SAFETYWARNING
Internal electrical and electronic parts can cause severe electric shock, and
shouldnot be accessed by anyone other than factory-authorized personnel.
Inspect your Go-Ped® for shipping damage, and to ensure all components are in
proper order. In the case of any damage or questions, contact your authorized Go-
Ped® reseller or call the Go-Ped® technical support line at (925) 373-7827. Office
hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. PST
GETTING STARTED
Your electric Go-Ped® is equipped with an automatic thermal cutoff
switch. When the vehicle is abused by running continuously over
excessive grades (inclines), over soft materials like carpet, or rubber
mats, or exceeding the recommended total weight capacity of 250 lbs.,
the motor will get overheated. The internal thermal switch will disconnect
the power from the motor until the temperature has once again reached
safe levels. The Go-Key® will have to be removed and re-inserted to reset
the electronic controllers. Operating the controls (pulling the throttle and
brake levers) continuously while standing still will also cause internal
damage.
TIRES
OVERHEATING
Non-pneumatic tires require no maintenance, but must be replaced when
normal wear and tear makes the tire diameter reach the wear limit
(“dimple”) found on the side of the tire. Inspect for damage (i.e. split,
cracked or torn tires should be replaced immediately).
BATTERY CHARGING
The Electric Go-Ped® comes partially charged. It is highly recommended that you
charge your Electric Go-Ped® for a minimum of 3 hours
beforeyourinitialuse.
The LEDA1 display on the deck is called the Flux Capacitor.
It is used to help provide battery status at times of use or
whilebeingcharged. AllfiveilluminatedLEDlightsindicate
a full charge while one indicates a dead battery.
Theprovided power cord(ora standard computerpower
cord) and a wall socket is all that is needed to charge your
Go-Ped®.Plugoneendofthepower cord into the right/rear
of the standing platformA4 and the other into the wall socket.
AlwaysremembertounplugyourGo-Key®A2 whennot in
use.
ThebatteriesusedtopoweryourGo-Ped® are Sealed
Lead-Acid. These are very similar to the technology used in
maintenance-freeautobatteries.Lead-Acidbatteries DO
NOT retain any memory, meaning you should NEVER fully
discharge your batteries to the point that your Go-Ped® is barely moving. Do not
exceed12hours of charging time. Over-dischargingand/orover-chargingLead-
Acid batteries will greatly diminish the battery cycle life. You should also try and
“Top Off” your batteries (3 to 4 hours) before setting out on a long ride. We also
recommend that you DO NOT attempt to ride the Go-Ped® uphill at full-throttle for
anextendeddurationandup5%gradesor greater.
Minimumchargetime 3hours
Best charge time 4 to 6 hours
Maximumcharge time 12 hours
DO NOT EXCEED the 12-hour max. Charge time to optimize your battery cycle
life.

· Removeyour“T”handle from the “T” handle-hook, and extend it upright
until the handle-lock tube locks into place.C1

the handlebar upright. The handle latch hooks the motor casing to hold
thehandle in the folded position for carrying or for storage.C2
· Includedinyour Owner’s Packet, you should have received a Go-Key®.

CONTROLS TIPS
BEFORE YOU RIDE -Thoroughly inspect the unit for looseordamagedparts
before each use. Do not use until adjustments or repairs are made. Position your

the left leg slightly behind the right and bearing most of the weight while bending
your knees. When accelerating or climbing hills you will need to lean forward a
little to keep the front wheel on the ground. Under hard braking conditions you will
need to lean back to keep the rear-wheel on the ground.
