Introduction
Thank you for choosing the Smoke Stream 1200HV smoke machine. You
now own a rugged and powerful state-of-the-art machine. Prior to use, we
suggest that you carefully read all of the instructions. By following the
suggestions found in this user manual, you can look forward to the reliable
and satisfactory performance of your smoke machine for years to come.
Suitability of Use
This product has been designed for the frequent user. This product may be supplied for use in discotheques or
high use applications. The warranty is void should this product be supplied for the incorrect use or application.
Source manufacturing reserve the right to refuse warranty repair on this unit if it has been used in the incorrect
manner and or application. High volume products are available from Pea Soup Ltd. that will be able to stand
long-term use.
Please follow these operation, safety and maintenance instructions to ensure a long and safe life for your smoke
machine.
Unpacking & Inspection
Open the shipping carton and verify that all equipment necessary to operate the system has arrived intact.
Operation
•Plug power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. If necessary, turn power switch on rear of unit to ON position.
•To emit smoke, press the appropriate button on the remote for the desired length of time.
If your model includes a mounting bracket designed for overhead installation, it may be installed at floor level or
suspended overhead. If the unit is to be mounted using the bracket, it is important that the fog does not shoot
directly at any one’s face. Whatever installation method you choose, do not allow the unit to have more than a 15
degree angle of inclination. Never install above persons heads. Keep away from any inflammable materials
ensuring that this unit is out of reach.
Set Up
•Remove all packing materials from shipping box. Check that all foam and plastic padding is removed, especially
in the nozzle area.
•Place Smoke machine on a flat surface and remove liquid tank cap.
•Fill with Source Smoke Liquid only. Any other types of fluid can damage the unit. When filled, place cap back
on liquid tank.
•Firmly attach the remote control cable to the proper input on the rear of the machine.
Important
Always monitor tank fluid level as you are snowing. Running a smoke machine with no fluid can permanently
damage the unit. This will void your warranty. If you experience low output, pump noise or no output at all,
unplug immediately. Check fluid level, the external fuse, remote connection, and power from the wall. If all of the
above appears to be OK, plug the unit in again. If smoke does not come out after holding the remote button
down for 5 seconds, check the hose attached to the tank to make sure there is fluid going through the hose. If
you are unable to determine the cause of the problem, do not simply continue pushing the remote button, as this
may damage the unit. Return the machine to your dealer.
Storage Information
Should you not use the Smoke machine for periods exceeding 4 weeks please flush the unit out with de-
mineralised water prior to storage. Simply fill the fluid tank and point the unit towards the floor and operate for 20
-30 seconds. This will clear the fluid lines, which may get blocked during long periods of inactivity. Do not add
any cleaning fluids to the unit.

Don’t forget to complete and return the enclosed warranty registration form within 14 days of purchase. This will
register your purchase and enable any further enquiries to be quickly dealt with. Warranties vary subject to
country of purchase.

Cautions

Danger of Electric Shock
•Keep this device dry.
•For inside use only. Not designed for outside use. Professional use only.
•For the 110V models, use 3-prong grounded electrical outlet only. Prior to use take care to determine that the
unit is installed at the rated voltage.
•Always unplug your Smoke Machine before filling its tank.
•Keep the Smoke machine upright.
•Turn off or unplug when not in use.
•This machine is not water- or splash-proof. If moisture, water, or liquid gets inside the housing, immediately
unplug the unit and contact a service technician or your dealer before using it again.
•No user serviceable parts inside. Refer to your dealer or other qualified service personnel.
Danger of Burns
•For adult use only. Smoke machine must be installed out of the reach of children. Never leave the unit running
unattended.
•Never aim the output nozzle directly at people.
•Avoid coming within 1000 mm of the output nozzle during operation.
•Leave at least 2000mm distance from the audience / persons / dance floor.
•Locate the machine in a well-ventilated area. Never cover the units vents.
•Never aim the output nozzle at open flames.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by manufacturer or its service agent or similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
•Keep flammable materials at least 1000 mm away from the nozzle.
•In order to guarantee adequate ventilation, allow a free air space of at least 50cm around the sides and top of
the unit.
•Excessive use of this unit will result in surfaces becoming slippery ensure this is monitored.
Danger of explosion
•Never add flammable liquids of any kind (oil, gas, perfume) to the smoke liquid.
•Pay attention to all warning labels and instructions printed on the exterior of your smoke machine
•Use only Source high-quality, water-based smoke fluid. Use of any other liquid will void all warranties. Other
liquids may cause clogging or spitting and may be harmful to health.
•Always make sure there is sufficient liquid in the liquid tank. Operating this unit without liquid will cause damage
to the pump as well as over-heating of the pump. This will void your warranty
•If your Machine fails to work properly, discontinue use immediately. Drain all liquid from the tank, pack the unit
securely (preferably in the original packing material), and return it to your dealer for service. You will need a copy
of your invoice.
Important
Health Warning
Ensure that your dealer or distributor only supplies genuine Source smoke liquid with this product. Your warranty
is immediately void if you use any other brand of smoke liquid. Use of any other fluid in this machine may be
harmful to health. In certain circumstances fog, smoke effects may cause temporary discomfort to certain
individuals with breathing difficulties. Ensure the audience is notified of effects prior to each and every use. If you
have any doubts about use of this product consult your local health and safety government office and obtain
written instructions prior to use.
