•Remove the PanicGO button from its plastic bag and from its carry clip.
•Switch on your Android mobile and make sure it is connected to wifi or mobile

Technical Background
The PanicGO Solo app works on modern smartphones – but only those running
Android 5.0 (KitKat) or greater up to and including Android 11, and that also have
Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity or greater. Solo does not work on iOS (Apple) or other
mobile phone systems.
The app works with a paired PanicGO Bluetooth button to provide discreet location
logging and alarm raising. This button should already have been supplied to you when
you registered as a PanicGO subscriber. If you have not received your button, or if you
The system utilises the phone's inbuilt GPS and Wi-Fi systems to provide an enhanced
location tracking. The app works silently in the background, and is always there when
you need it but never intrusive. It is important to ensure that all Solo users’ phones
have Bluetooth 4.0 or greater and have at least Android 5.0 and that they have not
blocked Caller ID on their phone, otherwise the system will not function.
When you made your first test call to the Careline, you will have seen that, without
touching the phone, a minimum volume outgoing call was activated to the Careline.
At the same time, our monitoring server provides your location and personal details to
the Careline.
time to solve any problems you may have encountered.
Your Careline subscription lasts for 12 months from the date of purchase, and we will
contact you towards the end of that year to arrange a renewal.

PanicGO Solo User Instructions
Open up the PanicGO app on your mobile
device. The first time you do this, or any time you
have previously been logged out, you will be
presented with a login screen.
Once logged in you will be presented with the
home screen. This is the starting point for all
actions within the app and the screen you will be
returned to once you have completed any
action.
We have kept this Home Screen simple and
there are only three buttons you can press: the
Settings tab (the three vertical dots in the top
right corner), the Help button and the PING
toggle.
If this is your first time using the app you will
need to click on the Settings tab. You will be
presented with three options:
A. Logging in to the PanicGO app
B. Pairing the Bluetooth button with the PanicGO app
This should only need to be done when first setting up the system, after changing a
battery, if you log out of the PanicGO Solo app, or if there is disruption between the app and
the Bluetooth button and they disconnect.
If you need to pair the button to the app after logging in, you should click the setting tab
and select ‘Pair Button’ and then click ‘Scan’. You will then need to press and hold the
Button for 6-8 seconds.
An orange light glows indicating it is in pairing mode. It will then run a scan for the Blue-
tooth button which will be shown on in a list and will automatically pair with that button
which will glow green, at which point you can release the button hold.
This section onwards provides relevant information to users of the app.
Please note, for the app to function Bluetooth and Location must be turned on at all times. For the system to function
properly the phone should be in the same room as the button at all times so the call centre can understand the
nature of the alert and provide greater assistance through the open voice call.

Select ‘Update Profile’ and you are taken to a screen with
the following tabs:
Personal Details
Work Address
Car
Contact 1, 2 and 3
Filling in the data fields about yourself under these tabs
provides the Careline call centre with the information
they require should you raise an alarm in the future.
Please do take the time to fill in these details when you
first set up the app to ensure the Careline can best serve
you. Once input, they only need to be updated if your
details change.
When you have entered all the details click the ‘Save’
button to save the details onto the system and return to
the Home Screen.
C. Updating your profile
D. Logging out
Logout should only be selected from the Settings tab if you no longer require the function-
ality and protection that PanicGO offers, for example if you are in a safe place such as at
home. Logging out will not delete your details in the Back Office system. On pressing
‘Logout’ you are required to enter the confirmation code. If you do not enter it correctly you
will not be logged out of the app.
The confirmation code is your 6 digit date of birth (DDMMYY). When you enter the correct
code you are returned to the login screen, where you can login again when you need to.
E. Closing the app
To close the app but not logout, press the app switcher icon on your phone screen - some-
times a square at the bottom right, or three horizontal lines at the bottom left of the screen,
but can vary depending on your version of Android. Swipe the app and this will close it as
an active app but still allow it to work in the background in case you need to log a location
or raise an alert through the Bluetooth button.
Please note, If you have gone into this screen by accident you can press the back arrow in the top left corner to return
to the Home Screen. If you do this and there are changes that you have not saved, you will be given the option to save
them. Click "YES" - or if it was an error, click "NO" and you will be returned to the Home Screen.

