces.
• Disconnect the power cord when storing the shaver.
• Do not bend the power cord or wrap it aro nd the shaver.
• Keep the oil away from children.
► Self-cleaning recharger
• Do not clean the AC adaptor or the self-cleaning recharger in
water as it will damage them or ca se an electric shock.
• Do not remove the shaver from the self-cleaning recharger
while sing a co rse that incl des the “Dry” f nction. A heater
is sed so the area aro nd the blades becomes extremely hot
and yo may b rn yo rself.
• Place the self-cleaning recharger on a level and stable s rface.
Otherwise the cleaning liq id may spill and discolor leather
prod cts or other s rfaces. Wipe p spills immediately.
• The self-cleaning recharger cleans the inner blades and the
system o ter foil. Br sh or wash with water to remove beard
trimmings in other areas.
• Use the self-cleaning recharger in h midity less than 95%.
• Depending on the environment, the shaver may not dry even if
yo select a co rse that incl des the “Dry” f nction. In this
case, wipe off any drops of water with a dry cloth.

Using the lock ring
Use the lock ring to lock or nlock the power switch.
Rotate the lock ring ntil it clicks.
Rotate the lock ring to “o” to nlock the power
switch:
"'*■* For when shaving, washing the shaver, l bricating
the shaver.
Rotate the lock ring to “0 ” to lock the power
switch:
"•i^e For when carrying the shaver.

Charge
Charging using the self-cleaning recharger
Thoro ghly wipe off any drops of water on or aro nd the self
cleaning recharger so that it is dry before charging the shaver.
1 Insert the appliance plug into
the self-cleaning recharger.
2 Remove the protective cap and
then attach the shaver.
3 Plug in the AC adaptor into a
household outlet.
• The “Charge” co rse starts when attaching the shaver.
• T rn the shaver off before attaching.
• Check that the o ter foil is not deformed or damaged when yo
are attaching the shaver.
• Wipe off any water droplets on the main body rear terminal.
• Yo can charge even with the STATUS lamp of the self-cleaning
recharger blinking.
• Charging is completed after approx. 1 ho r.
Yo can keep the shaver attached to the self-cleaning recharger,
or connected to the AC adaptor, when not sing it to maintain f ll
battery capacity. Yo cannot overcharge the shaver.
Charging without the self-cleaning recharger
Yo can also charge witho t the self-cleaning recharger.
1 Insert the appliance plug into the

Yo cannot operate the shaver while charging.

• After charging is completed, t rning the power switch ON with
the shaver pl gged in will ca se all the lamps to light p and then
t rn off after 5 seconds. This shows that the shaver is f lly
charged.
• Recommended ambient temperat re for charging is 5-35 °C. The
battery may not charge properly or at all nder extreme low or
high temperat res.
The charge stat s lamp (♦ ) will blink when there is a problem
with charging.
• When charging the shaver for the first time or when it has not
been in se for more than 6 months, the charge stat s lamp (v )
may not glow. It will event ally glow if kept connected.
