SG-8 Threadless Saw Guide for
Carbon Composite Forks
Designed to accommodate wider saw blades used
specifically for cutting carbon composite tubes,
the SG-8 ensures a straight, clean cut on 1”, 1-1/8”
and 1-1/4” threadless forks.
Instructions:
1. Carefully mark location of fork to be cut.
2. Slide SG-8 onto fork until mark is visible
through slot. Tighten handle (ref. #10) with
moderate finger pressure. Excessive pressure
may strip threads in SG-8 and damage fork.
3. Clamp guide plate (ref. #6) into bench vise.
4. Set blade of hack saw in slot of SG-8 and saw
through fork. Do not apply excessive pressure
on the blade. Keep hacksaw traveling straight
down the slot.
5. Remove fork and finish cut end with
fine sandpaper.

Die SG-8 sorgt mit ihrer weiteren Schlitzaufnahme
für Carbon-Sägeblätter für die exakte Führung
beim Kürzen von gewindelosen Gabelschäften mit
1”, 1-1/8” und 1-1/4” Durchmesser.
Anleitung:
1. Markieren Sie den Gabelschaft deutlich an der
zu kürzenden Stelle.
2. Schieben Sie die SG-8 wie abgebildet auf den
Gabelschaft bis die Markierung im Schlitz zu
sehen ist. Drehen Sie den Spindelgriff (ref. #10)
mit mäßiger Kraft fest. Zu starker Druck kann
Spindelgewinde und Gabelschaft beschädigen.
3. Klemmen Sie die Führungsplatte (ref. #6)
am überstehenden Ende in einem
Schraubstock fest.
4. Setzen Sie das Carbonsägeblatt in den Schlitz
und sägen Sie den Gabelschaft ohne großen
Anpressdruck durch.
5. Entfernen Sie die Gabel und entgraten Sie
den Gabelschaft von innen und außen mit
feinem Sandpapier.
SG-8 Guide de Sciage non Fileté
pour Pivot de Fourche Carbone
Conçu pour recevoir les lames de scie plus larges,
utilisées spécialement pour couper les tubes
en carbone, le SG-8 assure une coupe nette et
précise sur les pivots de fourches non filetés de
1”, 1-1/8” et 1-1/4”.
Mode d Emploie:
1. Marquer délicatement la fourche à l’endroit
désiré pour la coupe.
2. Glisser le SG-8 sur le tube jusqu’à ce que
la marque soit visible à travers la fente
de guidage. Serrer la poignée (Ref. #10)
délicatement. Une pression excessive peut
endommager l’outil ou la fourche.
3. Fixer la plaque de guidage (Ref. #6)
dans l’étau.
4. Introduire la lame dans la fente du SG-8 et
scier la fourche. Ne pas appliquer de pression
excessive sur la lame. Garder la scie bien
droite dans la fente.
5. Retirer la fourche et ébavurer avec du papier
de verre très fin.
SG-8 Guia para Cortar Tubo de
Tijera de Carbono
Diseñada para guiar seguetas de corte usadas
específicamente para tubos de tijera de carbono,
el SG-8 ayuda a cortar correcto, seguro y
limpiamente tubos de tijeras de carbono de 1”,
1-1/8” y 1-1/4”.
Instrucciones:
1. Marque con cuidado el lugar de la tijera donde
se cortara.
2. Introduzca la tijera en el SG-8 hasta ver por
la ranura la marca. Apriete el maneral (ref.
#10) con presión moderada. Una presión
excesiva puede dañar la cuerda del SG-8 y
dañar la tijera.
3. Sujete el plato de la guía con un tornillo
de banco.
4. Coloque la segueta en la ranura para corte del
SG-8 y corte la tijera. No aplique demasiada
fuerza en la segueta. Mantenga la segueta
dentro de la ranura cortando hacia abajo.
5. Retire la tijera y asiente el corte con una
lija fina.
