Sensors in “Camera Features”.
Sensors
Auto-DCC
Auto-DCC stands for Automatic Depth-Controlled Color Correction. It is
a digital version of a color filter, usually made from plastic and placed in
front of your camera lens, to remove the green or blue tint in your videos
and photos.
The Auto-DCC is controlled by the pressure sensor. Every second it
adjusts the intensity of the color correction to match your diving depth.
It cannot add colors that are not present, but it can make better use of
the colors there.
The Auto-DCC will give you the best results from 0 to 25 meters. After 25
meters, most of the colors are absorbed by the water. Below 25 meters,
you need a dive light to bring back the colors.
Learn how to turn the Auto DCC on and off in “Camera Features”.
Here you see the different colors of light and the depth at which they get absorbed.

Photo taken with Auto-DCC on.
Why use Auto-DCC?
When using Auto-DCC, instead of a plastic color filter, the footage will
have more vivid and realistic colors and delivers sharper and brighter
images and videos.

11
IMPORTANT: Do not use dive lights together with the
Auto-DCC – this will discolor the image.
To toggle between the WB (when diving with artificial light) and the
Auto-DCC (when diving without artificial light), pull the Activation Switch
back three times with the Selector Ring in Power Mode. The display will
show which mode is active. You will also see which mode is active on the
standby screen.
How to activate WB?
White Balance (WB) adjusts the color temperature. Color temperature is
measured in Kelvin (K). It ranges from a warm orange glow (1500K) to the
light on a clear day with a blue sky (10.000K).
What is White Balance?
2700K 3000K 3500K 4100K 5000K 7500K 10000K
IMPORTANT: For the best results, use the WB only when you
dive with artificial light.
How to activate Auto-DCC?
Toggle Auto-DCC on/off by pulling the Activation Switch back three times
while in Power Mode.

Use the included USB-C cable for charging. Charge the camera through
your computer or use a wall charger – preferably a 2.1 A USB power
adapter.
Charging The Battery
WARNING: Do not use the camera or the battery if it has been
damaged – such as cracked or punctured. Disassembling or punc-
turing the battery can cause an explosion or fire. Do not store the
camera where prolonged exposure to extreme temperatures can
occur because it can cause permanent damage. Do not dry the
camera or battery with an
external heat source such as a microwave oven or hairdryer.
Do not store your battery with metal objects. If the battery termi-
nals come in contact with metal objects, the battery may “short
out” and cause a fire. Do not attempt to remove or change the
battery.
Charging Time
It will take approximitly 3hrs for a full charge when using a 2.1A USB-wall
charger and if the camera is turned off.

19
The battery time is affected by temperature, battery state, and charge
level. The following time are maximum times in optimal conditions.
Battery Life Time
If you plan to dive in very cold or even icy water, you must turn on
the camera ca. 15 minutes before your dive. A cold battery can
influence the image and video quality.

20
Make sure always to have the latest firmware installed on the camera.
Update firmware through the Paralenz App or manually download the
latest update from our website.
Software Updates
Manual Software Update
To update the software manually, follow these steps:
1. Download the latest firmware for your camera from www.paralenz.com.
2. Copy the file ending with .plf onto the root of an empty SD-card (not in
a folder).
3. Make sure the battery has at least 50% power left or is connected
to power. This is essential. You risk breaking your camera if this is not
followed.
4. Insert the SD-card into the slot when the camera is on, or turn the
camera on while the SD-card with the firmware is inserted.
Setting GPS
Before every dive, you should enable the GPS function.
To do so, turn the Selector Ring to “Location”. Let the camera connect to
the next satellite and wait until it determines your current GPS location.
The display will show “finding location” while searching for your GPS.
Once your location is defined, you will see the exact coordinates.
