1.0 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing Parkmate's RVK-50W Reverse Camera Kit. We are certain that our product will give
you trouble-free operation while providing you with a safety feature that enhances your driving experience.
Our products, like most after-market safety enhanced devices, are designed to assist and aid the driver, not to
replace the manual function of the person operating the vehicle.
DISCLAIMER
Parkmate's RVK-50W Reverse Camera Kit is designed as a driver assistance device. Although this is a visual
aid and will allow you to view what is behind the vehicle, it does not remove the responsibility of driving the
vehicle from the driver. The legal responsibility and safe driving practice remains with the driver at all times.You
have purchased this product with the understanding that its use is as an aid only.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
• Please read this manual carefully before using the product.
• This unit is for vehicles with 12/24V DC only.
• 12/24V IGN/ACC Power wiring connections MUST be made to a 12/24V ignition feed. (Refer to Wiring
Diagram).
• Route wiring harness away from heat sources and electrical components.
• Wire connection points should be insulated.
• Please install this unit in a professional manner.
• Please perform tests after nishing the installation.

NOTES:
• For CANBUS vehicles a CANBUS lter should be used to lter noise and icker on the screen. (Not
supplied)
• Please check the specications of your vehicle to conrm whether it has a CANBUS system.
3. Some cars that run LED or computer controlled lighting systems may not deliver enough voltage to run the
camera. If the voltage at the reversing wire light is less than +12 volts it may be necessary to use a relay to
supply power to the transmitter harness from the wiring in the front of the car. In this case the reversing light
only needs to trigger the relay. Make sure that you do not drill holes in the panels that have an opposite face
that is visible outside the car, for example guard panels.
4. Connect the black wire to a ground earth wire or to the body of the car using the steel of the car body
behind the kick trim as an earth. In this case drill a small hole and connect the wire using a suitable ring
terminal. Scrape off paint around the hole to ensure good earth.

3.4 MIRROR IMAGE BUTTON
Pressing the Mirror Image Button will rotate the image left, right, up and down to match the camera orientation
(depending on how you mount the camera).
3.5 PAIRING /GUIDELINE SWITCH BUTTON
Hold the Pairing /Guideline Switch Button for 3 seconds to enter camera pairing mode, the screen will display as
shown below.
After the camera and monitor have been successfully paired, press the button once to switch ON/OFF reversing
guidelines on the screen. An image with Guidelines is shown as in the picture below.

8.0 WARRANTY TERMS & CONDITIONS
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian & New Zealand Consumer
Law.You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other
reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the
goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This warranty is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian & New Zealand Consumer Law.
Directed Electronics Australia Pty Ltd (Directed Electronics) warrants that this product is free from defects
in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase or for the period stated
on the packaging. This warranty is only valid where you have used the product in accordance with any
recommendations or instructions provided by Directed Electronics.
This warranty excludes defects resulting from alterations of the product, accident, misuse, abuse or neglect.
In order to claim the warranty, you must return the product to the retailer from which it was purchased
or if that retailer is part of a National network, a store within that chain, along with satisfactory proof of
purchase. The retailer will then return the goods to Directed Electronics. Directed Electronics will repair,
replace or refurbish the product at its discretion. The retailer will contact you when the product is ready for
collection. All costs involved in claiming this warranty, including the cost of the retailer sending the product
to Directed Electronics, will be borne by you.

AND AFFILIATES FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, PROCEEDINGS, INJURIES,
LIABILITIES, LOSSES, COSTS AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE LEGAL FEES),
INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, CLAIMS ALLEGING NEGLIGENCE, INVASION OF PRIVACY,
COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT AND/OR TRADEMARK INFRINGEMENT AGAINST PARKMATE AND ITS
SUBSIDIARIES AND AFFILIATES OR THE PARKMATE SERVICES, RELATING TO OR ARISING OUT
OF YOUR BREACH OF ANY PROVISION OF THESE TERMS, YOUR MISUSE OF THE PARKMATE OR
PARKMATE SERVICES, OR YOUR UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATION OR ALTERATION OF PRODUCTS
OR SOFTWARE.

PARKMATE HAS A LIMITED WARRANTY ON WHEREBY PARKMATE WARRANTS TO YOU AND ONLY
TO YOU THAT THE PARKMATE VEHICLE DASH CAMERAS, MIRROR DASH CAMERAS, FRONT, REAR
AND REVERSING CAMERAS AND MIRROR MONITOR DEVICES WILL BE FREE FROM DEFECTS
IN MATERIALS AND WORKMANSHIP FOR ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF YOUR PURCHASE
OF THE PARKMATE VEHICLE DASH CAMERAS, MIRROR DASH CAMERAS, FRONT, REAR AND
REVERSING CAMERAS AND MIRROR MONITOR DEVICES (UNLESS A LONGER WARRANTY
PERIOD IS REQUIRED BY LAW).

WITH INSURANCE OF ANY TYPE. ANY AMOUNTS THAT YOU PAY PARKMATE FOR THE PARKMATE
SERVICE ARE NOT INSURANCE PREMIUMS AND ARE NOT RELATED TO THE VALUE OF YOUR
VEHICLE OR PROPERTY, ANYONE ELSE’S PROPERTY LOCATED IN YOUR VEHICLE OR PREMISES,
OR ANY RISK OF LOSS IN YOUR VEHICLE OR AT YOUR PREMISES. IF YOU WANT INSURANCE TO
PROTECT AGAINST ANY RISK OF LOSS AT YOUR VEHICLE OR PREMISES, YOU WILL PURCHASE
IT. IN THE EVENT OF ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY, YOU WILL NOT LOOK TO PARKMATE TO
COMPENSATE YOU OR ANYONE ELSE. YOU RELEASE AND WAIVE FOR YOURSELF AND YOUR
INSURER ALL SUBROGATION AND OTHER RIGHTS TO RECOVER AGAINST PARKMATE ARISING AS
A RESULT OF THE PAYMENT OF ANY CLAIM FOR LOSS, DAMAGE OR INJURY.