In a situation where you need to raise an alert, you don’t
have time to think about details and so we have made
raising an alert simple. There are two ways to raise an
alert:
•There is a Help button on the Home Screen. One
press of this button raises an alert.
•Alternatively you can press and hold the
Bluetooth button for 2 seconds which opens up the call
screen on the app. This will happen whenever you are
logged into the app and the PanicGO button is
connected, even if the app is not open on your phone.
On raising an alert, a call will automatically be made to
the Careline call centre number, meaning you never
need to enter or remember the number.
When the alert has been raised, a vibration occurs to
indicate that a call has been raised to the Careline. The
call is then activated on minimum volume which allows
the Careline to listen to the situation and react accord-
ingly, without people nearby being aware that a call has
been activated.
When the Careline opens the call they will send a signal
to your phone which results in a single long vibration
(subject to individual phone settings) which lets you
know discreetly that they are listening to the situation.
If you are not in a position to speak, or you require
assistance, the Careline will then support you, follow
their agreed procedures and respond accordingly. They
have your personal details so they know who is calling
and they know your GPS location at the time of the call.

G. Logging your location
H. PING Location Tracking
E.Closing the app
To log your location, make a single press of your Bluetooth button. This sends details from
the mobile phone's GPS unit to the Back Office and can subsequently be read by the
Careline if necessary.
The system is set to report your location on an agreed timescale, which is pre-set at every
15 minutes. A location log will be recorded on your client file on the Back Office.
Your location is recorded every time your phone is turned on and you are logged into the
app. This means that you do not have to continually manually log your location but the
option is there if you would like to.
PanicGO contains the function to create a PING location
tracking session where your device location will be logged
once every minute for 30 minutes (or less if you decide to
end the PING session sooner).
To start a PING session you must click the grey PING toggle
on the home screen of the PanicGO Solo app. A pop-up will
appear asking if you are sure you want to enable the PING
location tracking. Clicking ‘Cancel PING’ will cancel the
session and your device location will not be tracked every
minute. Clicking ‘Ok’ will start the PING session, and your
device location will be tracked every minute.
Clicking ‘Copy URL to clipboard’ will copy the URL and allow
you to paste it into any third-party messaging app
available on your device.
Using your third-party app you can send a typed message
or a voice recorded message (if your chosen app has this
functionality) to explain where you are, what you’re doing,
and how long you’ll be. The tracking page refreshes every 30
seconds so the device location will be always be as
accurate as possible.
A new pop-up will appear
giving details of how long your
PING session will be active for,
and also showing a unique URL
that can be used to view your
device location as it is updated
each minute.
6

To end your PING session before the 30 minutes expiration
simply click the PING toggle (which should now be coloured
red) on the PanicGO Home screen, and click ’Close PING
tracking’. Alternatively, you can double click the Bluetooth
button to end the session.
The PING session will end and the tracking URL will display
your last known device location at the time the PING session
ended. This location will be visible to anyone with access to
the tracking URL for 60 minutes, at which point the URL will
expire and will not show any location details.
Battery
The battery level of the Bluetooth Button is monitored to ensure it remains at
an appropriate level to function as intended. This is shown as an icon on the
Home Screen of the PanicGO Solo app. We expect the battery life to be up to
18 months but due to the importance of ensuring the button is always
working, for safety reasons, we recommend that the batteries are changed
annually.
When the button needs replacing you simply remove the outer silicone
casing, Use a small pair of scissors and place the pointy ends in the two
cavities of the rear of the hatch, and twist counter clockwise. You will hear a
small click.
Then carefully remove the CR2032 3V coin cell battery and replace with a
new battery, making sure the small metal piece goes over the battery. This
holds the battery in place. Finally, turn the button over and line it up with the
ridges on the back plate and rotate to the right until it clicks.
