Intended use
The battery adapter can be used as a charging station or
power source via the two USB ports (only in conjunction with
a battery from the X 20 V Team series). The appliance is also
suitable for inductive charging of Qi-compatible smart-
phones. The battery adapter is not suitable for lighting rooms
in houses.
Any other use or modification of the appliance is deemed to
be improper and carries a significant risk of accidents. The
manufacturer accepts no responsibility for damage(s)
resulting from improper usage. This appliance is intended
for domestic use only.
Symbols on the appliance
Read the operating instructions before use.
The Qi symbol indicates that the technology
used enables wireless charging. Compatible
devices are detected automatically and pro-
vided with the correct charging current.

► The operating instructions are an integral part of this
appliance. They contain important information about
safety, usage and disposal. Before using the appli-
ance, please familiarise yourself with all operating
and safety instructions. Use this appliance only as
described and for the areas of applications specified.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe place and
hand over all documents when passing the appliance
on to any future owner.
Basic safety instructions
To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
■ Check the appliance for visible external damage before
use. Do not operate an appliance that has been dam-
aged or dropped.
■ This appliance may be used by children aged 8years
and above and by persons with limited physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowl-
edge, provided that they are under supervision or have
been told how to use the appliance safely and are

aware of the potential risks. Do not allow children to use
the appliance as a toy. Cleaning and user maintenance
tasks may not be carried out by children unless they are
supervised.
■ DANGER! Do not allow children to play with the
packaging material! Keep all packaging materials
away from children. There is a risk of suffocation!
■ The appliance should only be repaired by authorised
specialist personnel or the customer service department.
Improper repairs can result in hazards for the user. It will
also invalidate any warranty claims.
■ Do not make any unauthorised modifications or altera-
tions to the appliance.
■ Never open the appliance housing. There are no parts
inside the appliance that require user maintenance. In
addition, this will invalidate the warranty.
■ Do not expose the appliance to water spray or dripping
water, and do not place liquid-filled objects such as
vases or open drink containers on or near the appliance.
■ Keep the appliance away from open flames
(e.g.candles) at all times.

■ The appliance is not designed for use in rooms with
high temperatures or humidity (e.g. bathrooms) or
where there is excessive dust.
■ Never expose the appliance to extreme heat.
■ Do not use the appliance immediately after moving it
from a cold room to a warm room. Always allow the
appliance to acclimatise before turning it on.
■ Do not cover the appliance during operation.
■ Make sure there are no metallic objects between the
charging pad and mobile phone during operation.
Metal components, such as coins, keys, or even credit
cards or NFC cards, could cause the appliance to
overheat.
■ If you want to charge your mobile phone, make sure
that the phone case does not contain any metal plate.
Metal components could cause the appliance to over-
heat.
■ Also refer to the operating instructions for your mobile
phone.

Notes on the radio interface
■ CAUTION! Radio interference! Never use the
product in aircraft, hospitals, operating rooms or near
medical electronic systems. The transmitted wireless
signals could have an impact on the
functionality of sensitive electrical equipment.
■ WARNING! Keep the product at least 20cm
away from pacemakers or implanted cardioverter
defibrillators, as electromagnetic radiation can affect
the functioning of pacemakers or defibrillators.
■ The transmitted radio waves may cause noise
interference in hearing aids.
■ Never use the product in the vicinity of flammable gases
or in potentially explosive environments (e.g.paint
shops), as the transmitted radio waves can trigger
explosions or fires.
■ Kompernass Handels GmbH is not responsible for
interference with radio and television equipment caused
as a result of unauthorised modification of the product.
Furthermore, Kompernass Handels GmbH accepts no
liability for the use or replacement of cables that are not
sold by Kompernass Handels GmbH.

■ The user of this product is solely responsible for rectify-
ing faults caused by unauthorised modifications to the
product as well as the replacement of such modified
products.
Personal safety
■ Do not aim the light beam of the LED into the eyes of
people or animals.
This could be harmful to the eyes.
The battery adapter is not suitable for lighting
rooms in houses.
ATTENTION! Do not stare into the shining
light. This product may emit dangerous optical
radiation.
Getting started
♦ Slide the battery adapter 3onto a charged
battery 4. It clicks into place audibly.

LED light
NOTE
► You can use the LED light as an additional light
source to illuminate small, dim areas. The LED light
may only be used as supplemental lighting.
Switching on
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch 6to activate the
battery adapter 3. The indicator LED 7lights up.
♦ Press the On/Off switch a second time to turn
on the LED light 1.
Switching off
♦ Hold down the ON/OFF switch 6.
The indicator LED 7goes out after a short time.

Charging/operating a USB device
NOTE
► If only a small amount of current (< 130 mA) is
drawn, the battery adapter will switch itself off after
a short time. The charging or operation of such a
device is therefore not possible.
♦ Connect your USB device to the USB port 8
of the battery adapter 3.
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch 6to activate the battery
adapter 3. The indicator LED 7lights up continuously
to indicate the supply of power. Your device can now
be charged or operated on the battery adapter 3.
♦ To turn off the USB port 8, press the ON/OFF
switch6again for around two seconds.
The indicator LED 7goes out after a short time.
♦ If you are no longer using or charging your device,
disconnect it from the battery adapter 3.

Inductive charging
♦ Press the ON/OFF switch 6to activate the
battery adapter 3. The indicator LED 7lights up.
♦ Place the smartphone on the induction charging sur-
face2. The charging process begins automatically.
♦ Press the On/Off switch a second time to turn on the
LED light 1.
NOTE
► If the charging process does not start, remove the
protective cover from the smartphone or lay it with its
back side on the induction charging surface2.

Disposal
Applies only to France
The product, its packaging and the operating instructions
are recyclable. They are subject to an extended manufac-
turer responsibility and will be collected separately.

Do not dispose of power tools in the
normal domestic waste!
The adjacent symbol of a crossed-out wheelie
bin means that this appliance is subject to Direc-
tive 2012/19/EU. This directive states that this
appliance may not be disposed of in the normal household
waste at the end of its useful life, but must be handed over
to specially set-up collection locations, recycling depots or
disposal companies. This disposal is free of charge for
the user. Protect the environment and dispose of this
tool properly.
Your local community or municipal authorities
can provide information on how to dispose of
the worn-out product.
The
packaging is made from environmentally
friendly material which can be disposed of at
your local recycling plant.
