WARNING: To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, or injury:
1. DO NOT USE THIS VACUUM FOR PICK UP OF WET DEBRIS.
2. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
3. Donotallowtobeusedasatoy.Closeaenonisnecessarywhenusedbyornearchildren.
4. Youmustbetrainedtooperatethismachine.Operatethismachineforitsintendeduseonly.

10.Ifthemachineisnotworkingasitshould,hasbeendropped,damaged,leoutdoors,ordroppedinto
water,bringittoaservicecenter.
11.Connecttoaproperlygroundedoutletonly(SeeGroundingInstrucons).
12.Topreventelectricshock,alwaysremovetheelectricalplugfromtheelectricaloutletbeforedoingany
repairsormaintenanceandwhenleavingthemachineunaended.Donothandleplugorvacuum
withwethands.
13.Donotpullcord,usecordasahandle,closeadooroncord,orpullcordaroundsharpedgesorcorners.
Keepcordawayfromheatedsurfaces.Donotusewithdamagedcordorplug.
14.Turnoallcontrolsbeforeunplugging.
15.Donotputobjectsintoopenings.Donotusewithanyopeningblocked:keepfreeofdust,lint,hair
andanythingthatmayreduceairow.
16.Keephair,looseclothing,ngersandallpartsofthebodyawayfromopeningsandmovingparts.
17.Makesurealllabels,decals,warnings,cauonsandinstruconsarefastenedtothemachine.

Grounding Instructions
NOTE: Do not use adapters shown in gures B & C in Canada

Thismachinemustbegrounded.Ifitshouldmalfunconorbreakdown,
groundingprovidesapathofleastresistanceforelectriccurrenttoreduce
theriskofelectricshock.Thismachineisequippedwithacordhavingan
equipment-groundingconductorandgroundingplug.Theplugmustbe
insertedintoanappropriateoutletthatisproperlyinstalledandgrounded
inaccordancewithalllocalcodesandordinances.
WARNING-Improperconneconoftheequipment-groundingconductor
canresultinariskofelectricshock.Checkwithaqualiedelectricianor
servicepersonif youareindoubtastowhethertheoutletisproperly
grounded.Donotmodifytheplugprovidedwiththemachine.Ifitwill
notttheoutlet,haveaproperoutletinstalledbyaqualiedelectrician.
Thismachineisforuseonanominal120-voltcircuit,andhasagrounded
plugthatlooksliketheplugillustratedingureA.Atemporaryadapter
thatlooksliketheadapterillustratedinguresBandCmaybeusedto
connectthisplugtoa2-polereceptacleasshowningureBifaproperly
groundedoutletisnotavailable.Thetemporaryadaptershouldbeused
onlyunlaproperlygroundedoutlet(gureA)canbeinstalledbyaquali-
edelectrician.Thegreencoloredrigidear,lug,orthelikeextendingfrom
theadaptermustbeconnectedtoapermanentgroundsuchasaproperly
groundedoutletboxcover.Whenevertheadapterisused,itmustbeheld
in place by a metal screw.
NOTE: In Canada, the use of a temporary adapter is not permied by the
Canadian Electrical Code.
EXTENSION CORDS
Useonlythree-wire14/3orlargergaugeapprovedextensioncordsthat
havethree-pronggroundingtypeplugsandthree-polereceptaclesthat
accepttheappliance’splug.Replaceorrepairanydamagedcordsorplugs.
Whenservicing,refertoauthorizedpersononly.Useonlyidencalre-

OPERATING PROCEDURES
WARNING! For the safe operaon of this machine follow the instrucons given in this booklet and the training given by
your supervisor. Failure to do so can result in personal injury and/or damage to machine and property!
DO NOT OPERATE MACHINE IN AN EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENT!
NEVER USE THIS MACHINE TO PICK UP VOLATILE OR EXPLOSIVE MATERIALS!
Themodelshowninthismanualisintendedforcommercialuse.
PREPARATION
Topreparethemachineforoperaon,makesureitisofcorrectvoltageandproperlyassembled.Ifindoubt,askyoursupervisor.
1. Ifthevacuumisinitsuprightposion(page6), raise the handle while supporng the vacuum, then slowly lower the
vacuum to the oor.
2. Properly install the lter bag in the vacuum: Lithecoverfromthemachine.Thelterbaginletisdesignedwitharubber
gasketthattssecurelyoverthebagadapter(page7)inthecover.Firstpushthelterbaginletovertheadapteronthe
cover.Thenfromtheoutsideofthecoverreachinsidetheadapterandpushthegasketontherestoftheway.Replace
thelterbagwhenfull.
OPERATION
1. Plug the machine’s power cable into a properly grounded outlet(seeGroundingInstrucons).
2. The foot pedal should be raised to the “BRUSH”posion(page8)forwideareavacuuming.
3. Adjust the brush height withtheleverlocatedontherearofthemachineneartheoor(page8).
4. Turn the vacuum switch ON (rockerswitchonoperator’sright,page7).
5. Turn the brush switch ON (rockerswitchonoperator’sle,page7)and begin vacuuming.
OPERATION WITH TOOLS
Threeon-boardtoolsareavailableforthevacuum:thedusngtool,crevicetoolandturbotool(page6).Twenty(20)feetof
hoseisprovidedwhichallowsaccesstoroomswithoutmovingthemachine.
1. The brush and vacuum switches should be turned OFF.
2. Depress the foot pedal to the “ACCESSORY” posion.
3. Remove the rigid poron of the accessory hose fromitsstorageareainthehandleandaach the tool of choice.
4. Turn the vacuum switch ON and begin.
Note:ThevacuumswitchshouldbeOFFwhenswitchingthefootpedalbetweentheaccessoryandthebrushposions.
MAINTENANCE
ALWAYS turn the brush and vacuum motor switches OFF and UNPLUG the power cord from the electrical outlet before doing
any clean-up or repairs, and when the machine is le unaended.
AFTER EACH USE:
1. Vacuum lter bag: Ifthebagisfullordamagedinstallanewone.

2. Power cord and plug:Checkforcutsornicks;ifdamaged,havethecordreplacedatafactoryauthorizedservicecenter.
3. Casters and Wheels:Removeanystringsordebristhatmayrestrictthefreemovementofthecasters.
4. Tools:Inspectthetoolstoensurethereisnoobstruconofairow.Removeanydebrisfound.
5. Brush:Removeanystringsordebris.Replaceifbecomeswornordamaged.
Storage: Thehandlemaybefoldeddownandthemachinestoreduprighttoreducestoragespacerequirements.Storethe
machineinacleandryarea.

MAINTENANCE
WEEKLY:
1. Inspect and clean the two vacuum inlet lters.Removethecoverfromthemachine.Theltersarenowaccessible(see
page10).Theyareconstructedoffoamaachedtoaplascmounngring.Slidetheltersoandcleanbyshakingor
vacuuming.Replaceifthereareanyrips,tearsorcan’tbecleaned.
2. Inspect and clean the exhaust lter.Itislocatedunderthehandleonthetopofthemachine(seepage8).Removethe
lterandcleanbyshaking,vacuumingorwashingwithwater.Replaceifthereareanyrips,tearsorifitcan’tbecleaned.
VACUUM MOTOR MAINTENANCE:
Havethevacuummotorsinspectedannuallybyafactoryauthorizedservicetechnician.Ifthecarbonbrushesareworn,they
shouldbereplaced.Thisservicewillprolongthelifeofthemotor.
